I figure since there are obviously hidden things in this game(i.e. akuma), that there will probably be more goodies as well. Might as well make a list of everything that is released and put it in one convenient spot. Some arcades still have not unlocked akuma cpu or playable due to not knowing the codes. So I figure, let's make a list.
Akuma (CPU): C5HSP3GN
Akuma (playable): CHNB9FGC
Gouken (CPU): CSPCU4W6

After you enter the code for Akuma either go to any char on the bottom row and press down or any char on the top row and press up. The cursor will disappear and Akuma will be the selected char.

Hopefully fei-long and dan are unlockable through codes as well. Maybe some other characters too.
There's only 2821109907456 different combinations, so we should be able to figure them all out within a few years.:looney:
Though we have a good internet connection at FFA, you can't set it up using American internet. Hopefully Capcom USA will fix that in the future. Same with the card system.

they wont fix that, its intentional. its a japanese game, with no intention of sale outside of the US. plus needing cell phone access to the japanese website and such is a must, afaik

Does the FFA SFIV have english quotes? Cause the version in CTF is in english. Ergo, it's meant for sale outside Japan. Does anyone know if the CTF SFIV can receive updates? Is there even an internet connection in CTF?

It's not meant for formal release and distribution outside Japan, therefore the importing of the game from either Capcom or a middle man. It's most likely in English because English is pretty much a universal language, and the fact that the game is expected for release on console. Having the game released in English will prevent the hassle of translating the game for US release on Console.
Back on topic, I'll try to have the Super Arcade owner input the codes accordingly to get Akum unlocked, not sure he is yet. Thanks, Sabre.

I'll test it out and let you guys know if it works or not, chances are not.
But hey, there's no reason to not try it, right?

It's not just English mode: It's AMERICAN mode. Claw is named Vega, Boxer is Balrog, etc. I guess Capcom's fine with it being exported?
And yeah FFA is in American mode.

then why would the game state "for use in japan, australia, china, korea, yadda yadda...." had a bunch of countries listed but not the US.

I PM'd Ultima the answer since SaBrE said that this wasn't the board to ask, but since you guys are continuing anyways I might as well answer it to the general public.
In the menu there is a language feature. When you select English it changes the names of the characters to their US versions. It also gives the English names for character's moves (i.e. Zangief mentions "Fireballs" and "Dragon Punches" in his win quote instead of "Hadokens" and Shoryukens").
Now, whether or not this means that the Japanese import of the game is the International version or not I can't say. But it does have a disclaimer at the beginning, which I didn't read.

Well, that doesn't prevent them from changing/supressing the text, ruining it like Capcom of America ALWAYS do....
SFZ3 for example, has 45 winning quotes for each character, the US version only has 8....
