Im hoping to generate some interest in a friends new business. He sells electronics at sufficiently competitive prices. I don't mind this thread turning into a comparison of the prices of electronics amongst various venders. If there is a thread for things of this nature already, go ahead and close this. Similarly, if this offends the mods, do the same. Any how, this is the site.

Ive known this person since I was in 3rd grade, so I don't think his offers are invalid. He is also willing to personally negotiate prices in this stage of his business. Considering he doesn't have the money to go forth with any form of advertising besides online, I ask that you check him out yourself to determine whether the deals hold water or not before flippantly dismissing him as a scam artist. What you say actually matters here, please check him out.

I did check it out. He seems to have raised the "retail price" of some items just to make his price look like more of a discount. Wii for 399.99? PS3 40gb for 499.99? Those aren't right.
Murt!

Well, what's especially deceptive about the wii package is that it counts wii sports as "five games" and fails to mention that it's bundled with EVERY wii ever sold anywhere retail.
The "14 game" package which counts Wii sports as 5 games and Wii play as 7 is especially misleading. It's not quite a lie, but I can't really see it construed as much better than an attempt to make people who don't know better think they're getting more than they are.

272.01 is for the refurbished wiis, $313.86 are how much the new ones cost. However even at that price it still is a $86.13 savings off the retail price of $399.99!

"I will change the retail prices to reflect the current retail prices, but I will negotiate to keep my price below my competitors to give the best deal. Sorry for the inconvience." He wanted me to relay that. I wish I had noticed the problems with his pricing schema when he directed me to his site, but I have no experience with that sort of thing. I ask the same thing again, check him out and see if there's anything of value there for yourself. I just want to help him get started up, that is all. P.S Im trying to get him to set an account up and come in her himself, so you might be able to "speak" with him yourselves soon enough. EDIT:Monte, your avatar makes my head hurt.

I like the review for the "14 games with 4 controllers" Wii bundle. Says that bundle is cheaper than retail stores, even though by my calculations going to a retail store would be about $67 cheaper. But I'm sure that is an honest review

I got a bit of advice: Tell him to stop advertising wii sports as 5 games and sports+wii play as 14 games. That's horribly misleading. Wii sports is 1 game which consists of several mini-games.
