Those idiots are on again, I swear I randomly turn it to that channel and at least once every 5 times one of those guys are on. Why for the love of anything are these guys always on. They are about as funny as Dane Cook. It is always the same shit over and over and over.:lame:

Just because you do not like them does not mean hundreds upon thousands of others love them. To be honest I am not a fan of them either, but just like everything on T.V they would not put them on if they did not attract viewers.

It all comes down to money. They attract viewers, and therefore attract advertisers to Comedy Central. You may hate them all you want, but until they stop bringing in a steady flow of cash you will see their faces.

No one outside of about 4 states watches or have ever watched those guys. And the people that do, they all have the intelligence of a pet rock. Not to mention they are just unfunny as hell.

I like observational humor of stupid shit, but I've only seen like, 2 specials from Ron White, and they both used the same jokes. I'll take Lewis Black over him any day in that department.

As some others said: Ron White is funny.

Ron White's funny. Jeff's OK. Bill and Larry are hit/miss and the hits don't hit that hard.

Ron White needs new material though.

Sigh, I live in Tennessee. Its bad enough I have to hear southern accents on a day to day basis, why in the hell would I want to listen to stand up comedians who talk like they are retarded?

Ron White would be a lot better if all his blue collar sets and his comedy central sets weren't all the same.
Get some new material mother fucker.

I am a huge fan of Ron White despite his sets being stale. He has the potential to be one of the great comedians. He has the look, the stage presence, the facial expressions and queues. He has everything a top carding comedian needs (which he already is through the help of foxworthy) but he just needs fresh, better and more diverse material. Only then would he be able to break out from Foxworthys blue collar shadow that was cast down upon him.

Bill Egvall (sp on last name?) is on Foxworthys nuts. He got made because of Foxworthy. I have nothing positive to say about him.

I fucking hate Larry the Cable Guy. He is a terrible comedian. "My joke bombed but I'll tell you it's funny so you'll laugh. And I'll be a generic dumb redneck and have no continuity with my jokes"

I could go on a huge spiel about Foxworthy, but long story short = his comedic stardom started in the early 90's. no one heard from him since, then he had a sudden resurgence for god who knows what reason.

People got sick of him around mid 90's after they realized his "you might be a redneck" was the same recycled set over and over again. So he tried his luck at sitcoms and TANKED terribly.

For people who like clean, "down home" comedy, yeah. People can find them funny. But I for one don't. As it seems many others agree.

Except they show HBO specials from comedians on Comedy Central all the time.

i'm pretty sure comedy central produced that special/tour so they have all of the rights for it and can show it cheaper than they can other specials like the kings of comedy or HBO/showtime specials.

This most likely answers the question. What else can they show that's cheap and fills a huge block of time?

Honestly before the Blue Collar thing they used to show Kings of Comedy 3~4 times a week, now we just get the redneck version of it.

HBO Downtown Productions is distributing partners with Comedy Central which is why they show HBO comedy specials from time to time.

most of america is stupid and filled with rednecks who elected george bush twice. and thought palin would make a great VP. so it shouldn't come as a shock, it should be expected that rednecks would like redneck comedy.

I can see the delivery being funny but the content is pretty mediocre (to me at least).

honestly I think comedy central took a huge hit when it lost dave chappelle. Mind of Mencia was bootycheeks IMO. The Sarah Silverman show was AIGHT. Chocolate News is BOOTY BUTT CHEEKs. (I've even lost a lil respect for David Allan Grier as a comic). also that lil Comedy court thing they did with Lewis Black was just plain bad programming.

South Park is always good, no matter what.

Colbert and Stewart are pretty decent shows, but they even whore the reruns of those.

I'm kind of interested in the new show they have with the dude that plays the guitar and does the lil sketches on the easel.

I have however been enjoying comedy central lately due to the increased "Comedy Central Presents" Stand-Up Specials and the ones put out by the major comics.

That Joe Koy guy is TOP TIER. Dane Cooks latest standup is cheeks.

Scrubs reruns are good sometimes too. Sometimes Futurama is ok to watch.

My latest TV thing has been to watch the old KOTH episodes on Adult Swim :D

Sometimes I wish Larry the Cable Guy was actually an extremely refined brit who drinks his tea with one pinky up and just puts on the whole "Cable Guy" act for the stage.

That would be amazing.

"Larry" is from Nebraska but was raised and currently resides in Florida. And the accent is fake.

He is also married to a former radio personality from Las Vegas and has 2 children.

Larry has said in a lot of interviews (in accent) that the way he only speaks in his "normal voice" when he is with his family and close friends. When it comes to public or productions he always stays in character so he won't forget to switch from Daniel (his real name) to Larry.

Yeah, the "Cable Guy" thing is a bigger act (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIWO5LgUZ28) than most realize.

But I don't judge a comedian for changing his onstage persona unless it's as big a shift as MC Hammer going gangster. I just go off jokes.

I honestly don't find any of the guys on that show funny, my father can laugh at their comedy but I can't, he claims it's because I was raised up north and he's more of a southerner. If that's true or not, I've no clue.
