A question for those who have played SF4? Are dizzy combos back like in easy dizzy combos on SF2 HF or the dizzy system is like ST that is random? How often do you get dizzy per round?

I think I remember seeing a video where they talked about it and Ken dizzied his opponent with a jump-in -> c.mp -> c.hp -> shoryu.
Maybe it'll get toned down but who knows.

What's wrong with having a stun gauge?

Stun comboes are awesome, and they are in every SF.
Since you can get stunned in SF4, I'm guessing that stun comboes do exist in that game.

I hope to God they don't bring back Guile's re-dizzy combo lol. I'd rather have a stun guage than the old 4-hit combo dizzy strat.

I wouldnt mind a ridiculous re-dizzy combo, just so long as it's not easy as all hell to pull off.
So far it seems that there's no stun gauge though. Dizzies are more than likely going to work in a SF2-esque fashion, hopefully toned down a bit.

Yes, there are dizzies in SFIV. However, it is difficult, not to mention slow, to get out of a dizzy. I got into a dizzy twice during the times I played, and there's no visual indicator on how fast you can recover from a dizzy when you mash on the buttons and stick. You will see birds or whatnot encircling your characters head, but you won't see your character's body move faster or the encircling objects move faster if you mash.
I saw someone else get dizzied, and his opponent didn't capitalize for some reason. The person's character slowly recovered, even though he was mashing buttons, and then the things that encircled the characters head disappeared in a poof of smoke. Only shortly AFTER that he was able to move again. This took like 4 seconds, if I recall correctly.
I hope they fix this part of the game, to say the least... recovering from dizzies doesn't feel like traditional SF. But keep in mind that it was rare to get dizzy... I played 210 matches and only got dizzy twice. Then again, I didn't leave myself wide open to put myself in that situation too often.

I hope they see to this too then [even though you said it was rare, but still].

Considering how SF4 is reassembling SF2s gameplay more and more, I wouldn't be surprised. I can't help but think that SF4 is more like an extremely beefed up update to SSF2T except slower gameplay.
yeah except if youve actually been following the info on the game its clearly nothing like sf2

Thank you for the reply everyone. I like SSF2 dizzy system(but not the redizzy combos) than anything else i hope they make it like a mechanic in gameplay someday in future SF sequel.

i'm hoping the Dizzy system will be adopted from CvS2 (invisible stun meter).

From the looks of it, it won't have TOD (touch of death) combos like ST. In ST your life bar drains much more quickly (although I can't say for sure because I haven't played the final version of SFIV).
