FedEx Kinko's is dead. Long live FedEx Office?

June 2 (Bloomberg) -- FedEx Corp., the largest air-cargo shipper, will record a cost of $696 million to rename the Kinko's unit as FedEx Office to win more large business customers.

Stupidest idea ever. Kinko's has become a default type of name for the copy/fax/quick internet/shipping out stuff place (like a kleenex for a tissue, for example). How are you going to just get rid of it?

I've never been to the local Kinko's place, but I know of it by that name. If I drive by and see a FedEx Office, I'm instantly gonna think that the only thing I can do there is drop off a package that needs to be sent out.

I used to work at Kinko's, when they had first been bought by fedex, and it took forever for all the kinko's signs to get changed to fedex kinko's. As well as the uniforms, headers, posters, signs, etc. I agree with the poster that said it's like the kleenex of the copy world.

I worked nights by myself. The only reason I worked nights alone is because everyone else that worked there was pretty useless and couldn't be trusted to finish simple jobs or do simple tasks.

Also, there are some crazy ass bitches that go at 3am to make copies. Between drug addict machine kickers, and people wanting to ship things at 3am to get to another state in a few hours, like we had a fucking jet waiting in the parking lot, was just ridiculous.

Good for FedEx, I suppose. If this means that all the suck in Kinko's will go with the name then maybe I'll go back there for all my printing needs? Which is still pretty much zero so fuck them anyways.

After FexEx bought out Kinko's, service there has gone to complete shit. I have gotten such poor quality service there I started going to Office Depot and doing everything there instead.
