SFIV Card Questions

I have looked through a couple pages and I did not see any thread that was about information on what you could do with the SFIV cards. I know TGA is getting SFIV and Andy told me that it would have card readers and cards available so I'm asking anyone that has used the cards what can you do with them?

I know that you put your name on them of course and it keeps track of your wins and loses but what does it do?

I think its how you get your alt. costume too. Can you buy more colors? Can I mix and match stuff? (like ken black gi pants and a white gi top)

If the system is anything like T5's international system, then there will be built in menus where you can buy and put on the different colors/costumes and check how much cash you have.

If they have the JPN boards, then you'll be SOL because you'll need a Japanese cellphone, and to date no one has been able to spoof their way into the JPN cellphone network because no one with enough skill has a reason to.

i live in japan, and have two of the cards.

They keep track of your win loss records, and allow you to create an account that you can use your japanese cel phone (as mentioned) to dial in and check on.

each card you have can all be tied to a master account, but each card is usable for only one character (i have a "ken" and "chun-li" card, you can see in my photo that i carved a little bit around ken so i can tell which card is which). as you play, you earn Zeni (money) that can be used to unlock anything from special outfits, different color variations of your outfit, ringtones, and other stuff.

the website (only accessible via cel phone in japan) allows you to check local rankings, national rankings, form guilds, and check your win loss ratios.

Aside from Zeni, you also earn BP (battle points, i imagine) that let you rank up from beginner to rookie to DD, DDD, CC, etc etc up to AAA+ (i think is top?).

considering that card was bought before i ever played the game, or played any variation of street fighter in probably over two years, and proceeded to go 9 wins for 11 matches, i didn't think it was too bad.

actually, i didn't really think about "how i would look on the internets" at all, i just took the picture. :confused:

just a joke man, i saw your win ratio. ofcourse your last match will more than likely be "lose" unless you beat the game.
