After seeing that Capcom gives him the METSU hadoken and in his ending it is saying that he tap into the SnH to destroy the core. Same for the anime where it seems that he is using it before Ken comes in.
:aybe Capcom is going to include E. Ryu as bonus character into the console versions. We know that Capcom USA is beyond E. Ryu in Alpha 3 and maybe they want to put him in to make the game more popular in USA.
They could connect the story to Ken and Gouken (if he is in the game) and explain why he is using it or tapping into it.
God hell Capcom couldn't you give him just the Denjin as ultra and you haven't to confuse the people.
