I came across this program on CNET today. It claims to convert YouTube video's to any format (iPod, iPhone, PSP, WMV, etc.). It's not the first of its kind, but it's definitely better and easier than the others that I've tried. I tried this one on one video and it worked fine for me. I can't guarantee that it will work for everybody (it depends on which codecs you have installed among other things). But I thought that there may be other people interested so I wanted to share it.

EDIT: User 'Nightwing1990' pointed out another software (which I have not tried) that supports batch downloads/conversions (see below). Also, that claim I made about the original quality being downloaded might be incorrect so I removed it.

-Shit that might get taken down early
-Tutorial videos, since you can't play them in slow motion in youtube's player

don't get what's on youtube that needs to be downloaded so eagerly.Heh I guess the topic was kind of misleading. Most of it is just stuff like "I wish I could download this instead of having to go on YouTube every time." But there are some random collectors out there who really must have more video's than they can watch in a lifetime. Plus what Kyokuji said.

You can also use keepvid.com and drag the "keep it" tab onto your firefox toolbar. And whenever you're watching a video you just click on the "keep it" tab on your toolbar, and you can download the video in either .flv or .mp4

I use the Moyea series. It has a Downloader, which has worked better (meaning it works period lol) than any other FLV downloader, and it has a separate converter that converts it to whatever container you want.

From the way you worded the thread title I thought you were going to say it had a HD destroying virus in it.

I use FireFox Download Helper (even though you can't convert with it) and that works for me. I've give this new program a whirl. Thanks for the update.

I can't find anything that works on veoh. I usually just go to my temporary internet and copy the .flv file to my documents, then convert it.
