On a side note, how does SOP work in free-for-all DM? I don't play DM enough to know, but sometimes I'll see a person on SOP through the whole round, even after he dies, I die etc. (This happened once with Sep) But I'm an idiot and I don't know what triggers it.


Edit: I have a mic, and would use it too if anyone else used it. But Sep and DS, you guys are the most patient players I've ever seen. I thought I was patient waiting in a box for 3 minutes, but you guys take the cake.

The current leader in terms of score will be flashing through SOP in DM matches. It can get real annoying to be tracked down so easily. If you play it right, this will just help you stay in the lead, as everyone comes to you to die. :devil:

It will say MIC ON but no one will hear you unless you it says your name on the side.. you can change the volume it takes till it hears you under the options menu in sound. Its called voice recognition level. Set it to 3 and it probably won't turn on unless you speak.. leaving out unwanted noise in the background. Lots of people keep it at like 7+ and we hear the TV and loads of shit in the background.

Anyways... today was full of ghey. I got kicked 2 times for being in the lead on kills. One time in U.U when I went to the other teams Sniping area and ran back in forth between the 3 ladders picking them all off 1 by 1 as they tried to get on the roof. I was 1-1 before going there and when they finally got me, I was 16-2. Next thing I know, I get kicked. If they really wanted to snipe that bad, they should have all came up at once. I can't cover all 3 ladders... :wonder: or can I?

The other time happened in A.A where I was CQCing and Sniping like a madman. I choked out like 5 or 6 people back to back, got into their area, hid in a box sniped like 3 more then got kicked.

Then to top it off, I'm playing in U.U with a team of retards. It's was 23-62 at one point and it seems like I'm the ONLY person on my team killing anyone. Me and a teammate had 3 enemies closing in on us. I have no health so I figured I'd sacrifice myself to save the other guy. I pull out a smoke grenade and charge at the 3 guys. They kill me, my grenade drops, goes off and ALL 3 of them are stuck choking in the smoke. As I'm dead I figure, "Eureka, now he has 3 easy head shots. That's the Kamikaze Yeah Dood we know and love!!!" but no, what do I see? I see him running like hell away from the 3 guys. :bluu: I hope they tea bagged that coward something fierce.

So I'm trying a different approach other than just running around with an AR. I'm pretty good at sneaking up on people but sometimes I just feel like doing something else. Mosin Nagant = whole new set of fun.

EDIT: Plus, for some reason I'm really digging bolt action. I tend to use MN until I get enough for a DSR-1, which is my favorite. 1 Shotting someone in the chest just makes me feel good.

Sniper Rifle + decreases bolt action time as well. I'm thinking about using it but I know those + skills aren't exactly the best.

It still has the same death / kills I had before. And lately, my games have had always more kills than deaths.

Anyone up for sum practice tonite? i get out of class at about 8 or so, n ill b home around 9 ish, ill b on as soon as i get home. if ur on send me a msg online and ill join the practice lobby, we rlly gotta work on communication cuz ive noticed thatwen we were fighting like 3 ppl of a different clan yesterday n i went on their team to even things out; they had a lot of communication n that kinda kept the game close manny times.

Also i would like to add that we should balance things out and work as a team. for ex: we need a certain amount of ppl to carry those scanning grenades and the other group to carry either flamable or frags(frags have a larger AOE ive noticed) that way we are a few steps ahead of the enemy makin it easier for that headshot ;-)

Another thing is that i personally have noticed that certain equipment cane even supstitute a level of a weapon. Ex: When i started i lvld assault to lv3 (epic) lol, but later on got kinda tired n wanted to slit sum throats. Since i no longer have assault skill equipped, wat i do is add that little handle (purchased wit about 750 DP's), wit this i noticed that it kinda equals to my assault being lv2 in a way, makin it easier for me to get a headshot at a longer distance.

I knw u guys might knw ur weapon good enough but im just letting u guys knw dat u dnt rlly need a skill at lv3 if u can add sumthin to the weapon to make it have less recoil.

lol well wit that said,i think we need to focus on communication, equipment distribution and strategies, to take our clan to the next lv.
We already have a lot of skilled ppl, ive had the chance to fight along and against them, so i knw sum of their strategies and how they work. And i must say that many times ive seen 1 of our clan members drag a team to victory. All we gotta do is impleent that into a strategy and team work n we'll rlly prove ourselves as a a even better clan than what we already are.

further more, it enhances the importance of teamwork/coordination and the SOP link. and rewards those who understand the magic of zoning.

for example, if I am taking a corner with a buddy behind me and we come across an enemy, I sure as hell am going to crouch to make sure my buddy can shoot over my head without moving clear of me. (2 guns are better than 1).

:wonder: Just going to toss this up since no one has mentioned it, we should consider turning the killcam off. I find the game is a lot more fun and challenging when you actually have to find out where the person is that killed you. IMO, having the killcam on takes away from the "Metal Gear, stealthy feel".

I'm sure this is already implied but Auto Aim shouldn't be allowed. :rofl: I only have one good eye and I can aim just fine without it. I don't see why the RPG-7 should be banned. I don't use it but I also haven't ever felt threaten by it. Since glitching has been mentioned, then the box dash shouldn't be allowed. Whoever said throws are cheep needs to walk in my shoes and be a CQC player. It's not as "cheap" or easy as you may think when everyone on the opposite team is using assault rifles.

As for what skills and weapons we use? My weapon set up is: SVD, Operator or G18C (with automatic turned off, I just use it for reload purposes) and smoke grenades (either normal or yellow).

My list of level 3 skills are Sniper, Monomania, Narc, CQC, Handgun & Runner but after using them all my favorite set up is Monomania Lv3, Narc Lv3 & CQC Lv2. I don't need the sniper lv3 to snipe good since it doesn't do much to help head shots, either you can or you can't. I don't use assault rifles, to me it feels like easy mode. CQC Lv2 is just as good as Lv3. CQC Lv2 is strong enough to always choke your opponent out and the only bonus from CQC Lv3 is that you can steal from them but you can always just steal with Lv2 after you've knocked them out.

Monomania is awesome, for those who use it you know why and Narc is great to have to. Things I like about Narc, if anyone from the opposite team aims at you, they glow for about 5 seconds and your whole team can see their location. I use it to draw out enemy locations, mainly M14 sniper scrubs that can shot good. It also allows you to see enemy lasers that are aiming at you so you can completely avoid most snipers that can't instantly shoot when you have it equipped. But it's also really good for catching people with CQC. You can let them aim at you, hide behind walls and watch which way they're going through the walls to find the best way of sneaking on them without them knowing... dood.

Actually about assault rifles, I do sometimes use them but mainly for goofing off. I get Yellow smoke grenades + the M60. Hit myself with a yellow smoke grenade then wail with the M60. :rofl: It makes your character yell like a chipmunk while he's shooting... dood!

I do tend to agree with Yeah Dood about the killcam. I actually always dislike this function in games, especially ones featuring stealth/snipers. I do like the fact that you can use the killcam to setup subsequent ambushes, as YOU know THEY know where you were when you killed them. In all honesty though it is rather silly. In game mechanics should dictate how you find someone in a match, not a camera angle after someone dies. Either way though I guess I won't really care if it's on or off.

Banning lock-on though? I'm not a fan of it, but there are entire skills and strategies that revolve around it. Not to mention how it helps make pistols much more effective. Plus what about the knife? Have you tried that shit w/o auto-aim? Zoinks.

Coppertown Conflict / City of Sorrow

is a crazy map it reminds me of an old cowboy movie with a showdown involved. The city has great sniping roof tops and wide streets for assault rifle fans who want to duke it out. Has some indoor passageways as well. The city is so dusty that it will interfere with head shots lol.

Tomb of Tubes / Underground Waterway

Yes you can drown and die in certain areas. A underground waterway its pretty sick and you can get lost easily. There are soo many narrow twists and turns that you are going to take a while to learn the map. I like the swimming animations on the solders especially when they are carrying a weapon. Nice water animations and sound effects too.

Virtuous Vista / South America Power Station

THIS IS THE EXACT POWER STATION FROM MGS4. AND I MEAN EXACT. U can use the gun turrets lmao. U guys already know what the power station is like so u know its sick. I think snipers will do well on this map.

All of these maps are huge and more complex, the strategies for these maps are going to be insane.

I got to use meryl and when u press the salute button she puts her hand on her waist like a waiting pose. Her quotes are rips from the game. I also noticed u can wake someone up with ONE TAP. I saw a jonny player press the triangle button and did his hilarious power rangers pose and says TADAA! :woot: At the end of the round he says he needs to go bad lol.

I created a female character and her codecs are funny. BTW I think females take more damage and can't handle gun recoil well. They maybe faster too. Then again I might be confused. Females including meryl look at girly mags and its funny because of the way they giggle. They're all lesbians I tell u! What most of you don't know is that u all have the expansion. It was included in the update. All paying for it does is unlocks it so u can use it. So ur question is, is the gene expansion worth it?

YES AND NO. It is worth it for fanatic MGOers. Or people who love the game. For casual players it's a rip off. I say get the 11 dollar one. Eventhough i created a girl I feel it wasn't worth it due to the fact that it's a new account and you have to re level up skills and u have a fresh record. And if I am right about girls being weaker and not handling recoil then it ain't worth it. So stick with the gene expansion alone.

yo the new maps are sick!! the V.V map is retarded big n a sniper paradise lmao (goin through mid is suicide!) n the sewers so far is one of my favorites and the one with the sandstorm lol makes it a bit difficult for headshots since the screen gets retarted dusty lol.

PS: i took sum piks but i dnt knw how to access them? in BFBC u go to the website n retrieve em but i dnt knw bout mgo, ill keep tryin n post a few for u guys =)
