Finally managed to get the Expansion, loved all the maps, especially the remake to Brown Town or whatever it was called in MGS3s. How do you use Meryl/Johny anyways? I see people once in a while using them but it's not often, I'd want to try them out.

When someone creates a game there is an option to have them automatically set to a character when they respawn or maybe they keep them the whole mach? I'm not sure.

You can't Auto-aim lock onto people while they're on the ground anymore? Also usually a CQC toss will result in a loss of at least half life now because they will start firing at you wildly while they're on their back.

This coupled with the 3,000 DP M14 nerf is definitely hurting my playstyle.

I did manage to go 18-0 on Tomb of Tubes with the DSR-1. It's not too hard either, start out with the Mosin Nagant, farm some Drebin Points with that, and next life you might even be able to afford it. After that it's just a matter of watching the sides the opponent can flank you on, which I keep track of by looking at where my teammates are situated on the map.

My new character is named Konnenkova and she's been using the Shotgun. Saiga12 with Vring is 10,000 DP though. Fuck that, haha.

Yup, I purchased the Plus version(got me an extra character slot) and when I came back to the game I was able to make female characters, play all the new maps, use the new characters etc. I think everyone has all the data in their HDD already when they updated to 1.10, the purchase just "unlocks" the content.

Nope, random players are assigned either Meryl or Johny(one for each team) at the start of a round, replacing your character for that round.

Yeah, that new Lock On property is bugging me too. Now, if I even do manage to stun someone with my NERF knife, I can't even kill him with any speed (unless I go all the way down to crawl position and stab him, but that leaves me completely vulnerable).

What modes are Meryl and Akiba available in? I didn't find Meryl too helpful in TDM but I'd imagine she'd be great in modes that involve lots of stuns/sleeping. Akiba is hilarious and fun. The XM8 compact is pretty good but the 50 cal is great. Plus, he becomes a walking smoke bomb. :rofl:

Yeah, we had a couple of those in some of our games. How are you going to kill your own teammate? There WAS one dope instance where Yeah Dood CQC'ed one of my teammates and he tried holding him hostage while he shot at me, just pulled out the AK and shot Yeah Dood in the head. I was expecting to kill my teammate in the process because that's a tight hitbox you're fucking with.

I'm not sure if this is old to you guys, but you can boost your Trickster and Sixth Sense skills by planting a claymore and collecting it yourself to repeat the process.

Also, Narc no longer levels up when you connect with your team through SOP.

Pro-tip: when you knock down with the shotgun, don't shoot right away again or it will whiff. Happened to me 3 times yesterday. The problem is, there's a split second between when they're invincible on the floor to when they can shoot at your head. Suddenly I feel like I'm trying to do one-frame links.

This happens far too often with me, and every time it happens I make it a point of finding the guy that did it and chocking him and leaving him unconscious there just out of spite.

Why not just wait until the guy escapes though? I've never had a guy get away from my grips and then kill me in turn. Ever. Maybe I'll get shot, but not get killed. I don't mind help, but really, if you want to help, wait until I fuck up? Stun+headshot is more DPs for me so I'd rather be left alone.

Why not just wait until the guy escapes though? I've never had a guy get away from my grips and then kill me in turn. Ever. Maybe I'll get shot, but not get killed. If I see a teammate choking someone I usually stand there and cover them just in case any enemy players show up. The stun + head shot combo does gives a nice amount of Drebin Points. :xeye: Too bad all the weapons I use are dirt cheep (SVD, operator, g18c & smoke grenades).

But yeah, the only time someone can escape from my grip (CQC Lv2) is if I'm low on stamina. If you are low on stamina and they do escape, all you have to do is roll at them when your grip loosens and the roll will be enough to knock them out before they can turn around and attack. That's one reason why CQC Lv3 is a waste of a skill slot in my opinion.

BTW, that 1 on 1 we had at C.C. was fun. I'll probably make the room for learning the new maps sometime after 9pm since I got an eBay auction that ends then. :rofl: I went from level 6 to level 4 in about 2 hours trying to learn those pesky new maps... dood.

I was hosting a room the other day and noticed a player invisible I could only see his gun. Kinda like stealth camo. This was in the CC map. I asked him to leave and come back. He refused, so I tried 3 times to vote kick him cause it was cheap shit. He declined and they kicked ME out of MY own room lol. So I followed him to another room and raped him in M.M.

The next day a host of a room complained about the same thing, my team mate apparently could not be seen by him. He described the same stealth camo thing. But I could see my team mate. Thats when I realized that this glitch is some sort of glitch where only one or a few cannot see a certain person but others can. I noticed this glitch has appeared since the ver. 1.10 update. Fuck konami being sloppy again. Long story short no one has figured out yet that only a few can see or cannot I should say. It has created numerous fights online.

Yes, there is frame skipping, but mostly due to the lag. That usually happens to me. One time, I died and it didn't register UNTIL I respawned.

Theres a broken place in the new sandy level. At the bottom of the stairs where those boxes are... you can't throw grenades down there cause it will hit the ceiling and people put 5 magazines so if you try to shoot the magazines or go down there in a box they will shoot your brains out!!!!!!!! I died like 4 times trying to take them out.

I am now ranked 73 in TDM. I don't plan on going any higher. I'm gonna cut down alittle on MGO. Anyway I think Emblem is > then rank. For example I have a higher rank then people with the Fox Hound emblem. It does not mean I am better, if anything they are. From what I see in their records their win ratio is usually almost up the total amount of games they played.

Their kill ratio has usually a minimum of a 7000 kill difference then deaths. So it's damn hard to get that emblem. Well something I don't understand is I have 2000 more kills then deaths, and 80-90 percent of my kills is head shots. Somehow I lost my eagle lol:arazz: Anyway the new maps are good but I know this sounds odd to you but I like CC better than TT. I know I know ur gonna say WTF, but damn TT is depressing.

Both DP mode and reg. mode work if it was not switched off. The item is available during BASE type games. In DP mode you can buy if at any time for 5000 if someone already hasn't. In reg. mode you can get it once every 2 mins or something like that..

Kind of funny at first, but after a while it got annoying, but it seemed like the person was doing it at will.

I'm thinking of deleting my current character and remaking a new one once I buy the expansion. Make one female and one male, of course. But with the new character, I can get better stats than I do now, haha ;o

Guess I'm not the only one who witnessed the stealth camo like glitch in TDM. I asked about it during the game but nobody seemed to know anything about it. There was no argument about whether the person was cheating and I doubt the person had the capability to do it. I thought it was a new item you could pick up on the new stages but I never saw that glitch again after that.

Konami didn't plan the expansion pack properly and probably didn't anticipate how hard their servers were going to get hit. I'm still waiting for survival mode and the reward shop to be released. At least I know I'll be playing this game that much longer once we get access to more content.

I'm hoping that the next expansion will have cyber raiden as a playable character but with game mechanics that is unique to him. I don't want him to be another skin to use because that wouldn't be cool at all. Of course he would have to use his sword but I don't want the clunky sword mechanics they used in MGS2. I would rather see them tweak the gameplay mechanics of the Cyber Ninja in MGS Intergal.

I've only had that happen to me once and I was wondering wtf happened. It's a game breaker for sure because I think our entire team got wiped out because of it but then you just respawn and keep going. :p Hmm...I should try buying that the next time I play.

Meryl's NARC skill is so valuable in Team Sneak mode when you are on the hunting side. I was playing in the underground sewer stage and my team had killed everyone but one person. We just couldn't find this one person but we had a general idea that he was camping around the kerotan so the entire team covered the area. This was a bad idea since he was able to tranq several of our teammates in a matter of seconds and everyone started to panic. They just randomly shot at dark areas to draw him out, which only resulted in them getting tranq'd. Then he decided to target Meryl and the second he did that his position was completely compromised and the next scene was one of the funniest things I've seen in MGO. The reamining team members (myself included) just stopped in their tracks and immediately turned around targetting the lone guy. The amount of bullets we emptied into that guy was priceless. Poor guy didn't stand a chance at that point. :rofl:

I just wish people on the sneaking side would learn some patience. You have a nice obscure hiding spot and you're ready to make your move when you notice that 2-3 guys are about to pass you by so you're lying perfectly still and then all of a sudden one of your teammates get spotted and your position is compromised. There's absolutely no recovery from that and you can only watch as you get gang raped by 3 people. :(

So any chance of someone creating a second SRK clan since the 1st one is full? I'd love to get in on some of the games you guys are holding.

Team Sneak mode is so much fun in VV and that underground sewer stage. So many people neglect to check the shadows of the rocks in VV. It's hilarious to hug the shadow of the largest rock in VV and watch 6 people just walk by you. Of course, if one of your asshat teammates gets spotted you can count on getting shot to hell if they are nearby. However, I did manage to evade detection on multiple occasions by sneaking around the rock whenever someone was rushing the area. I don't understand why people insist on manning the turret guns near the house. 30 seconds later you'll see that person get sniped in TDM or tranq'd in Team Sneak.

To be honest, the main reason I was rarely on was because I was trying so hard to beat Persona 3 on Hard without grinding and died a lot, lol. :sweat:

I recently beat it, and all the spare time I put into Persona 3 I'm now putting into MGO. So with that said, I should be a lot more active on MGO than before.

I want to get better, and with the shotgun!!!! =D

Anyways, damn, I was all over the place tonight. At times I was doing extremely good and at others I felt like I had been hit over the head with the scrub stick. I just got Assault Rifle+ to level 3 and I'm debating if it's really worth using up 3 slots with just one skill, I might just leave it at level 2 and have CQC+ and Quaterback/Sixth Sense/whatever I feel like at the time.

About CQC+, I need to find a way to get this shit to level 2 already, but it's taking too damn long, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Ugh...The stun knife got nerfed in the new update. I threw a guy down with CQC and was on top of them and tried to pull the stun but it whiffed completely. Good thing he didn't shoot me down and I got another chance to throw him down and I just knifed him for the kill.

Played a lot of Rescue Missions last night and I should be equipping Sixth Sense and Trickster more often for those missions. Probably would have levelled them up that night with the amount of traps being played that night. :looney:

The game has a steep learning curve because its very different compared to most other shooters. You need to use teamwork, be sneaky, and stratigize in order to get your kills. Running in with guns blazing will get you no where. You can start in the beginner rooms and start learning hiding places and getting the jist of the game. You will eventually get better and when you do you'll be having a blast. The game is very addicting.

The majority of the time that I play the teams I'm on will have a bunch of people trying to be all-stars and try to rake in the kills and ignore teamwork. It gets to the point where everyone is just running and gunning their way through. That or the few times there is some teamwork everyone gets in each others way. Ugh...the amount of times that a teammate has worked into my line of fire is stupid.

I don't know if I can justify spending $5 on the codec pack. I think it's pretty retarded how Konami is charging money for extra things like that when that should really be free to everyone.

The headset isn't necessary but if you have a good one and you're not spamming the channel then it's pretty handy in communicating with your team. I don't have a headset but competent with a headset give off good information to the team regarding enemy locations. This is particularly helpful during Team Sneak and Rescue Missions or even Sneaking mode.

Yeah lol what an amazing game experience. MGO is much better especially with survival.

Yeah we actually did well and we didn't even use head sets lol. Come play us anytime.

Here is the list for items in the reward shop. It's down but gamefaqs users snagged the list before it went down.

1500 for Camo Tactical Jackets (various camo types)

10000 for an all Red longsleeve/ Tshirt

1500 for Camo Pants (various camo types)

Played some games with Pozer and those were fun times. God, I was so choked when our team lost that capture mission when we had 1 second on the clock. I still can't believe we lost that one and I remember dying when I got the counter to 1 second. If only I had backup at that time. :sad:

Yeah, after the weekend I'm gonna come back and start a new character and have the expansion at my hands.

Thinking about it, wondering if its really worth having Assault Rifle lvl 2 equipped.
I feel as tho anything that takes 2 slot isn't much worth it.

Perty much I'm running:
Runner 1
Quarter Back 2
Hawk Eye 2
Assault Rifle 1


And as good as the shotgun is, I think it's best to go with the rifles for now (seeing how bad shotguns are at far distances).

Once I hit at least lvl 2 with my new character, I want in on some clan wars ;o

So, 3 BE VIP members destroyed the Vista map with ease. I forget if KidZero was in that game, but we raped hard. EVERYONE wanted to be a sniper..........and failed. Also, NeoGAF clan sucks. One of them was on the Vista map and, well, sucked.

Solidfox, Sniperwolf, Trupatriot, KomboKaze, Vegetto, and DeisExInferni good games, even though yall locked me out. I had no choice but to be a lone wolf and then a exile with Storm Eagle. Every team I was on there was nothing but all-stars and we kept ending up playing mostly Capture and team sneaking which most didn't know how to play. yeah we should get 2 rooms going.

well last nights survival group kinda shifted a few times n ppl were able to get in as other members left,then the team that u see in the piks was the one that stayed longest. But yea we should run more rooms n unite the clans n mix it up i dnt have any probs.

lol my favorite match last night was against that other clan i cant remember their name lol they stayed in their base hopeing for a bumb rush so we were cautious at first...then wen we saw that they werent that good (despite of having 2 members with hound emb. and 1 with foxhound emb.) i thot were were in for a tough one lol
turns out they werent that good n they got the bumb rush lmao n we ended up winning wit a rlly good advantage.

we lost only 2 games out of about 10 or 12 games. so not bad. i still remember wen we reached that 5-0 hehe that was TEH EPICNESS!! did we set a record? cuz i wasnt payin much attention lmao i was typin most of the time =P

n ima get online rite now n put in sum survival games to see if i can make a few more reward points cuz i alrdy knw wat ima buy lol ill post a pik in a few

The problem is for survival the game only allows 6 players per team. I think it is to prevent lag issues. So I think we should have 2 SRK GET VIP teams so everyone has a chance to rep SRK. BTW Vegetto are u game for tonight? You were a great host, I suck as host. Let us know,I'm down for tonight.
