Rufus: Just thought of as a complete joke character by some

The lack of discussion certainly isn't because he's a character who lacks depth for whom there is nothing worth discussing about though. There are a whole bunch of things about Rufus that can be discussed. People just aren't talking about them.

But if there's anything about him that you're interested in talking about, by all means bring it up and I'm sure people will respond eventually.

Rufus is such a great character, comparing him to Dan is terrible hahaha.

He is pretty much the only character I'm using at the arcade now, but once console version drops I am going to learn some others. (Rufus will remain my main though.)

I plan to main Rufus when SF4 console hits. I think he's awesome, and I wish during that 1up thing someone there could have shown those fools he's much more then just a joke.

The developers wanted to do something different when they were creating Rufus. Personally I think they borrowed the idea from Tekken's Bob but it's all in fun. They wanted a different kinda character in the game that made people think twice and Rufus is that character. He's definitely what you'd call a rhetorical character. If the developers make you feel something inside when you see him then they did what they wanted. Rufus is a SF character that doesn't have the build of a typical Street Fighter character and that's pretty much what they were going for. He's kinda like Dan except made to be a real solid character masked as a crappy one instead of made to be mediocre cuz Capcom hates SNK. LOL.

People aren't talking about Rufus for the same reason they really aren't talking a whole bunch about any of the other new characters. There just hasn't been a lot of time to experiment when 99 percent of the American public has 0 access to the game.

25 Characters is loads. Unfortunately, many fall to the wayside. I definitely wanna play Rufus some, and I really like his move set.

HIs "Totomae-DA!" at the end of his Ultra makes me think of... the Duel Masters Anime, lol. Since even in the American airings, they had the kids saying that. At any rate, his Ultra is one of the coolest, best staged ones in the game, I'd have to say.

I think I'm closer to maining Rufus, so far, than I ever was to, say, Honda... so... err.. That's,,, something?

I agree that the whole fat thing just isn't funny. Fat people might be a novelty to the Japanese, but to most other countries its just stupid looking.

Its the same thing with the Japanese naming their video game characters after biblical characters. I have to deal with that shit all the time, I don't wanna see it in my video games.

I just like how his belly fat just bounces all over the place when he does his mid-air attacks. Plus he is one of the few "big" characters that is the complete opposite of what most big characters are. 1) Slow 2) Grappler
