I'm loving it, I personally thought Capcom took the wrong route by trying to replace irreplaceable characters with characters less popular that sort of played like them. Seemed counter productive really. As long as a few more NEW characters are added then it's all good, right?

Alter his lame looking Hawk dive to do something more realistic looking like a kick of the wall Hawk dive when jumping back and something similair to demon flip when going forward. Also do somethng about that lame ass fighting stance!

I'm happy with the returning characters already in place, I don't really want any more returns honestly...ok I guess on SF3 character perhaps (Mokoto FTW), but thats about it. Akuma...*sigh, well yeah he is definite it seems, but its like in every game he is the superior shoto with many more offensive options, teleports, etc. and simply balanced by having piss poor vitality. I dunno thats always annoyed me, although I admit he's always real fun to play. I guess Cammy would be an alright addition, probably the best choice of the new challengers...however if they added Fei Long...think of the epic matches he could have with Rufus...Bruce lee wannabe vs Bruce Lee imitation!

I'm guessing that once the WW roster is complete (have Claw and Dictator been confirmed?), the developers will add nothing but new characters, to pad the roster up to between 16 and 20. They've hinted at Akuma too and it'd be a waste if he were anything more than a balanced regular character.

I also strongly suspect that Capcom intend to really squeeze the franchise through downloadable content. I'm betting that not long after SF4 is out of the stocks, there'll be (at the very least) New Challengers packs (Fei Long, T.Hawk, Cammy, Deejay), shortly followed by Alpha 1, 2 & 3 packs. Could be interesting, no?

Also, side bets on a Capcom C.Viper vs Angelina Jolie court case? :lol:

Her play style for me personally. The fact that SFIV could use some more speedier characters kind of helps. And she's one of the better SF2 characters, so if they have to add SF2 characters, might as well bring in a character a lot of people like. SF4 could also use more females.

Sure it looks heavy with ST characters now, but even those characters seem to have to play differently given the current fighting engine employed--I hear a lot about Gief, Sim, shotos and new chars, but right now it seems most of the people going to the loc-tests are reporting on the new characters (e.g. I almost never hear anything about Blanka).

I understand that some people are getting their panties in a bunch over story inconsistencies (Bison can't be back, he's dead! Oh noes! And what about SF3?!), but seriously, wtf does it matter if the end product is a SF game that can feel like SF and still bring more to the table (everything I've read about SAs make them sound pretty interesting, actually)?

Here's hoping for a game that's competitively fun :woot:.

I hear you, I'm glad Bison's back personally. Leave it to Capcom to connect the dots. The game's always been about fun first though. Chill with the canon crap, if they find a way to bring back more fan favs - let them.

About Blanka, him being the first SF2 character I really mastered, I hope he gets treated right. The cannon-roll super for an ultra was Gutter Trash. Something tells me they're adding the multi-supers though, and that some of those ultras that were really just supers, are gonna be regular supers. And they'll get unique, CREATIVE ultras. I hope.

And... Vega/M. Bison wasn't killed by Gouki/Akuma back in 1994 when SSF2T/X came out. In all japanese endings (which weren't in the american version) cleary shows that Vega was Shun Goku Satsued by Gouki but did survive (if so, how come Guile, Cammy and T.Hawk's ending could occur, even on Gouki's ending hints that Vega is still alive). It was mentioned that he was recovering from that attack during SF3: New Generations. But... by the time 3rd Strike was about to be released (around 1998/9), a note on Gamest mentioned that Gouki ANIHILATED Vega and Ryu found the dictator's burning remains shortly after.

So... they just returned to the original story instead of using that Gamest note. Although, we still need to see his story in SF4 to be sure.

I think almost everyone would of preferred a 2d Street Fighter. But hey, the game looks real good and is much cheaper than it would be to make the game 2d in HD. If it means the game has to be 3d for Capcom to support the series, so be it.

Considering how it looks and seems to play, I think it's a change we can all deal with and even enjoy.
