And im real tired of people trying to but ibuki in this game. Do you think they would seriously put a character like that in game that involves no parrying? They would have to change her completely. and if that was the case, they should just make a new character all together.

And Cammy was in an anime clip for the console version that they showed off. Why would they go through the effort of that if they didn't put the character in?

They're not just going to copy/paste Ibuki in the game. They would rework her to fit in. Ryu, Ken and Chun Li seem to be doing fine without parries.

Cammy is THE most logical choice in style, gender, geography and story.

-her style would fit well with the way the SF4 system works
-one more female to balance gender.
-her history with Dictator makes her easy to fit in without any style clash
-and there must be one character to represent the UK

Unless people want to play with the old cast from SF2 plus 4 measly new characters....I think they should just embrace the console version.

.....and it's pretty obvious that the arcade version wasn't going to be Capcom's money maker platform for this game anyways.

I'd agree with that though I think it had Sakura on it too, which given the monster thread on their forum would've made her a shoe in. Either way polls of that sort that have no real effect on anything aren't unheard of as a means to generate hype, compounded by the fact Dan and Fei Long appeared yet they were confirmed the day the poll even went up.

Really don't like it when a company pulls that tactic, or even seems to. :\

for her to have appeared in the cartoon she must have been concepted for quite some time. Making the late poll not-whistanding because she was already involved in the conception and making an animated cartoon takes time

I do not know if I kind of like that she will be in the game or if I simply do not care enough. I can say it did not piss me off, at least. Anyway, let's assume it is true that they added a character (i.e., Cammy) because it was placed first on a poll about characters to be added to a console version of SF4. I find the idea OK, but I believe such polls should be made in pairs. One should be the poll to check what character people think must be added. Another should be a poll asking what characters players want not to be in the game, that is, what characters people either dislike or find unnecessary. I say this because the ones I hear the most when people talk about SF, specially to newer fans, are Akuma and Sakura. But those are also the ones people seem to dislike the most.

I guess it would make more sense to post this in a Capcom forum, but I don't have enough spare time to check another fighting forum, and, for some reason, I prefer SRK.

Yeah I also think Cammy was supposed to be in the home versions regardless of the poll(s), afterall she's the most popular New Challenger and the only one to enter dream matches like MvC and CvS series.

It would be disrespectful to the story if they ressurrect Gouken. If they want to make him a playable character sure - but his only purpose in SFIV is to appear in a flashback scene to before he died.

I don't want SFIV to go down the path that Seth ressurrects dead fighters such as Bison and Gouken as his pawns.



Cammy's fine - I don't want her Shadowlaw costume to be her alternate costume since that part of her life is over with. Give her her Delta Red costume as her main and casual clothes as her secondary.
