Currently in the process of replacing the pcb for a SS twin stick to work on ps2, but have hit a snag.
Top buttons for dash on both sticks are not responding at all.
There a 3 wires for each stick, one ground wire, 2 button wires.
Problem is not in my soldering as I initially wired R1/L1(dash buttons in twin stick setup) to triggers, and have since reversed that with no issues.
I don't think power from the controller is an issue as everything else works fine.
Buttons themselves feel fine, not sticky/mushy etc.
A pic of my crappy wiring.

Edit - Aaaand the problem turned out to be incorrect wiring
