1$ ?? That's outrageous.
you do realize, that just getting one 2p sf4 setup costs an insane amount of money right? plus it's import. it cost's around 12k which is twice as much as importing tekken 6, iirc. that's pretty crazy. I'm sure prices will drop

It does cost 12k, 6k for each board.

I dunno if Trocadero will have it, you'll have to phone em up anyway. But there's one other in London I'm sure will have it- but I can't remember the exact address (only been there once). IIRC it's called Casino. I'll double check and post details here later.

Can anyone give me more info about the Toronto location? It says it opens around 3:30/4:00, is that pretty accurate? And about how late is it open, beyond "all night"?
It's ...kinda accurate. Last time I was there at around 3:30(2-3 days back), it wasn't open yet. Opened at like 3:50. But the week before that, it was open at 3:00. It literally depends on when the manager wakes up and opens it. He's never opened it later than 4:00 pm though I think. And when I say all night, it's literally til when the last few people leave. It's been open til 4:00 am before.

Was up people on SRK. So i've been planning to go to CHina Townfair the only thing is i don't know the directions to get to that street except there's a citibank and u turn and walk straight down. Also i have to take the subway to 14st but don't know what to do after that so if someone could who goes to the fair possibly give proper direction to get to the arcade would be great help

San Franciso State University now has SF4 in the Rack n Cue arcade. (located on the bottom floor of the Student Center)
75cents per play, two cabs (for versus) loaded into woodies with marquee & 16:9 720p displays. Happ parts. Localised (English).
Pretty sure they got it today or last night; didn't see it yesterday.

Go to Atlantic North Matchmaking section and look for the SF4 @ CF thread. Some of the regulars dropped a pretty extensive list for people coming from any direction.

I actually went up there yesterday. It was very nice, there was a guy who got 36 wins in a row with Zangief who was pretty cool. I loved the place, it had a very nice atmosphere. The drive back almost killed me, though.
P.S.: If the Zangief player sees this, I was the guy from the Michigan group that talked to you about Shoryuken.

42" 1080p LCD HDTVS, yeah.
The consoles and sound system that we'll have setup today (8-30) will be replaced later for a better setup.
SOrry about the delay on our setup, there was a whole problem with our console, so we had to ditch the project and start from scratch at 8PM.

How we have it set right now is if there's a huge crowd (like over 15 people) We'll have it set at a 5 win limit.
Right now overnight we set it at 20 win limit because there's only about 5 or 6 people. So if you want to get into real compitition you should play overnight.

the chances of it being on 2 credits is slim. its amazing that arcades even charge 1 or 2 credits still, with older games, with the current inflation rates. Granted, castles n coasters revenue is huge, so they can probably do 2, but to be honest, I don't think its likely. I think regular T5, when it was new, it was 3 credits, for a couple months. and that game was atleast half the price of sf4. I think once they start getting a return on the game, the prices will come down. But it's hard to say.
Right now, HD setups are in the air. I would like hd, as would anyone. But just having the game, period, is ok with me. I got to talk to them on cabinet solutions

LOL, why are people complaining about 50 cents for a $12,000 game when people have been paying $1 a game in Japan for years?
We want to be like them and copy them and use their sticks and setups and shun the US, but we want to pay 1984 US prices. Goodness.
And this is a general gripe about the people complaining about the price per pay, not towards anyone in particular, it just built up.

Truth man we pay $2 for a game in New Zealand and I don't think anyone here is complaining. It seems steep but if it keeps the arcade open and fresh full of new games I'm all for it.
For the people complaining about $1 for a credit how about you go pick up your balls, open an arcade, buy sf4 at $12,000 a setup and charge a quarter a game. Jeez so you will only need customers to put in 48,000 quaters before you start making profit(realistically it'd be a lot more with all the running costs and misc. expenses).

So far I can confirm they have 4 machines at 灣仔 Game Zone (141-147 Johnston Road, Wanchai) and later today I'm hoping to confirm they have machines at 銅鑼灣"力霸" (Causeway Bay Plaza 2).
If there's any English speaking players who fancy a game sometime let me know, I can't speak Cantonese so have no idea what anyone else is saying.

Sweet, thanks for the locations. I'm really hoping that SOMEWHERE in Florida gets it soon.
I added the US & Canada locations on here to ArcadeFly for now though. I'll try to keep them up to date and add those worldwide locations as soon as I can.

Can I take over the updating of the first post? Or like, start a new thread maybe? It's pretty weak that Sr. DaDesiCanadian can't keep up with like 3 posts a day.

I asked a Chinese friend living in Beijing to google it but he didn't have any luck finding it (although he admits he is not a gamer). To be honest I'd be hugely surprised if anywhere had it, if only because of the serious lack of arcades in Beijing. While I was living there I only ever found one decent arcade - it had Virtua Fighter 4 - and that closed down ages ago. You could always check the arcades off Wangfujing near the dodgy food street, they're the only ones of any decent size that I can remember, but they're pretty old and rubbish (and were probably knocked down for the Olympics).
