Did a search for this and didn't find anything.

Just wow, a real life Beavis and Butthead.

http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2008/05/15/beavis_and_butthead_to_make_a_big_screen

MTV animation Beavis And Butthead is set to be the latest TV series to make it to the big screen. The show was broadcast on the network in the 1990s, and creator Mike Judge concedes he's now ready for a live-action revival.

He says, "For some reason, I used to hate the idea for years. Now, I think maybe there's something there." Judge adds at one point in the 1990s Johnny Depp wanted to play Beavis.

However, Sean William Scott and Jon Heder are rumored to be lined up to star as the MTV-loving pals in the new creation.

SANTA MONICA, California — They pissed off our parents, filled our mouths with clever catchphrases, mocked your favorite music videos, and followed their hit TV show with the #1 opening of a nationwide film

Then they were gone.

Now, Beavis & Butt-Head might be getting ready to do it all over again — and wait until you hear what they're gonna look like.

"I feel like it's something I can come back to and do," creator Mike Judge told us when he stopped by our studios to promote "The Animation Show," an eye-popping theatrical/DVD cartoon extravaganza that has occasionally featured the dimwitted duo. "I did a little animated intro for this ['Animation Show: Volume 3'] thing."

Judge — who also created TV's "King of the Hill," as well as the films "Office Space" and "Idiocracy" — recently spoke to us about the next phase in his career, which includes the Jason Bateman-starring comedy "Extract." After that film, he might turn his attention to bringing back everyone's favorite fire-loving fools.

"I've even thought about doing a live-action 'Beavis & Butt-Head' possibly," he revealed.

As his die-hard fans know, the now-iconic "Office Space" characters Milton and Lumbergh came from early cartoons drawn by Judge long before Stephen Root or Gary Cole brought the characters to life. It was Judge's infamous "Frog Baseball" short that landed him the deal to create a show for Beavis & Butt-Head, and now he's warming up to the thought of giving them a similar animated-to-live-action makeover.

"I guess Seann William Scott's kinda got Butt-Head eyes," Judge agreed when given one possible casting idea. "A long time ago, Johnny Depp had said to me that he really wanted to play Beavis. ... He was doing that ['Don Juan DeMarco'] movie with Marlon Brando, and he said Marlon Brando used to imitate Butt-Head, and he would do Beavis."

A big fan of both cartoons and classic comedy, Judge agreed that the notion of two headbanging, fast-food-slinging, smartass buddies seems as relevant today as it did in the '90s. So perhaps fans would embrace new, real-life guys rocking those iconic AC/DC and Metallica T-shirts.

"The Three Stooges survived a lot of different guys with Shemp, Curly," he reasoned. "I haven't yet said, 'OK, I wanna make a live-action "Beavis & Butt-Head" movie, and here's the idea.' But for some reason, I used to hate the idea for years, and now I think maybe there's something there."

All he has to do now is find two teen actors who can deliver the perfect "heh-heh-heh" laughs. And after the arduous process of casting his first two live-action films, Judge isn't sure he's ready to watch all those actors unveiling their best underbites and "uhhhhh ..." line deliveries.

"Casting is bad enough as it is. I don't know if I want to sit through a casting session trying to find the live-action Beavis & Butt-Head," he laughed.

Sounds retarded.

Speed Racer should have taught movie makers that you can't just revive any old IP and make it profitable.

think about how many of your friends can do awesome b&b impressions. as long as they don't pick total shit actors, they can't fail. there's so many things to go 'ehehheheheheheh' at nowadays.

I guess live-action Beavis & Butthead could work since the show itself wasn't off the wall to the point where making it live-action would be stupid.

I'd prefer it to be an animation, but I'll keep my eye on this.

Sean William Scott as Beavis and Jon Heder as Butt-Head? If Johnny Depp still wanted to play Beavis, I would much rather see him do it.

Think about their faces though, a good looking beavis would be retarded. Stiffler as beavis could very well work but hell have to lose all his muscle lol

Good point. B&B are very easy characters to imitate. I'm hopeful.

Jon Heder? I thought his religion forbade him from roles like this.

1. Why not animate it? The characters owe their physicality to animation, and making it live action is (probably) going to come across as gimmicky and irritating. For further reference, see just about every other live action revival of an animated property.

2. Why now? Why not do another Beavis and Butthead movie when it would have actually made sense to? The show is too old to be fresh and too young to be classic, so this isn't exactly striking when the iron is hot.

Mike Judge has proven that he can do live action (Office Space), so I have confidence in this.

Since when has that stopped hollywood? They made a transformers movie when the series wasnt as u say when the iron is hot. As well as Xmen, Iron man, and many others.

a) be hilarious
b) Have the most metal soundtrack any movie has had in the last 12 years
c) pack the theater full of drunk mid 20's early 30's fans
d) renew my purpose for living.

Except Office Space used Milton and Lumburgh as secondary characters with little time on screen, and based it around a completely different story and main character. Would be a whole different thing if the movie was actually built around them.

On paper it sounds like they casted bnb perfectly and that this could be just as funny as the cartoon but when you think about it for more then a split second you realize it will probably fail in the transition from animation to "real life".

That being said I won't write this movie off completely, with the right plot and situations it could end up being a decent but slightly less funny and much less relevant harold and kumar ripoff.

No, Transformers was made because people for the longest time have always wanted a live action transformers movie. The same goes for the comic book movies.

Beavis and Butthead not so much. Nobody and i do mean nobody gives too shits about Beavis and Butthead now. Making a live action movie of it makes no sense.

The thing about this is that Mike Judge is still active. The guy hasn't slowed down a bit since B&B days, and if he's playing an active, or leading role in this, I'm confident. You can't really compare it to TF, which was handled by a guy who openly admitted he thought the source material was shitty.

Mormonism but yeah he would probably violate his religion for the chance to play such a classic character. Aaron Eckhart was raised mormon and look at In the Company of Men and Thank You For Smoking.

I remember reading that Jon Heder would refuse roles that involved any profanity due to his mormon religion, but after watching him in Blades of Glory, I'm wondering if that's still goin' on. He does cuss some and even flips the birdy.

I could kinda see him as Butthead though.

Aaron Eckhart was raised mormon and look at In the Company of Men and Thank You For Smoking. The Mormon church prohibits the use of tobacco, so it makes sense that Eckhart would gravitate towards a satire of the tobacco industry.
