SFIV linking up with New Street Fighter Movie?

As most of us know, there is a new Street Fighter movie coming, in production now. Now the story will revolve around Chun-Li, probably pursuing her captured father. This might spawn a few sequels as Shadaloo is introduced in this movie.

I was thinking that SFIV might re-ignite the Street Fighter story franchise and link up with the story of the movies. What do you think?

The story of the game and the movie won't be directly related. This movie, like the other, the anime, the cartoons or the manga/comics, won't be canon story wise because it obviously will have some "adaptations" in the story "to fit better in the cinema".

But of course Capcom will relate them in terms of marketing, to do cross-selling. When they'll talk in press releases or in (non videogames) magazines about the movie, they'll talk also about SFIV and I suppouse they'll use the videogames channels to promote the movie.

Let me remind you that last live action Street Fighter film was absolute failure.

Guile the main character, wha!? Honda from Hawaii huh!? Balrog a Camera man wtf!? Ken being a con-man and Ryu his accomplice uhh!?

And never FORGET that the Street Fighter the Movie produced the worst SF related game ever it will be permanently etched as the low point of the series to never be forgotten for eternity.
