Christ, wtf happened after I left?

I mean sure we were doing bad but to be frank we don't play as a team that often so when we joined up for survival you can't expect a team dynamic right away. Of course, we didn't coordinate well with each other but I think that was to be expected. There's no need to quit the SRK clan over a bad day in Survival and some argument that you'll probably forget the next day.
I quit not because we did bad but I killed my own team members. It proves I ain't a team player. So why be apart of the clan? Deis is right I fucked up. It's cool tho I am still down for survival tommorow. But if deis doesn't want me there thats fine too I will randomly join some other game in progress. I made my own clan. It's called OAG, and my emblem says I suck. So I SUCK clan is down for survival tommorow.

I'm doing pretty damn good with the shotgun lately. I can compensate for my bad headshot aim with assault rifles with the shotgun and box dash. Does the Saiga cause knock down or is that specific to the M870. I think I might use shotgun for a bit longer to rake in Drebin points then shift to a more powerful assault rifle but definitely won't be using the shotgun in V.V.

Retract my shotgun statement. Definitely too use to using AR's when switching to shotgun's. Something about coming out of the box for a second shot with the shotgun doesn't seem to jive well. It doesn't shoot as fast as I would like it too so I'm switching back to AR's. :rofl: I'm always in a love-hate relationship with the shotgun.

When you saw that you got eagle you went on for 2 matches saying FUCK SRK FUCK SRK over and over, and when I said to stop, you still did it. If you leave your MIC on with a high voice recognition level then it will pick up everything including the BGM's and it becomes annoying noise. If you set it to level 3 then it'll only pick it up when you start speaking so you can leave the MIC on during the match but we won't get the static and noise.

GG's to SNNAAKKEE (I can never remember how many of each letter you use) and J-Nav last night. Granted, I didn't play a whole lot with you guys but it was fun nonetheless.

I was playing Base in Blood Bath with J-Nav and our team was doing pretty good. I remember how I was taking over a base in that underground passage with some other guy and as soon as we took it over I went ahead to get to the upper floor and this guy just dropped down from nowhere and scared the shit out of me. I still managed to headshot him right away and the guy that was near me was like "Nnnniiiicceee" :rofl:

I got sick of the games running in the Rosemary Server and the Otacon Server was full so I hoped onto the Mei-Ling server for some random TDM in M.M. and I swear there was a lot of new people in the Mei-Ling server. I ended up with a 26 to 3 K/D in the first round and in the second round I was raking up some more kills until the host left and I lost all of those kills. I ended up raking in more kills until people started leaving and then it was me vs 4 other people and I was still in the lead for kills. Some random guy joined up and he was doing poorly and then SNAAKKEE showed up but it looked like he didn't stay for long but the additional back up was nice because the other team had a good sniper on their side. In any case I ended that round with 46 to 35 K/D and in combination with my previous round dramtically fixed my overall K/D ratio.

I owe most of my kills to Purrin as I was using the CQC/Knife shank combo a lot and it was working for me everytime. It also helped that I forgot to change my skills and ended up with Runner LVL 3 and AR+ LVL 1 equipped. I remember how one guy got the drop on me and was shooting from behind. I just ran out of ammo after killing one of his teammates and I hoped into the box to avoid his fire. He missed a lot of shots allowing me to switch to my knife while in the box. I popped out of the box and flanked him from the side as he was reloading his gun and kara threw his ass to the ground followed by the auto-lockon knife kill. Pretty priceless but I didn't lived long after that because one of his other teammates came in just I knifed him and finished me off shortly after. :shake:

I'm really debating on what skills to have now. I just love Runner level 3 but the reduced recoil and reload time with AR+ level 2+ is pretty valuable at times and then Box Move has saved my ass a lot. Spreading those skills though has only resulted in limited success. Guess it depends on the group and I hate how I can't change my skills in the middle of the game.

Hmmm...you might want to check accessory settings in the the PS3's XMB. I think there should be an option to manage your headset device though I'm not sure what option it is exactly. Also, try setting codec messages in gameplay options to USB/Bluetooth headset.

For those of you who have bluetooth headset issues after a match check to see if the device is connected in your XMB. I've ran into the issue a few times and everytime it's happened I checked the accessory settings then manage bluetooth accessories (at least I think that's what the option was called) and then it would list my registered bluetooth devices. If you press triangle on the device it'll give you options to connect/disconnect, delete, etc... What usually happens is that the device is disconnected and I have to reconnect the device. After having my PS3 reconnect with my headset the issue would be resolved. Also, depending on your preferences you may need to change your gameplay options to receive codec messages from your headset again.

Here's a question relating to that: I used to have it set to 4, and my name would ALWAYS be lit, meaning that it's picking up a lot of things that aren't talking, which is bad. Even at 2 it seems to stay on for terribly long, even after I stop talking. Will setting it to 1 have any effect whatsoever in how clearly people can hear me? Or does ith ave effect at all on things like volume?

when you grab someone, press x to get on 1 knee while holding them, then tap down on the left joystick and R1 simultaneously.

Hmmm...I think there are some options to adjust in the XMB for headsets but I'm not entirely sure. Otherwise, try adjusting all of the headset settings in gameplay options. Also, turn the BGM volume of the game to a lower level so that it doesn't pick that up as well. Though I don't see why that would be affecting you. It could just be your headset.

Keep in mind that you need CQC+ equipped in order to do the advance CQC grabs. Without CQC+ all you will do is throw them on the ground with CQC+ if you hold down the CQC button you will grab and choke the player. You can then do a variety of moves from this.

Good Games to Tealman, Canto, Ugly Joe, and Storm Hawke.

I don't know who Tealman is on this forum but he was part of the SRK clan and I played a few rounds with him. He was damn good and topped for a few rounds with me right behind him. We be representing SRK! :rofl:

Ended up playing with Ugly Joe and Storm Hawke for some Base and Capture missions. Our team was doing horrible in base because no one was taking over bases except for SRK. Storm you are getting better with the shotgun technique and are way better with it then I am. I was so glad that you had my back that round because I ran out of ammo on so many different encounters and I thought I was dead but then you came from behind and shotgun'd them down. Ugly Joe had a bad habit of getting stuck on the other team. :shake:

Ended up playing some TDM right afterwards and I was killing like a champ. Ended up with 60 somewhat kills vs 20 something deaths. I had like 300,000+ DP and I had no idea what to do with it all. I kept using the XMB since that was working out for me but at what point I was contemplating giving out free weapons to our teammates but some of them had this habit of team killing each other so I refrained from doing so. The next round I ended up on a huge killing spree with spawn camping and I wanted to see how long I lasted and sure enough I had to run out of ammo before someone was able to kill me. I found some hilarious spots in M.M for hiding in a box. I took a lot of people by surprise with my box hiding especially near their spawn spots. I got too repetitive and eventually one of them wised up and shot me with a DSR-1, which was a stupid 1 hit kill even though it wasn't a headshot.

Also, I always expect to die at any given place so props to you if you had a clear headshot on me. :)

Today was my first time playing TDM (Head shots Only). I did pretty good. I should play this more often to get my k/d ratio where I want it to be. I think it's funny that you blow up if you don't get head shots lol. :lol:

Storm you are getting better with the shotgun technique and are way better with it then I am. I was so glad that you had my back that round because I ran out of ammo on so many different encounters and I thought I was dead but then you came from behind and shotgun'd them down. Also, I noticed that with all the disadvantages that the shotgun has(can't fight at long range, limited headshot capability, slow firing rate), the box trick makes the shotgun have superior reload time. If you run out of slugs and just need one to finish the job, you can just load one shot and then box cancel it. I caught so many people last night in the middle of the ARs/SMGs reload times because I estimated when their bullets would run out and then I'd pop their ass!:rofl:

...All this DP talk reminds me that I have nothing to spend my DP on. Saiga's are too expensive and don't seem that much better than the M780(plus if I die that's 8000dp down the drain); slugs don't seem to add any range and any extra damage doesn't mean much since 2 shots at close range=death no matter the round/gun; and V Rounds aren't great unless you sneak up on someone with a group so they can steal the weapons. Maybe I can stock up on grenades...I love those things lol.

I think the Shotgun is only good if you know where to hide and bide your time for the kill. If you rush into the enemy and they have an AR and are at a good distance away you have to be smart and find cover because you can't rush in against them and your position has been blown. Even then I think it's pretty hard to top with the shotgun because of the limited headshot capabilities, the reload time, and close proximity of your kills. Especially if you are near the enemies spawn point. Can't just pop around the corner and pop them in the head and then pop the next guy in the head.

M4 with silencer and XMB are my best weapons but I haven't really experimented with the machine gun. Not having to reload is nice but I don't know how accurate the weapon is and what it's drawbacks are besides being noisy as fuck and having your character scream like an idiot.

I love putting people to sleep. I've been using the silencer handgun a lot and I always get unsuspecting snipers with it and it makes me tingle inside. I also really like being a trapster! I've got the hang of where to put the traps on M.M. and U.U. but I still need more time for the other levels.. V.V. is def. a bitch and I'll be using quarterback for that level. I don't like V.V.!!!!!!!!!!

I can't handle V.V. at all because it's such a huge sniping stage and you can't expect someone to pick up a sniper rifle and try to out snipe someone who always uses that weapon. Rushing towards them just results in headshots so it's a matter of who has the patience to sit and wait for the other team to make the first move.

I like your placement of sleep mines in M.M. but you run the risk of your own teammates running into them. Also, I notice you put one at the base of the big window that everyone rolls through. I rolled through that window once only to realize at the last minute that you put a sleep mine their but it didn't go off. Perhaps you need to adjust the placement to where the person will most likely land in their roll.

I don't know if this is lag or poor netcode but I have a hell of a time predicting where someone will land when they get hit by a grenade. Like I see them fall but I don't shoot right away because I recall that they have a few frames of invicibilty before any shots register so I usually wait a second or two before firing. However, when I start firing at the body the next thing I know the person landed somewhere entirely different then what was shown. It's quite irritating as that shit can cost you. I know I've died once or twice because I'm shooting at thin air because the person's body ended up flying somewhere different. Of course, that's save my ass once or twice but still...stupid stuff like that needs to be fixed.

Most people won't suspect the box. I've had people come up my designated rooftop for sniping and got caught with CQC chokehold xx headshot. It's pretty useful. Also, the box gives off no footsteps when you boxdash. The box is very useful in MGO, but I guess it all comes down to your style of play.

The box is single handedly one of the most abusable things in the game. It pretty much helps you in a wide variety of situations. Basic uses are:

-Puts out flames on your character
-Recharges stamina
-No foot step noise
-Faster to walk up/down stairs/hills in the box then manually walking down/up
-Obviously, a good surprise tactic if you know good box placement
-Kills the reload times on the Shotgun
-Throws off the aim of opponents - I've explained this before but basically switching to the box throws off people when they are aiming for your head since you suddenly drop to a lower level. It allows you to avoid gunfire since you are faster and you can pop out of the box and take aim at your enemy. So good for quick hide and pop tactics

Box saved my ass again today because I was shooting someone in T.T. in that TDM match we had and I noticed a red dot on the head of my character so I immediately switched to the box and heard the tranq dart hit the wall. :rofl: I'm sure my opponent wasn't expecting me to do that and he wasn't expecting me to turn around and pop him in the head for trying to tranq me.

I'm not that good at all because I have a bad habit of running and gunning and if it wasn't for the fact that Canto and I make a good two-man team I probably wouldn't do so well in the first place. That 2 on 2 we had going in V.V. was pretty fun.

On a side note I'm 66 kills from fixing my K/D and for some odd reason I'm at level 7 now. I honestly I don't know how this happened but I'm not complaining. I was pretty sure that I would never reach level 6 let alone 7.

I don't think any of us use keyboards but I can't vouche for everyone here. I use a MIC and I know there are several of us who use MICS but the majority of the other people don't really use their MIC unless we're in a survival match or we need heavy team co-ordination like Team Sneak. Even then that's a bit iffy.

I'm absolutely loving the auto-lock on knife kills and it's saving my ass a lot in surprise encounters. Not many people know how to deal with the situation bcs it becomes a 50/50 toss on whether you want to play dead to avoid the knife or start firing away in case they try to headshot you.

J-Nav has a pretty good grasp on how to deal with me when I'm trying to throw/knife him. :arazz: Your teammates in V.V. on the other hand didn't and I found a great hiding spot near the spawn point that's in the building. Off to the side of the building there's a dark area with a bunch of bushes to the side. If you go prone in the bushes then nobody can see you unless they are specifically looking for you. It was hilarious because I would hide in that area and a bunch of snipers would walk past me and start getting into sniping position. I would crawl out of my hiding spot CQC them from behind and then knife them. Got a little too predictable near the end and ended up getting gun'd down in my spot but that was to be expected. I didn't have many options at that point because I was completely out of ammo (AR, Handgun, and Grenades were empty) so I figured I could aim for a kill or two with the knife and I ended up getting 3-4 kills with it.

speaking of, I'm an avid box hider and I tend to check almost every box i run by. yesterday, some scrub lined himself up w/ 2 other existing boxes, as I was knocking the 2nd one down he pops outta the 3rd and gets headshot. Just to reiterate, don't make it obvious and you will get free kills.

Canto and I were on at the beginning but we couldn't find enough players so we split to find a team and then I ended up getting stuck on a different team. It was another poorly co-ordinated team and the guy who was hosting had a mic and kept confusing the different modes. I had to explain the difference between Rescue and Capture to him. We did a base mission with a team that only had 5 people who were a mix of different people and we lost the first round because they kept grouping together taking over 1 base at a time while the other team spread out. Then we got SOP Destab twice even though I told them to head back to base and not let the SOP Destab get planted. It was okay though since the next round I Destabbed the team and we took over all of their bases right afterwards and won the match.

Learned some new tactics from teams of foxhouds, eagles, and hounds.
One team did had a nice strategy for Rescue mission in Blood Bath. What they did is had 4 guys go to the higher level and throw E.Locaters around the area, which totally mapped out our team's positions and we just got picked off from there. Though I boxed it in the underground and survived the round but it didn't do us a whole lot of good.

In Rescue for C.C one team split into two groups. One took the underground path and the other took the direct route to our base. I think this was a pretty good plan but our team wasn't co-ordinated so when the second team came in it took us by surprise but we just beasted over them and won the match anyways.

No. You buy it in the main weapons section. It appears after a while in Base games if there are no drebin points. If drebin points are enabled, it's 5000 DP for a destab.

I have seen both in action and I played with B_R plenty of games and know that they are good. They make me look so weak too. Even though I am in the clan. But before I joined I would go to there TSNE games where they would do there 4 people against 8 or 10 people even sometimes and I would always lose. Then complain about my level dropping...

Anyways just join a B_R survival and hope you get in. Try to join B_R 2 survival because if you join the original they will Kick you because it is for the specially picked 6 members.

Headshot only is interesting....
It really forces people to be precise with their shots. I feel pretty safe in headshot only rooms bcs if you die and it wasn't a headshot it doesn't count towards your deaths so a lot of the time I would run in a box and let them kill me. I don't lose anything in the process and they just added another death to themselves.

My plan in V.V. was to just sneak in the top area and box it out let someone come near me then CQC throw them stun them with the knife then pop them in the head with my rifle. It worked well at first but then barely anybody started to come up the top area so I had to try other things and it cost me in the end. At the beginning J-Nav and I would hide around the corners of the top area and J-Nav would be like "We got company..." so I would pan my camera around to find the enemy and as soon as they ran around my corner I would pop out of my box throw them on the ground stun them with the knife and then pop them in the head. It was hilarious because J-Nav just watched the whole thing and commented with "Sweet..." :rofl:

I missed a lot of my throws because I misjudged the distance or I wasn't fast enough. I really needed runner level 3 for that stage but forgot to equip it and instead did AR+ LVL2 and Runner LVL2. There was some lag spikes in the game because I would go throw someone and saw that I had grabbed them but then a second later it showed that I was getting thrown, which was total BS since I saw that I was throwing them first.

So yesterday Canto & I couldn't get into Survival because it was full, so we ended up making a room & "trained." I found out that you can throw farther if you use any d-pad button without equipping the quarterback skill. I Told Canto bout it, but I guess it didn't work for him. My friend MEDUSA said you can also lift the controller (sixaxis) to raise your arm to throw farther as well. Haven't tried that yet...

Joined a random team on Friday and we ended up winning 25 games in a row...so we reformed Saturday and Sunday for 25+ wins a row each night! We were able to beat Dirty Dog Crew twice Sunday night, and those guys are super rape machines. Greatest team I've ever been on, and it was a randomly formed team at that, lol.

It's sad but you need a high level and/or rank to get on a good team. Once you get that, you're pretty golden for survival if you're going for reward points.

Yeah, the ones we played weren't really jerks or anything, they were pretty chill and said GG etc...one complained about one of our members lagging, but said it was fixed the 2nd game so it was cool. They were all FoxHounds, but one if my mates said they were "2nd String" DDC so /shrug. Pretty intense matches, and both were on Ambush Alley with the Base game mode.

Had a nice round of Sneaking yesterday. Ended up playing as Snake and got 2 dogtags within the first 10 minutes of the round. Waited for the longest time to get the last dog tag but it was worth it. :)

They really need to rework Sanke's spawning. The 2nd round was retarded because I ended up spawning in the most ridiculous positions and usually ended up getting killed right away because some guy would be right behind me when I spawned.

A friend & I were playing the other day & he was shooting me with the tranq gun while I was placing magazines everywhere. My stamina was really low, so I just started looking @ the mag in first person. Of course my character got excited, & I noticed my stamina increased by a lot really fast lol. It stopped, so I turned the page to see it increase some more. He kept shooting @ me till I was low again, so I turned the page once more to increase it. Again he kept shooting me, was low on stamina, turned the page, but it wouldn't increase anymore because it went back to the first page & I guess it didn't excite him anymore lol. So you get three chances to increase you stamina quickly by going into first person view to look @ some sexy ladies. :lol:
It's way faster than hiding in a box to raise your stamina.

on another note. A few days ago I got some guy kicked because he was doing some lagging and Shotty crap and locking on everyone. When the host said for him to switch weapons he gave the excuse and I quote, "I don't like automatic weapons. They all suck balls like the people who are trying to use them on me for headshots."

It has a proper drawback in that you can't get a headshot with it and you have to be close to your opponent to get it's proper effect. I was not really to concerned about the shot gun because I usually roll away or get some lucky accidental head shot on people with shotguns. The lag was why I was going to first kick him but that answer he gave to the host was like THE stupidest answer ever.

I couldn't believe that one room we were in where everyone had red pings. The lag in that room was just horrendous and I was pretty happy when someone else became the host. Those people in that one clan always had red pings unless one of them was hosting but then everyone else had red pings.

Few things.

1. People are always leaning around corners real quick without leaning against walls and taking shots. Yeah Dood wins every long distance shoot out with me because he hides behind a wall, lines up the shot a couple times while he pops out, and since I always think I have the headshot lined up, i stand in one place and wait for him to pop out. He always pops out SOOO fast, snipes me in the face, and ducks back. I never tag him. I see lots of people do that lean out but he does it most effectively against me. I will accept the answer from anyone. Just need to know what buttons to hit.

2. What are you guys talking about selling guns to each other? I am so completely lost on that.

3. Chill out fellas, its just a videogame clan. J-Nav is sick, Deis is sick, and Dood is sick too. I wish I was as good as any of you guys haha. I wouldn't have a clue who to put my money on between the three of you. Chill out, because playing with SRK is a thousand times more fun than playing with randoms, and I would hate for the really good players to stop playing together haha. Who cares who accepts clan invites? There are only like ten of us that play anyway. Most of the names on the clan roster I've never seen active. And I check that clan roster constantly, heh.

Alright, well I just gotta say that I have every right to defend myself, just like you have the right to point out pessimistic things about me.

I'm just kinda getting a little pissed off because all the arguments usually start with someone being a complete dick to me and I'm just trying to defend myself. You can go back and read the posts if you don't believe me. Then I get almost no recognition. People constantly are posting GG GG GG GG to other people, but only once have I really got a compliment (by emptyjump) about my playing, despite the fact that in survival I'm topping out (ie top 3 places) in 80% of the games.
And now, I ask for leader permissions and you start going on about how I wouldn't make a good clan leader because I'm hotheaded? Completely unnecessary. Moreover, I play survival matches with SRK people all the time, and despite the fact that we lose a lot, I'm completely clam and have a lot of fun because we are still working really good together.
I'm getting sick of this shit.

Hey now. Never said you didn't have the right but I was just saying being in the arguments bends the real sight of whether people would want you as leader which it obviously has.
Another thing. I said GG to you two times in game. Once in just a game and again in survival when I played against you guys. I tried to go down the list of people who I remembered and I started with you because you have an easy SRK name to remember and your good player in my eyes but most of you here could probably top me. (I translate names from SRK to MGO so Deis/Canto. Very easy to remember. KidZero/J-Nav? Kinda easy. Arkayne. Yeah thats just easy but you all get the point.)
My opinion...:lame: you got the wrong idea from what I said or you completely did not read what I said and assumed the hell out of the first statement or something. To add on to this. If someone comes in here reading what is all said this will add on to the arguments.

1. FPS mode, left or right on dpad. Just get really close to the corner, pop out, aim quick, take a shot, get out of there. Don't try it again because it usually results in death and the enemy will be fixated on that location after you do it, giving you enough time to retreat/sneak around.
2. When you get loads of DP and have nothing to do with it, buy the guns and give them to other players (ie drop the gun next to them). I do this a lot with the ENVG(forgot its name). I usually grab it and take it to a good sniper.

Good games last night. I REALLY like playing base and capture matches because things always stay tense and action packed. Fun times.

As far as leader goes...who cares? Deis, J-Nav, and YeahDood are good players and I learned things from all of them(Shotgun bullshit, base tactics, broke CQC shit, etc) so its not a real question about who's better. It's really about communication: the team getting along and agreeing on shit. Let's all keep that in mind and try to avoid arguments like these.

I hate playing survival. My level always seems to drop after a short session of survival. I went from level 7 to 5 because of it but after playing a TDM survival with Jnav and Storm Eagle I got back to Level 6. Wish I could figure out how to get back to Level 7. I'm trying to find other modes to play in to raise my stats on that.
