If you find the right person and she happens to be taller than you, great, you've done something the rest of society only wishes they could do. Is there really a "special" way to go about asking a girl taller than you out? Get to know her, if she likes you she likes you, height won't mean shit to her. Unless she is one of those women who will judge you on shit like that the minute you talk to her. Would you really want to deal with someone like that? Just be confident.

I'm pretty average height (5'8 1/2 - 5'9 barefoot last I checked) so there are a number of girls my height/bit taller with heels, never felt insecure.
On the strength - 9/10 tall women - have issues stemming from being tall, wether its from being teased, low confidence or even 'over-confidence. I prefer (physically) tall women, but so far I've only come across ONE that I would actually like to date...yeah I BLEW that oppurtunity...she was a good 6'3 to 6'4 and I'm 6'6. *hits self*

But yeah, sometimes you do have to approach it differently...

I know this may sound a little off but I don't really think it's the physical height of the women that makes society deem it weird for the woman to be taller than the man.

It's more of what's associated with being tall that's the problem. It's easy to associate certain characteristics with being tall. Tall people are looked at as being dominate, masculine, etc. While shorter people get a rap for being less powerful, maybe even more submissive and cowardly. That's why it's so easy to laugh at people who have the "Napoleon complex" Everyone just assumes that the shorter person isn't as capable as the taller. Being short or tall has a lot more associated with it than a physical characteristic.

I believe that once you solve those problems that the physical aspect of being short/tall disappears. I'm only 5'1 - 5'2 and no woman I'v ever met or was interested in me ever took my height into consideration, I was not taller than a single one of them either.

The same goes for in the workplace and with my close friends. I'v only been initially judged on my height. I can say with the utmost certainty that no one deems me less capable anymore. It's only because I'v shown dominate characteristics and the physical capabilities to do what people thought I couldn't that the physical aspect of being short disappears.

To answer your question, like everyone else said. It's only an issue if you make it one. I'd personally date a girl taller than me (like I have much choice anyway) and I know for a fact that none of them would really even judge me on my height if they knew me.

It's all about your confidence level. I'm about 5-8 and it seems that I attract my fair share of girls that are taller than me. If you don't let it bother you( or at least don't show it), it seems that the women don't care either. If you're all self-conscience about it, it'll show and be a turn-off.

I remember this one chick and her roommate. I was talking with the 5'11-6' one and her new roommate was about 6'1". They were both shy(got hooked up by some campus connect thing), so I took them both out for something to eat and the movies. That shit was crazy at first. Imagine a brown skinned 5'8" guy walking in between two over 6'( with heels of course) high-yellow girls into the theatre. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but I apparently got a ton of looks from random people.

The only draw-back to dating a girl that's much taller than you is having to look up to them when y'all are talking close to each other. That hurts my neck.

WARNABROTHA and others pretty much have the right idea. As long as you've got "the conviction and the swagger", you can ask anyone out. The last girl that I dated was two inches taller than me, only really noticeable when we're standing next to each other. I didn't have to tiptoe to kiss her or anything and she didn't have to lower herself.
If neither of you mind about one another's height, then it's not a problem.

I don't know what it is, but it seems imo SLIGHTLY under average height people tend to be the most beautiful for whatever reason. That applies to both men and women.

My thought on why maybe men are most attracted (for the most part, as evidenced here, there are always exceptions) to shorter women is the idea they look younger, as well as the underlying subconscious thought that they'll be easier to rape (of course with our society, that's not how things go :rofl:)

Well, my dad is about an inch or two taller than me. But I learned a while back that humans have three different heights depending on the way their spine's align after waking up, so me and my dad (when I see him) is the same height on certain days.

I mean Jerry Springer graduated from high school measuring 5' 1"/5' 2", and you see him now at 6'. That's 10 - 11 inches of growth after 18. Obviously he's a wild exception, but it just largely depends on your physical activity and nutrition, mental and social state, and any large growth spikes you've had.

But to answer your question, men typically do the bulk of their skeletal growth by 18, and they grow otherwise until 25. Whites and Blacks tend to have more growth after 18 than the other races, and growth of around 1 inch after 18 is pretty common.

So yeah, it's pretty likely you'll hit 5' 11". 6 foot isn't out of the question, but I wouldn't set your mind expecting it. Still, it's certainly possible.

Damn man, you don't think petite girls are fucking hot? I've seen quite a few girls as short as 4'8" who looked damn delicious. Usually the thighs are luscious but not cheesy, and they sometimes have a nice round ass, at a better ratio than average/tall girls. I'm not into actual midgets though. As long as the proportions are right, then it's all good.

Anyway, I don't think I could fuck with a chick taller than me, and I'm about 5'9"-10" and I'm still growing. Or at least I think and hope I am. I've seen some really amazing girls around here that are around my height or a bit shorter. However, taller than that and it just seems to be so rare for a girl to still be really attractive to me. Really tall people just don't seem to be that attractive, in general, for some reason.

I'm 5'10" ish, gf is 5'8" ish. Both Asian. Where the height thing comes in is I'm broad shouldered, and have a skull the size of a bowling ball, whereas she's slender and long limbed, so she looks even taller than she is (for an Asian). When she first saw me - from across a gym - she got her friend to call me over so she could make sure I was taller.

Yep, we'd have good looking kids.

It entirely depends on your growing patterns. I mean Jerry Springer graduated from high school measuring 5' 1"/5' 2", and you see him now at 6'. That's 10 - 11 inches of growth after 18. Obviously he's a wild exception, but it just largely depends on your physical activity and nutrition, mental and social state, and any large growth spikes you've had.

Yeah, really a rare case there, in fact I remember Val Kilmer stating in a interview that something similar to the Jerry Springer thing happened to him, and Kilmer also stopped at around 6´ or 6´1".

By the way I'm 5´10" and my dad is around 5´9"..not really a big difference but a difference anyway.
