lets say ryu does a fierce punch and i use the SA to aborb it, from here do i let go of mk+mp and dash, or do i hold on to it and dash to do wutever combo i want
and am i able to dash out of any animation of the SA even if i let go and they block it
well make sure the attack part of the SA comes out first. sure everyone messed up and dash before the attack comes out, especially when youre attacked with a SA while charging your SA.
you cant dash out of "any" animation of the SA. once it hits or even right when its about to hit, yo utap the direction where you want to dash. you cant dash out the few last frames and if you dont dash, youll be in for a surprise if youre playing against someone good.

you can do either, counter hit by letting go, or dashing in or out of it. depending on what attack it is you can do whatever you want if theyre still in negative frames.
and yes you can dash out of SA after they block it, you should start the dash early so once it impacts them the dash is already buffered.

In range for SA, I always do the attack, not dash. If anything, back dash, Cause usually when you absorb a normal a special is coming behind it which negates anything you can do. The fact that dash in to attack will take more frames than just letting go and hoping for a crumple into big damage.
