How does this work? Is it a forward throw or back throw? I can't see what sort of mind games you can get off of a teleport, since there's a lag time before he can hit, and you can see where he is going. Or is this just something that worked in the GS tournament?

I like doing this to charge characters since it takes away their horizontal charge which makes them have to resort to blocking or using a much riskier vertical charge move. This holds especially true against Balrog and Vega.

The better idea is to do it off the forward throw since you have more time to maneuver around before the opponent can do anything.

This is a very useful tactic. Lets say you score a knock down. You anticipate your opponent will not quick rise but will try a wake up attack. You walk towards( to the point where you are sliding your opponent across the ground lol.) them and right when they are about to wake up you teleport behind them. Because teleport has invincible frames on both sides( start up and a few frames once you have reached your destination) the opponent completely whiffs on wake up. That tactic requires specific timing but it is good if you can read your opponent.

also if you teleport back after a throw you can reset the distance between you and your opponent.

Basically, I want to thank Loganville Gamestop in Georgia, US for:
1) allowing late entries
2) not setting up til after 2 pm
3) having default xbox 360 controllers a. 1 with a broken right joystick*
* = after not finding another original xbox 360 controller that worked they decided to replace BOTH xbox 360 controllers with 2 GREAT(/joke) controllers..

Now, i'm gonna rant because this abomination of controllers they gave us costed $24.99 each brand new and instead of opening one original Xbox 360 controller, to replace the one with the broken joystick they opened these instead. Now the D-Pad is about as par up with the original xbox 360 controller. What's worse is the cheaply made analog stick. I own a xbox 360 and I would've rathered played on a PS3 controller than the one's the provided. On average all the charge characters out there maybe pulled off their moves 1/5 times. Now, as someone suggested before, I practice daily of doing each charge move at least 50 times in a row to ensure I'm used to pulling the move off without failing.

If I could see anyone pull off 50 charge moves with that controller period, please show meh.

Not to mention there was this one cocky guy who flat out said, "the late ones always win" and "you guys are looking at your winner" ..who used blanka and barely pulled off moves himself.. Now I don't know whether to blame the controller or his skills, but basically

as playing Dictator, I can't set up a mind game against people if I can't pull off my moves to set them up/ bait them.

So Yes, I'm sorry for the wall of text but thanks Gamestop. :lame:

I got to round 2 of Round 2 today then I got paired against a friend of mine (happens) and lost.In the first round I laid a ken to waste.I waived bye-bye as I hit an ultra. He was so helpless against the devil reverse/ headstomp mind game.My only qualms was the condition of the controllers (we went through 4 because the dpad would get stuck) and it was messed up that the winners did not get a fightpad they have to wait.

Lost to a blanka of all things. Have been in a pretty bad losing streak the last couple days anyhow. Unfortunatly, xbla expired today, so I can't even practice properly.

I'm from University Place WA.

I took first at the local game stop, and then second in Round 2. Round 3 is in Tukwila?? Wierd.

I,... like 95% of the other players complain and bish about not using personal controllers (sticks). The Dhalsim that beat me was native to Xbox Controller so you could tell he was very comfy.

I'm so tired of missing easy stuff. I'll be spending the next 2 weeks playing nothing but pad. If anyone wants to get some pad v pad practice in I'm always down to play.

Yeah, I was in the white hat. The guy who beat me was very easy to read (the cocky dude). He was countering all my jumps... but I wasn't meaning to jump 80% of the time lmao :rofl: Bisons c.lp -> s.lp -> s.lk -> c.mk -> scissors, was IMPOSSIBLE on that controller. Instead of the c.mk I would get a s.mk, man Mad Catz are terrible.

Chun Li guy wasn't bad, I could tell most people were suffering from the controller anyway. Meh, oh well :rolleyes:
