:u: haha that'd be alli and I don't think it'd work if you have a healthy diet. Hot Rox Extreme is serious stuff but if you haven't taken a thermogenic before it should be avoided or you should try to find the hardcore version which isn't as strong as the extreme version. Thermogenics can get kinda expensive so unless you've really tried everything you could I'd suggest taking another look at the food log.

I was thinking about trying hydoxycut out. I know there's no magic pill that makes you lose weight but I need some help. I just got off Zoloft ironically b/c this anti-depressant made me gain weight and bummed me out.

i'm trying some pills right now. They're called "Dren." It definitely feels like they are doing something (my stomach feels weird after I take them), but how much I'll only know till the end of the month. Still, as said before no magic pill will make you go from fat nerd to super hunk in a short period of time.
Personally, I'm doing resistance training and cardio. The pills are only supposed to give you a little extra edge. You will never make any progress if you aren't willing to put in real work and experience some pain.

Go for the supermodel diet, cocaine and cigarettes.
If all else fails.. meth will do the trick. Serious weight loss there.
Alli will make you shit all over the place, everywhere, even when you dont think you need to shit. But I hear it works.

Oh brilliant. The solution to weight gained by popping pills is....popping more pills.
I fucking love North America.
I like to assume that any pill with a name like a robot (Zantrex) or a wizard (Zalestrim) will work exactly as advertised.
I have not researched this. Mostly because I don't want my theory shattered, and also because I believe fat is the new skinny.

Well what it does is lower your metabolism while increasing your appetite. My appetite's already back on track but I've heard it sometimes takes like 6 months for you metabolism to get back to normal. I've been running like crazy. I was running an hour a day but it started to kill my back. Now I'm at 40 minutes every other day. I've been doing resistance and a little dieting too( I suck at dieting b/c I have no idea what's bad for me.) I'm trying to cut out soda all together, too.
I've been at it for a month and a half and haven't lost a pound. I'm too sore to exercise more so I'm desperately turning to pills:crybaby:

You just need advice, not pills.
Firstly, a month and a half is nothing. You will see gains, but nothing drastic. Weight loss is semi-long term.
Secondly, an hour of running a day is useless. You're ust going to hurt yourself (and it sounded like you did). Keep the cardio to 20-30 minutes a day and you're good.
Thirdly, diet is 80%. This is a fact that most people trying to lose weight like to skip around, or just plain ignore. You can work out the whole day, but if you eat like shit, you're not going to lose weight. Cut out soda, yes. Drink plenty of water. Eat three meals a day, and make sure your sleep schedule is good. As for eating, it's not that hard to eat healthy, it's just common sense. McDonalds bad. Veggies/lean meat good. You don't have to keep a strict regiment. Dieting isn't about starving yourself for a month, it's about learning to eat healthy. Check the weightlifting/nutrition thread, or simply Google it. Also, cut out snacks altogether. No more chips and beer. If you must snack, stock up on bananas, grapes, and oranges. You can eat fruits all you want, all day. They're nothing but good for you.
Seriously, don't fall for corporate America's shenanigans, and get caught in the whole pill cycle.

Another thing I forgot

That isnt entirely true it depends on your metabolism. If you have high metabolism you can eat fast food 5 days out of the week and as you as you exercise will be in good shape. If your metabolism sucks then yeah you are going to have to cut out fast food. I have high metabolism, when I was in the Army I hate McDonalds, fake chinese food, pizza and burgers daily and was still 180 lbs because I worked out 5 days a week.

Actually no I am not, most people in the Army eat the exact same way I do. Like I said it depends on your metabolism and obviously age is a factor. Obviously it is always better to cut out shit like fast food but it isnt always a necessity for everyone.

diet pills won't do anything for you. just watch out on what you eat because having a good diet is probably the most important thing you need in order to lose some fat and weight. cut out the sweets, soda, fat foods, FAST foods, white rice, etc. Drinking water is a start.
it'll be a long hard road ahead of you but the results in the end will be worth it.

An important aspect of a diet is to make sure you don't cut out foods you like. Just eat less of it. Count your calories and make sure not to eat at night.
When it comes to exercise, running everyday is not good. You will not be able to keep that up long term. A good way to burn extra calories outside the gym is walking. It's good for the body and mind.
Also, don't look at the scale too much. The scale is misleading and can cause you to get discouraged.
There's no quick fix. Good luck.

Well my brother says he's going to 'make' me get buff in the summer so here's what he said to do that not only will probably help you lose weight but up muscle mass. He's pretty buff by the way.
He said he drinks a protein shake as soon as he wakes up and he eats 6 smaller meals throughout the day. He boils eggs and he says don't eat the yoke because it's just fat. Also eat chicken (not fried chicken) and or fish. I guess for workouts just use things that aren't too heavy and do more reps. If walking is a problem then swimming is always good. I am actually crippled in many ways so swimming is a good alternative for me.
Even without exercising too much, eating these healthier foods and boosting your metabolism will probably help by itself. I don't know about all of the protein though I guess you just have to actually work out for that.
Also he says take fish oil pills when you eat. Not sure what those do, I think he said they help your metabolism or something and I've heard other stuff it does.
Cutting out soda is definetly a good idea though, I am down to like 3 a week which is alot less then the 3 a day I used to drink. Soda companies just piss me off because you can make a soda that taste like Dr Pepper without caffiene, there just isnt as much profit in it.

1st thing you have to do is fix your eating, you can lose weight just by eating good.
exercise will help but eating is the most important part.
what you should do is write down everything you eat in 1 week day by day time you ate and what you ate.
this will help you to start making small changes and be aware of what you eat.
also if your having back pains then swimming will be a better exercise 3x a week 30min. other things you can do are play light sports like badminton, racquetball, volleyball, even table tennis oh and go biking do things that you will have fun doing so you will be looking forward to doing it again.
and don't do too much at once

:(
I used to be a coach/trainer for this, try dieting once more but try it this way.
http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm figure out how many calories you can eat per day if you just sit and do nothing. So lets use an example:
If you are 5'11, 400 lbs, 24 and you are sedentary you could eat 4120 calories daily and still lose weight.
I would say take 800 off that number and eat 3100 a day, THATS ALOT but go slowly, I have 2 people have sucess with this and the rest had sucess with just training and doing their own thing.
Things like diet pop, eggs (1 full egg and 2 egg white are only 100 calories) are really filling and oatmeal(you can get the instant low sugar packs), popcorn, I am no expert I mean I have been luckily small my whole like but I have friends and clients that used to struggle with weight and pills scare me.

Yes I'm still fat.
Fish oil helps to regulate cholesterol. I take fish oil, I used to take cod liver oil every morning when I was younger.
Anyways, you need to exercise and watch your calorie intake. I'm not fat and never was because I have a high metabolism, but my mom and dad did what I just said to lose some weight. I don't even have to exercise anymore to stay cut and trim, but should get back into it. Since the Army made us exercise everyday, I got used to it, but I kinda took exception to being forced to do something or suffer consequences and said fuck all that after I left.

A diet is what you eat every single day, not some lame ass 3 week plan to make you lose a pound a day or something stupid. A healthy diet is key along with exercise. Diet pills just make you not want to eat. Think about that for a second, your body needs fuel to properly function, and for some retarded reason you stop feeding it. Right, that will just make things worse. I knew a friend that took them, let us just say he had to make an emergency stop at my parent's house on his way to school, asking for water and a place to lay down. Homie was out for the count and needed a few hours to recover. Again, that stuff is not healthy at all.
You would be amazed as to what healthy diet and 30-45 minutes of cardio a day can do for the body. Hell, just simply walking for 30 minutes a day does wonders.
EDIT
Simple things to eliminate are soft drinks. Lay off on the bread. Also, drink LOTS of water. If your piss isn't crystal clear, you aren't drinking enough water.

You're right in that unless you're extremely talented, your body needs fuel to properly function. The fuel that is required is just a lot less than we think we need.

If you are going to go on any fat burners I suggest taking some nutritional supplements in addition to a really tailored diet as well. From personal experience, you not only burn the fat but you lose a lot of good stuff in the process.
And also agreeing with the sleep thing. You will be breaking down your body and it will need to rebuild.

Lol jk, but I second Hydroxycut. I did that for like 3 months for 1 summer. I lost about 15 lbs in less than 2 months. I know thats little/slow compared to others but thats with eating decent, lifting Mon, Wed, Fri, then DDR (Cardio) for like 1-2 hours on Tue and Thurs. Sometimes I played ball on the weekends, but yeah. Just do something and not sit on your ass everyday, and watch what you eat. Thats basically what anyone is going to tell you if you wanna lose weight. Oh and dont get frustrated if you dont see results in days maybe even in weeks, but dont lose your focus. Half the people who try and lose weight stop their "diet" because they dont see the results, and feel like they working for nothing. Seriously though, do something you like. I like DDR so I use that to shed some calories while having fun. Go bike, play ball, etc. Goodluck
