God-damn I thought the co-op campaign was impossibly hard...til I figured out you need *at least* one medic on the team. I hope you can pick up other weapons in co-op (think I seen it done on youtube beta vid). So far I haven't come across any and haven't seen any of my teammates using anything than their reg weapons...maybe we're all just noobs.

Pretty fun. I liked the first one for the single-player campaign well enough. That, in addition to the online comp/co-op pretty much sold me.

The multiplayer is really fun. Haven't tried the single player yet.

I got a code today and I've been playing nonstop thus far. Needless to say, R2's gameplay tries to be like CoD4 in nearly every possible way while retaining it's own theme and level style. That's not a bad thing at all, I love the new aiming system and how you have one main weapon and a side arm, while being able to swap weapons while holding square, much like CoD4. You even get special abilities depending on your kill streak.

I haven't played co-op mode yet and I've only played two multiplayer stages and they are fucking enormous (I guess they ought to be with potentially 60 players being online at once.)

I'll be playing the hell out of this one before it expires.

Just got the beta Thursday night and played a little bit of the co-op and I have to say that I really liked it. I only managed to get in a good half-hour but I was enjoying every minute of it. I picked the Medic and I like how every class has a specific job to fulfill.

I'll try to get on it again tomorrow so you guys add me to your friends list so we can get some real teamwork done.

Anyone down for some co-op (scrubby medic) or even team deathmatch (even scrubbier). Not many people in co-op know the new maps/spawn points yet so we're all getting owned like when the beta first went live :lol:.

wtf at the trophy "killing machine." it's the same thing as Gears' "seriously" acheivement, but with a less funny name...and it's only worth gold? are platinums only awarded for acquiring all other trophies within a game? now I believe Insomniac when they said it'd take hundreds of hours to complete everything.

EDIT: oh yeah and fuck those Furies. Insomniac better give me retribution and let me kill one of those fuckers at some point...

For those of you who bought the game and was in the beta too, can you confirm if the graphics are better in the retail version? I swear, the fire, Chimera models and overall look seemed held back to make sure the file size wasn't too big for the beta.

I gotta get this game real soon, I was really starting to like co-op mode and skirmish. Sniping in the competitive games seemed a lot funner and easier with the new control scheme and the new sniper gun is cool, too, but not as powerful as the Fareye.

Didn't play the beta but I had a few friends who did and they agree that the graphics in multiplayer look more polished and a lot better than the Beta.

I just beat it on Difficult, and unlocked those. What does arcade mode do?
