How Will Secret Invasion End? POOL IS CLOSED!

So last year around this time we had a pool where everyone guessed who would be a outed as a Skrull in the Marvel Universe. Since no one, myself included can think of a better idea and hey this pool was actually successful then what the heck, how about another go at it? :looney:

The prizes so far are Pained Auron's two comics that have been signed by Judd (The Dudd) Winnick himself, like always a prize no one really wants. At least I hope not... Sorry Real World fans... :sweat:

Grog also has a prize he's willing too offer up too. He PMed me about it quite some time ago, I gotta check to see if I still have the PM.

(I am going to bug both of them once again for pictures of them and then I'll re-edit this post...)

So basically your guess has to be the closest to the events that occur at the end of Secret Invasion. Please be specific as possible. "The good guys win!" "The bad guys win!" "Nothing will be the same ever again!" are bad examples. On the other hand, an answer that goes, "The Skrulls will win and they will visit my mother's kitchen!" is perfectly acceptable! Not that you'll win of course. :rofl:

The last bomb that Marvel had dropped was about a Dark Avengers line. They are off the table because at this point everyone knows about them. Oh sure, they might be the ones to beat up the Skrulls but at this point picking them out is too easy. Choose another event that happens in the last issue please! :sweat:

In case no one guesses right or is even remotely close, we'll try to come up with something. If there are ties and a couple of people are close, there's three prizes on the table and we can work something out. If everyone is wrong then maybe we can vote for the funniest answer or something? Eh I dunno, gonna have to play this by ear. :looney:

There are a few people out there with inside information. I know as of this typing the identity of "HE," you know, the guy who 'loves you' has already slipped, but I myself have avoided spoilers so I haven't read of it. If you're answer is "too perfect" well it's going to raise an eyebrow and you'll in effect be ruining the story for everybody. Remember, these are crappy comics that NOBODY wants. So please, play fair or just jot down something silly. :wonder:

The deadline is September 30th so you have the rest of the month.

Sano: Shuma-Gorath is behind the entire thing! When the Avengers were hiding out in that fake Starbucks Doctor Strange had everyone use the name "Shuma-Gorath" as a password to get in! You see unlike Joe Quesada, Bendis actually knows who Shuma-Gorath is! (Yeah for real, Joe Quesada doesn't know who Shuma-Gorath is, I asked him at the NY Comic Con in February). Bendis has been building this up since he was five years old, really! Come'on man, Skrulls are green, Shuma-Gorath is green and of course "He loves you!" He wants to have everyone offered up to him as sacrifices! Everyone is wrong I tell you! :P

It will include Reed Richards reversing their shapeshifting abilities with one of those generic Star Trek type "I'll reverse the polarity on the quantum synchornizionitizer and cross the feedback into the spectrum field emitter!" solutions, which will reveal/weaken all the invading Skrulls on Earth, leading to a comic book montage of fifteen consecutive splash pages of guys beating up Skrulls in various locales (like in the last issue, "Wakanda, New York, Israel, Latveria, Asgard, etc."). Yawn!

Iron Man will survive and have a speech at the end, praising the value of the human spirit and the strength of hope or some bullshit, and the word balloons will cumulatively take up at least 1.25 pages.

Logically relevant and powerful superheroes like Dr. Strange, Hulk, Thor, or Silver Surfer - you know, the ones with enough power to actually make a difference - will remain in obscurity throughout this story in favour of focusing on more "relatable" characters like Clint Barton and Luke Cage.

The Sentry will still remain as the absolutely most fucking useless and uninteresting comic book character ever created.

The ending will involve a scene where the Skrulls are eventually defeated, but appeal for some sort of compromise or mercy, and the good guys pause to consider it...until Nick Fury walks in and goes "FUCK 'EM" and is reinstated as the head of SHIELD.

Oh yeah I can see that happening since Bendis needs villains for his Dark Avengers team. Thunderbolts has a lot of the the top tier Marvel ones and Bendis is mostly playing around with Hood and a lot of B list bad guys, Wrecking Crew heads and so on. Some characters are off the table or would look hella dumb IMHO being part of an evil Avengers team like Red Skull and Doom. Well I hope Bendis dips into the Marvel well to pull out some good Marvel villains. Maybe 1 or 2 new characters wouldn't hurt either.

I still want to hold an election for this forum's favorite comic book characters in November to coincide with the Presidential one. No prizes for the election, just for kicks. LOL IDW came out with some comics based on Obama and McCain, if for whatever reason you are not able to vote for them in the election than feel free to vote for them in our poll! :rofl:

Well I thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiink I pulled the very first issue of Ash that I got signed by Joe Quesada and the writer from the last time I put all of my comics away and I have it nearby. It's JQ's first creator owned book. If I didn't pull it to the side then I'll just have to search for it again. I can always offer that up as a back up. Good prize? Yes in that it may be worth money some day, possibly from a collector or hey you may be able to net a pretty penny for it now, maybe...
