what is a good, reliable midscreen reset that will either kill my opponent or put him in the corner. people please dont reply with some combo that takes up 3 lines... all i need something RELIABLE that will reset and put me in a position to guardbreak or finish off the character. peace

ok, for the first mag/psy, you want to dash under them to get to the other side. But as you pass underneath them, quickly dash back, but not too far, so that you are not to far to connect the lk.
so it should go like this:
launch, sj.rh, ad.df, sj.lk, sj.lk. dash to the other side, once you pass them, quickly tap back, lk + Psy, lk..........
If you dash under them without tapping back, you'll have that problem where you go to far.
the second Mag/Psy:
Sounds like your trying to do the inf? Am I correct?
But anyway, after you dash df from the roundhouse, you want to jump, but hold down. Actually, you don't have to hold down for the whole combo, but you must hold down for mags lk, which has two versions. If you don't hold down, he will kick high, if you hold down, he will kick low. Holding down will allow you to juggle.
So the combo goes like this:
Launch, rh, dash df, lk, lk, \/ j. jab, j. d. lk, j. jab...........
basically you can do anything from there.

off topic...
if i remember my history correct, there's a controversy over the hamilton/burr duel. hamilton shot his gun in the air...BUT, he may have done it accidentally. his gun was rigged to have a "hair trigger," meaning it's more sensitive. because of this, he may have shot it in the air by accident, since he's not used to having duels. so, burr took his time and shot him.
well, i'm not that good in mvc2, so i gotta show experience in something. :)
i got a question...i do magneto's jumping infinite (can't do the sj one...too hard for me) and so what's a good thing to end it with? i try w/ cyke and unmashable tempest, but it's weird and doesn't connect all the time. what's a good reset w/ this infinite?

I usually play Sent, Mag/Storm, Commando... my Sent can hold it'z own, but when my Mag/Storm comez in they just get fucked up.:( U've seen my shit, how can I improve them so they will at least do a lil damage???:bluu:

cable/cyc counters sentinel ridiculously well. call the assist on the ground, sj up, gun shot, grenade, lp vb when falling. obviously mix up everything and just keep things interesting.
think about it, if you're sent, how are you going to get through an assist that sweeps the ground (don't forget the final part of that assist that shoots the red part up), and a character who can punish any mistakes and keep you at bay with gun shots and grenades?

Ehh I have a question about a mag combo I saw. I was wondering how it's done exactly.. It's prolly simple but I might as well ask :P
Anyways, psy is called out to start it, then:
dash, c.lk, c.hk, jump backwards, j.hk, ad.df, j.lk, j.lk (not sure if the second one is needed), s.hk (looks like both hits are supposed to go through) then hyper tempest. Eh, it looks pretty good, but I dunno if that's exactly how you do it. Any help?

You don't have to jump backwards though, and u need to cancel the first hit of the roundhouse for the tempest to connect

i was watching some of the japanese videos, and then i realized i don't know how to get out of the sent/bh trap, (low fierce+bh, drones/bombs, low fierce, super, repeat). How do you get out with magneto/storm, and how do you get out with a low tier character? like when do you jump or super jump?
Also when your psylocke is about to get pounded by reset hsf, how do you get out of that so she doesn't die? I've seen magneto do a jump and pushblock or something like that, and i've seen storm do a typhoon to take the hit and mess up the timing. is there more ways or a more practical way?

i need some ways to finish off my infinite and my team is mag/IM/psylocke....
gimme anything excepet, inf, jump, j.lk+psylocke,j.lk, unmashable tempest and what are some kool resets that will totally confuse the guy so i can restart my infinite?
*i dont know what thread to post this in so ill just post it here since i just started wondering...what other top tier chars' combos can i get out of by mashing?
...and mana, IMO thumb technique is waaay easier

STFU n00b It's like a chromatic scales on a piano...so it's hella easy for me. Potter is only used to wiping cum on the backside of his pillowcase, so sliding his fingers is natural for him.
edit: My mags is faster for the rec, potter is just better with storm. :confused: :lol:

a smart thing to do would be to call drones then rush the hoe down cause so if she launches u the drones will hit
and do the crossup from the crossup vid
launch. hk. airdash d/f lk. lk. dash under and call sent at the same time lk. lk. tempest

u won't be able to dl the vid this month, but it will be available next month. it has some sick ass crossups. With mag and im, if u haven't used psylock to start the infinite, u can u launch sj.hk., air dash d/f lk. lk. jump short, plus im, short fierce tempest unmashable and it takes a lot
or
and anytime ur doing in the infinite, just dash on the other side and launch
or
dash on the other side and press lk, plus psylock, lk
there are a lot of resets
these are just basic onez that usually werk

How does MSP take on Runaway storm. Like I can't even cross the ho up when she is coming down cuz of FP. And why is storm so annoying to infinite?

how do you do that one combo where the opp falls on the ground and mag goes for the otg with c.lk, c.rh XX tempest? i noticed a little delaying before the rh, i did this a couple of times, but most of the time, the opp just falls through the tempest, is it cuz i hafta be a certain distance when he falls or just really good timing with the delay?

Yea fuck Storm/Psy. Gay ass team. Anyways... Mag/Sent has a tight ass reset w/ his RH throw. Do infinite... then do RH throw EM disruptor to tempest to HSF and it like kills a char... but it costs 2 super. I dunno if it has been posted on here... I'm sure it has.
Oh yea... when peeps mash on Jab to stop you sj RH, airdash SJ LK, SJ LK reset... I find dash under and don't do shit but call Psylocke works... cuz they get hit.
Does anyone use Mags' forcefield lol? Viscant a long time ago said he has some forcefield tactics... I think so.

Try distancing yoursfelf as far back as possible and the second the tip of mags foot hits u super

in like 10 mins
fuck that shit is hard
and it seems useless unless u master the timing then it will become hella useful

explain why it's useful when you can go c. lk+psy lk xx temp? BTW, you just gotta wait as long as possible between the lk and fk. =\ It's actually not that hard, but I don't see the practicality of when there are a million better things you could do with a short short set up.

and it's flashy
and u can just do it every time u hit with psy
and the character will already lose 70+ percent

i've seen some cool combos with psyclocke AAA that combos into the Hyper Tempest where it's guranteed to hit and the opponent can't mash out of the hypergrav (because there is none)...
is there a similar type of combo with someone like cyclops AAA? or is psyclocke the only person because her AAA puts the opponent into some kinda OTG stun?

actually, you have to call cyc aaa a split seconde after you do that last cr.hp.

I like this one, I use it whenever I grab someone in the corner :)
I also like to do in the corner : quick triangle jump with hk, cr.hk, triangle jump hk, cr. hk + cyc aaa, sj, hk, tempest.
Oh yeah, ekin or potter, supose mag grabs you with hk and then holds the stick down to put you right next to him, is it possible to roll out of it ?

after the clk, chk u needa sj to jump its takes time to get it down but if u cant do it then just hyper grab em after that. the slk should have the same affect but im not sure never tried it

in that combo i did c.lk c.lk + psy, sj air dash down shiff short c.lk c.hk. no reason. it doesnt do anything except looks flashy.
his s.lk is unrollable, you can use it i guess. you have to cancel the c.hk. after you do c.hk, let go of the stick, and flick it from down to up to get sj out

for some reason: cr LK + Storm assist, cr FP, sj FP, dash, sj FP, sj RH, land cr RH into Tempest is easier than the normal OTG into tempest. Its pretty dope considering you combo into the Tempest, then DHC to hail, and they are dead and you don't need resets or infinite till corner. The only time I see this happening is if you land a jumpin or they clearly leave themselves open. But still pretty dope.

I just snapback that shit and kill capcom first...or if you keep tri jumping really fast with hk, capcom will eat one as soon as he comes in so then you can go for sent's ass for a few seconds. If you're mid screen, i just keep jumping at sent with lk,lk,hp,hk when i think he's gonna bring out capcom and i just jump over the assist.
IMO, sent + capcom is a really hard duo against magneto so i guess the best thing to do is to do a snapback because without a good anti-air such as capcom, sent is a little schoolgirl compared to mag

Snapback is the ideal solution, but I prefer to AVOID the match up all together. You have a better chance with cable. ;)
If you MUST fight it out, rushdown with drones fp fp fk only after capcom has come out. Baiting capcom is essential. If he's flying about you, go for fp throws or fk in the corner...Mag without psy is a tough fight vs sent...
What saphire said about rushing down REALLY fast is just retarded...mag will get capcomed the fuck off sent, but lk lk fp fk until he calls capcom and dashing over him is smart and should be implemented in that match up alot, especially with drone suport. ^_^
