So what programs do you guys use for splitting MP3s? I have mp3 splitter and joiner but the uh.. "special program" that is supposed to make it work.. doesn't work.

Any ideas? Preferably free and easy to use.. much appreciated.

Hmm .. just got around to trying Audacity. Works great for smaller MP3s, but takes like 5-6 minutes to load 2 hour mixes. Any other suggestions?

I imagine you are going to get that load time with any program as 2 hours of mp3 data is quite a lot.

I used something called MP3 Direct Cut on a file that was a bit over an hour long. Worked fine for me. Take this with a grain of salt seeing as I couldn't operate Audacity for some reason. Maybe I downloaded the wrong version if that's even possible.

I assume he's trying to split long mixes into separate tracks.

As is Audacity.

I used it to mix music for my Final Project game in college and loved it. It's as simple or as complex as you want it to be.
