I could be wrong but I think the post count is taken depending on the version of software you're using. Like they have various versions of Vbulletin on there. Considering how often Wizard upgrades the software on here, the number is probably vastly lower than it should be if you consider how long the message board has actually been around.

"use search n00b!111!!", a mod comes in to ban the guy, followed by a hundred more "pwned!" posts, he will post a sticky thread "whoever posts the bill o'reilly vid again will be banned!" and within that thread there's more "pwned!" posts etc. etc.
