Many big private companies have those as standard. The ones where you work in an office, big building, etc. In general, pretty much any salaryman will have those benefits.

Like say, if you're an engineer or business person who is considered a permanent employee, gets a salary type job for say, $70k a year... usually that will also have benefits packages which include employee stock purchase, good 401k matching, and health, vision and dental for those employees and their families.
Pretty much all major companies have the business end folks looking over the numbers, doing the marketing and sales, maintaining relationships with the customers etc. while the operations end such as the engineers are developing the products the company sells, and they're the ones who are best compensated money-wise and benefits-wise.

How about some advice for a college student to find a job that got health or dental benefits? That's kinda hard for a college student isn't it? :(

I have no first hand experience but I heard that Starbucks has great benefits that rivals even those on SAG/ACTRA because they even cover non-immediate medical coverage like accupuncture and chiropractic stuff. http://www.starbucks.com/aboutus/jobcenter_thesbuxexperience.asp
Seattle based companies seem to have superior benefit coverage for their employees compared to others. Google and Microsoft seem to have great packages as well.

Also, before you get too hype about your benefit package, shop around for health coverage. You may be taking a hit by making too big a deal about your company coverage.

Not at all. Most mid-to-large size businesses offer health and dental benefits. I'm not familiar with any trend of companies removing health benefits, but more of a significant upwards trend in prices and deductibles, which started a year or so after 9/11.
I've worked 6 jobs so far, small to large, and aside from when I was a paperboy, they all had benefits.
You really shouldn't worry about that as a job requirement. You need to look for a job where you can utilize the skills you learned in college. A common and most costly mistake made by college grads is getting some high-school grad level job (or below) after college that does not fit the skills they learned there. Next thing they know, 2-3 years pass and the degree isn't worth the paper its written on.
Total waste.
Don't be that person.

Good advice guys. Thanks.
I'll be quitting this job that gives me health and dental benefits because i have school. They said i can buy a withdraw card for 50 cents. Do you guys know anything about withdraw cards? All i know is if you quit, get fired, or illness, then you can come back after you're done with whatever you're doing. Will this withdraw card gauranteed me to come back to my job? I asked my supervisor and she said it won't necessary gauranteed me to allow to come back. I have to talk to the union people, which i'm going to do on Mond. Not sure how it's gonna go. :xeye:
