The past 3 weeks I've only really been playing survival.. and have noticed a big impact on my game. Not only that, but people are getting better at this and the lag seems to be getting worse. I'm getting worse! I can't headshot as fast as I could before because I don't have that much time to play the game other than survival time on the weekends. I honestly don't think I'll ever get a hound emblem.

When the expansion comes out I'm going to get it with a character slot (hopefully they offer that again) and make a new character and see if I can start off better than I did with DeisEx.

You have to beat people that are higher level than you.

Stupid idea but yeah. Your level drops if you keep losing to people who are lower level than you.

Honestly I love the game I think its fun, but the glitching is unbearable. I thought I would come back to MGO but I am shocked I haven't. I've been going through the new game plus mode in Yakuza 2 trying to unlock everything. I'm almost done, so I guess it won't be long. I like little big planet a lot. It's a great game, but I don't think its for me. I've never had an interest with level builders or character creators. So I don't think I'm picking it up. I guess I'm probably going to jump back into MGO. Just to pass the time before Bionic Commando comes out. Once thats out, thats my multiplayer game.:nunchuck:

If I find the time I might join you guys next Saturday for survival. KomboKaze has talked to me about this numerous times. Ever since he got foxhound he feels he has no reason to keep playing. I also feel a void of not playing with my srk peeps. I can't make any promises but I think I'm 80% down for survival next saturday. Nah, MGO is still really fun when you have a cooperative and competent team. People get butt-hurt over shit all the time, I don't see how its different from any other game.

I'm still playing it and having fun with it all the time, but its true that the lag kills the fun a lot of the times. Plus it sucks when you go up against a glitching team. Our clan has beat 4 glitching teams so far but its still tough. Can't wait for the expansion!! :lovin:

Some TDM tips anyone? Damn, you're lucky you're on SRK, 'cause you ain't gettin' this anywhere else. This is inside, son! But, seriously, this guide might help you get better at Team Death Match (TDM). It might even help you out in the other modes as well. Why? It's because we family, brah! Now to get my grammar right. I'm going strictly for tips and fun with this post.

Not nearly as hardcore or experienced at this game to really give you the defining winning strategies that could make you among the elite of elite players, but I've observed some qualities that I and many elite players have that make us stand out. These examples could be completely oblivious or get kind of heady. You decide if they're useful or not. I'm welcoming critique.

Elite players have these qualities in which I'll illustrate as I go. They're:

- Fluid, always on the move, creating rather than waiting for the time to present itself
- Head-shot (HS) specialists, the most efficient way to kill
- Aggressors, they take the victory away from you
- Great at Defense--plain, crouched or box camping when practicable, getting behind cover, box or roll when getting shot in situations that they aren't ready for
- Great at Teamwork, know when to get they're teammates out of a jam as well as gang up on you like Rodney King

More complex qualities:

- Flexible and Opportunistic, counter-reacting to your reactions
- Controlled and Precise, very careful when making decisions that benefit them
- Unpredictable, sometimes extremely
- Schemers

Wrap your minds around the points above for a while and realize: elite players don't just want to win, it's more like they want to destroy you. They'll try pulling an equivalent of a Tactical Espionage/FPS Daigo on your ass every chance they get. There's no fooling.

Being on the move

Don't just be at one place forever; you know the old joke about the sitting duck. You're just setting yourself for easy headshots(HS). What will happen is that you'll die less because you're that much harder to target and head-shotting you will be even more difficult. Think progressively as in your putting yourself out of harms way and setting up offensive situations where you're perpendicular or best, behind the players you're shooting.

Eagle Emblem-holic

Make the extra effort to get your aiming circle (this is assuming you're in Over the Shoulder or OTS view) just right in order to make this happen. Since emptying a clip on someone isn't as helpful as in a game like CS, where shot registry isn't complete shit, be diligent in making kills efficiently as possible. This has to be most fundamental when competing against good corner campers or when you're corner camping. And do spray if it's necessary. Especially if it's the head, then do spray.

The Bold Get Everything; the Timid, Nothing

Be the aggressor. Don't let any advantages slip by. Do whatever it takes to win. Pressure-pressure-pressure and don't let up. Take their sniping grounds for your own. Camp their spawn waiting for easy HS. Set traps to unease their own rabbiting around. Bomb them to Bagdad and back with all sorts of grenades or straight-up Rambo it with an RPG. And who can forget the grenade launcher extension for the m4? Let them know who's in control. Spread fear and chaos. It gets into their psyches.

Boxing like De La Hoya? Not quite.

Defense isn't something you want to dwell on. It's about knowing when to be defensive that counts. The best time to get defensive is easy. You just got listen for whizzes going past your head at mach-speed and beyond. Good ways to not get hit and possibly killed:

- Boxing. It's either top or nigh top tier in MGO. The best magicians couldn't do this shit. It's arguably the most dependable way at consistently dodging HS. Do this around suspect corners if you think so. Running around feigning directions is encouraged as well as hilarious.
- Crouching. Head down from usual HS level. Go figure. Crouching around corners is a good way to surprise would-be attackers. CQC, huh? A real Big Boss.
- Rolling. I usually roll towards my attacker when I'm up close to momentarily stun him/her and getting my direction set up for a quick HS or auto-aim-adjustment shots. Rolling to the sides is best at mid to long ranges where it's harder for attackers' spray and pray to connect.
- Rolling into a crawl. This can turn the tables quickly if you plan to go offensive right after. It's hard enough, constantly aiming for a head. How about one that not only moves left and right, but strays into prone position? That's a pain.
- Grenading. A pack of foxhounds giving you hell? Don't let them. Throw some of these in their direction. Stun grenades work best at getting groups to scatter. Smoke grenades are good for quick cover as well as immobilization. You'll be able to tell by the coughs.
- Doing the above behind cover. Cover as in inanimate objects (walls, blocks, cars, etc). Learn to manipulate what can protect you from bullets, son.

Give It, Not Take It

When you're with team members, well, then look to gang-bang! While you or your teammates pummel the front, have someone go along and hit them from the back. Make it hurt. Travel in pairs if possible going into tight spaces as it discourages CQC attempts from the opposition. If a teammate is in trouble (e.g. getting choked) then don't hesitate to bail him out because he's got the same goal as you; team victory. Also, having skilled teammates is very reassuring. It gets fun when all there is for you and your team are stroll-by HS all day.

Chi and Cheng

Sometimes it pays off to avoid firefights and getting to the same place laterally. Go around if you have or feel the need to. Dynamic reactions! Change up from direct to less direct methods of dispatching the opposition. Make a habit of breaking your habits. Don't ever get comfortable in one spot because other elite players are ready to adjust to whatever you're doing and Get Silly all over it. Before even aiming your gun or pulling the trigger, you have to get yourself in positions or situations that will give you the most advantage. Manipulate cover when it's suits you. Run around until opportunities to HS arise. Work with teammates with the mindset to overwhelm and embarrass the other team. Think peregrine. Wait until the best times to attack--good times are when you know who you're going to destroy has little or zero chance to retaliate. Peek-a-boo bitch! And you have to commit to this constantly.

That's It, Now Commit!

Once you have the upper-hand tactically, then start shooting. Concentrate! All that running around would be for naught if you just half-ass your attempts at getting a better score. You have to want it! However, when you do get a frag, don't get arrogant or worse, passive, either. Think forward. Think about a good K/D ratio and keeping it that way. Think team victory. A consistent and level-headed offense is the way and trump to all else. Jab. Jab. Jab. But then don't hesitate to be like Mike Tyson! Discombobulate with power and speed!

I Can't Lock-On To This Mofo!

That's how you want your adversary to react. You know what mind-games are if you play fighting games. They expect you to attack, you retract. Retract? They get struck hard instead. Bait and rouse only to again maintain being defensive or the other way around; manipulate cover until you have the composure to pull off a decisive HS. Since this game isn't like a fighting game in that it's 3D, you can think outwards instead of side to side. In a realistic environment, the possibilities can dumbfound. Do whatever it takes, even if it means complete randomness, to gain the upper hand.

A Diabolical Genius

Make a habit of planning and committing where and when to attack. If there's lots of people in a fire-fight, go around or above it, for example. If one place is uninhabited, it's most likely there's action going on somewhere else. Find it then. Use shortcuts and/or get to higher ground. It's your craft. In that midst, don't be discouraged the least bit by unknowns. Think mobile turret. Just adjust, then commit 100%.

It's in your mind to succeed all the time. Deception? Yea, it's a game. Not such a big deal. The point is, is that you make it a discouraging atmosphere for the opposition. They want to get away from you. They're scared. Their aim becomes distracted by the thought of fire from different angles, like this emoticon: :confused:

Didn't play Survival on Friday or Saturday, but when I played yesterday we beasted and my clan missed me (or so they said). We played pretty good yesterday, got 2 5 win streaks and a couple 4 wins. We played against USA and dear Lord.. they are so fucking childish its not even funny. We beat them when we had 5 team members, but this time they had Onryu and MAX on their team (very very very good players) and they beat us. Honestly KomboKaze has joined C.E. Deis and SonicKun are in Recon Unit. Blazeu and Tru no longer play MGO. Shyde has asked me numerous times in the past but because I was with SRK I rejected. I decided to join now because I need the help getting better. My name has SRK in it because I will always rep SRK no matter what clan I am in.:wgrin:

Don't worry I got your back, I'll play with you guys when my team doesn't need me in survival. I am always up for games with u in casuals too. The SRK clan is kinda dead because it has only 6 active members. Maybe a little more. I honestly recommend all of you to join other clans if you want to win in survival. Kombo Kaze asked me to join C.E., they are amazing as well but I got a lot of respect for shyde and he asked me numerous times. Consider Recon Unit your allies. Our survival team is amazing.. we have tactics, we get along together, we know the ins and outs of everyone and most of all we have fun. So pretty much I gotta play with C when I play survival mode. You could still play with us if a member is missing and I would very much enjoy that. Maybe we could set up a survival night where you, solidfox, and I made a Recon Unit survival team and could beast again. That would be awesome. Just like old times solidfox :sad:

OMG Survival is harsh. I finally got the FoxHound emblem (LadyFox), & after 2 losses with DDC, I lost it & went to Hound. I joined another team (DDC disband) lost again & ended up with the eagle emblem. :mad:
I lost my FH in a RES match, so I joined a game for some RES & got 2nd place. I ended up getting Hound again. Looks like I gotta step it up in RES to get my FH again. Shouldn't be so hard. :sweat:

A lot of those guys that aren't SRK are people I've met playing MGO. All are pretty good too. If they weren't that great, I'd most likely kick them. Besides, there aren't many active members in the SRK clan to begin with...

I am starting to really hate this shit(never have until like last week). it lags even when I am typing. its all "choppy/sluggish" now. like the game runs a lot slower than before. also there are SHIT load of red ping players now. every room there are at least 2-3 random laggers.

I don't like FPS games, I'm not saying they are not good but they are not my cup of tea. I tried out resistance 1 and a couple of other fps demos on psn. That was the best survival I've had in a long time. Great team work all around and the mikes helped out a lot. I managed to get nearly 4000 points in that night alone. We first had deis on our team, it was pretty good and we won a few matches. When he left I think sonickun was around and he helped out quite a bit. After he left the team was me,J-Nav,Nero,Jac,JN1 and a new dude named Iceman. Who would have thought we would be a great team. We didn't win 5 matches in a row but we won 4 matches multiple times. Even the matches we lost were really close.

This GOES DOWN IN SURVIVAL HISTORY :amazed:, there was a team of glitchers who lost one of their glitch members because I shot him before he could glitch. They got so scared they ALL LEFT!!! :rofl:
Wow a free win in survival due to forfeit who would have ever thought. There was a team at the end who called us sluts, when we beat them in Capture I called em sluts back and they're like "you didn't do anything" which is funny cause I killed two of their members and I was 5th out of 16. :bluu: What complete losers, they should really get good. Came across a few glitchers too. Looks like they found a new way to glitch.
solidfox & leo were disconnected, leaving us with Jac, Medusa, Raik, & myself in a team. The other team consisted of fake FHs. (4vs6) We were in a base game in BB. I was shot from a mile away by a glitcher hiding underground. The kill cam showed him & a team make choking him. I rushed to kill them thinking that'd do the trick. It didn't. The person being choked still glitched while his dead body was on the ground. The other guy was getting bases I assume, since he wasn't there anymore. Rushing glitchers doesn't seem to work now. They found a way to counter the rush! :lame:
They could've @least played fair. I mean 4 against 6! We were kickin' their ass though, until they started glitching. :rofl:

So everybody's pretty much gone and I'm SRK leader now...and I'm in a peculiar situation. I would like to play survival more with a competent team when I can, but I'm not good enough to join any strong clans.

Plus I don't want to abandon SRK, but only maybe 10% of the team roster plays. We still have Dood, MEDUSA, Jac & Arkyane, and Nero is playing more, but that's not enough. I could try to recruit stronger people, but I don't really want to kick people out who just want to play casually.

It would be cool if we could bring VIP SRK back and have all the competitive players back who left(solidfox, Deis, J-Nav, etc) and the strong ones who are still here, but sadly that would probably never happen. We would be a pretty strong clan now if everyone stayed, but I'm sure everyone has their reasons.

For now, I'll stay in the team for a while and try to get better at the game, and then I'll see if I want to stick around or not. It just sucks that the SRK name is gonna eventually die.

Anyway, I should be practicing tonight sometime(probably capture).

Last night we played against a team of glitchers. 1 of them had a SN "Hollow_Tip". It was base, and one of our team members brought a DESTAB. As soon as that thing went off, 4 of them left the game all at once!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were laughing so hard.. lol. The other 2 left shortly afterwards.

Our team doesn't have problems with glitchers, except one team, "Who Shot You?" They still beat us with glitching.

So it was fun and challenging and the same time. Next week I may play with my clan on one of the squads. We'll see how it turns out.

SRK will never die, my user name is now solidfox-SRK. :tup: Also it is not worth me staying in the SRK clan when no one ever plays. More than 80% of the clan does not play at all. The dedicated players who do don't even make a full squad. And like I said all the top SRKers left. So I had no choice, but SRK will always be SRK. Thats one of the reasons I came back to MGO, knowing you CAN beat glitchers. The lag is still a problem but I feel when I get a cable modem next month it should improve quite a bit.

You'll get points after a couple of rounds for free. You can also get reward points by winning matches in the auto-matchmaking EX lobbies. They'll hook you up with 50 or 100 RP every time you win or get 1st or something. Can't remember.

We should have played more. I was on all day cause I didn't have anything better to do. I was going crazy all damn day too!! Usually having 4 o 5 deaths to 25-35 kills each round. Now I'm around 900 difference in my kills and deaths instead of a 700 difference :lovin:.

Oh yeah.. whats really weird is that I had Runner 2, AR 1 on all day! And I tried AR2 in a couple rounds and I think that I'm better when I use AR1 with Runner2! Weird huh? The recoil is horrible but I'm guessing the precision is decent, you'd think the precision in AR2 would be better? lol
I'm also using the 1 shot method. Just repeated 1 shots and only hold the trigger down when the enemy right in my face. That seems to be working. I just stand, aim real quick, and take 1 shot and it usually gets them.

The more I think about it, the more I feel that the frequent/hardcore SRK players should create a new sub clan. That way we can recruit people who play often without kicking anyone from the current clan off, build a good survival team, and still represent SRK. We still have a good bit of players(me, Leo, Kyored, Ark, Jac, MEDUSA, Dood, SNAAAKE, Nero, and 1 or 2 others) that we can build off of.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

Here's the thing, repping SRK is one thing, repping it badly is another. Say I stayed in SRK clan and lost every survival match it just would be sad. I am not saying SRK has no chance but like I said they're 5 active members in SRK. Thats nothing at all, a lot of the clans are stepping their game up. I respect your decision to go back to SRK but you don't have to be in the SRK clan to rep SRK 100%. I would have stayed in SRK if deis,kombo,tru,vegetto,sw and tru were still in it. Or at least if SRK had at least 12 continuously active members but thats not the case. I am not saying that the 5 members or even 6 can't win survival matches but other clans practice almost everyday and have clan meetings. They create strats and the most important thing is they all have mikes.

You can play survival for fun, I'm not saying you can't. But lets be real if you want to win you have to take the game somewhat seriously. Kinda like any fighting game. A team who does not fully have mikes or plays at least 3 days a week will not do well. Trust me though, I now realize why Kombo and Deis left for other clans. It's not that they don't like SRK, but whos in SRK? 5 members thats who, the rest of the 50+ members are ghost accounts that will never be touched. SRK is a great clan for casual SRKers who don't have time to play MGO a lot. If you wanna get serious though thats a problem. Anyway thats my two cents, if you have any views on my opinion feel free to voice them. Positive or negative it's all good.:wonder:

Nice job on your k/d ratio. I'm doing pretty good with mine too. Last night I was playing Base & I had 15 kills, 0 death & 8 bases captured. That was sweet! Then johnsen showed up. I had to step my game up. He was the only one who could take me out. He managed to get 1st in one match, but I took the number 1 spot back the next match & about 6 more matches after that lol.

I use AR 1, Runner 2, & Monomania 3 for pretty much all game modes. Works out pretty well for me. I sometimes switch them up during Survival.

Yeah good games last night. I've been trying to use AR's on and off for the last couple of weeks, and I have been improving slowly but surely. I'll actually use the training more and practice with some people.

Thanks bro, BTW Kombo said he's taking a break making some insane beats. I heard some of his mp3, he sent it to me on msn. He's gonna play causally, but he will get serious when the expansion hits. So until then you will rarely see him. Kombo had an interesting view on MGO. He said if you play too many laggy games, you start to develop lag tactics. That ruins your skill once you play a normal game. I think he's right, but what I do sometimes is I leave the room and look for a room with 2 green bars. Whats funny is the room won't stay green for long lol.

Anyway CE is beast, I'm going to play with my clan this weekend. Hopefully we can play CE and have a good match. Good luck to any other SRKers who are trying to get into other clans. I say Recon Unit,Covert Entity are the best. Other clans tend to glitch a lot and don't have much honor. Red berets are obviously a good clan but they have too much individual skill and not enough team work. If you can get into red berets, lemme know how beast Beowulf really is.

Survival was beast yesterday. I was with recon unit echo squad. We had some members disconnect so guess who was allowed in our squad? KOMBO KAZE!! Kombo Kaze is the beast I knew he was. He place no 1 most of the time. I was number 1 only twice. We only got a 5 win streak once cause of the glitchers and disconnects from other team members. Other than that it was really fun, it was great playing with KK in survival. Like old times! :lovin:

Anyway I think the servers are in bad shape. Good news is there are rumors that the meme expansion has fixes to many glitches as well as server update. Let's keep our fingers crossed. I like this game a lot and I don't want people to stop playing the game. So what I am going to do is send a message to KP and hope they listen. I noticed when Ryan Payton left konami the servers got worse. Could it be that RP was directly involved with server maintenance? Anyway I hope I perform better in survival tonight.

BTW resistance 2 beta is okay, it got boring real quick. I guess you need to like FPS to like resistance 2.

In the last couple of weeks, I've always entered a game in MGO and it always lagged.:shake: It was probably the server but most of it was cuz of my connection too. It was because I forwarded ports for MGO on my router. My friend suggested it but after I did that.....that is when my PS3 network was acting weird and lagging in MGO. I changed my network settings back to default and I've been doing pretty good last night in MGO. I'm back to lvl 7:woot:and hopefully be up to lvl 8 pretty soon. :wgrin: I'm down to play survival tonight....who else is gonna play tonight?:wonder:

I played survival last night with a new group. Noticed no SRK were online.
So I had some good games with someone by the name of "blackcrow". Pretty good dood. He took out a whole d*mn team of glitchers single handed!
They started the match and every person died off besides me and him. I attempted the kill but failed epically. He sat on the top of the high building and sniped off all 6 of them. It was a wow moment.
We made 3 wins in a row 2 times. and 2 in a row once.

Me and recon unit echo beasted last night. We had 2 five win streaks and a series of 4 win streaks. We did come across one glitch team but that was about it. We beat a covert entity team but we don't consider it a real team because they only got 4 members. So that wasn't really fair at all. Anyway your not going to see much SRK members in survival because they're aren't really any SRK clan members to begin with lol.

Just a note to SRK players, if I play u and I say "there is a glitcher on your team" listen to me and quit the match. I would never play with a glitcher and I would leave if any of you told me. If you continue to play a match with a glitcher know that the points you got from the match are phony and undeserving. Some people argue that they at least have to finish the match then kick the glitcher out but I 100% disagree. If you continue to play with a glitcher the moment you find out, then your a phony. DO NOT SUPPORT GLITCHERS, WE MUST SEND A MESSAGE TO THEM THAT WE DON'T TOLERATE IT.:mad:

People will most likely find new ways to glitch like that dead body glitch I told you guys about. I don't know where my clan went. I was playing with them for a bit, but they left. Some said they had to work. Others just left or got disconnected. MGO servers for you. :rolleyes:

Oh btw I saw a new glitch today but you guys already must've seen it. A dude was able to hide behind a wall with a window. Whats funny is you are not able to go behind the wall normally because it is the perimeter of the stage. Some how he glitched his way behind the wall so you can't see him. At first I could not understand why I kept getting killed, and not finding him. Thats when I decided to throw some e.locators. I was shocked to find out he was behind a wall which you couldn't normally have access to. The interesting thing is that he could not kill me from behind the wall. He had to peep out of one of those windows I
