What's a good way of getting this move to connect? (at least, with a good enough chance)

Or is it not worth using at all?

when the opponent is dizzy? :)

I sometimes do it accidentally and get walloped for it.

The most important thing to know about df. hk is that it is both an overhead and it can be canceled. Two way I like using it( and one so so way):

1. mp -> df. hk(target combo) xx Oicho. Its been discussed but this really is an extremely effective way to land an Oicho. I actually think that it becomes even more useful off of his target combo, which acts as a semi tick throw. It also a little safer this way since if they see you start up the df. hk on its own they have an easier time punishing.

2. target combo \ df.hk xx EX focus. I love mixing this one in on wakeup. If you anticipate an attack on wake up, back dash to safety and (hopefully) punish. whatever they threw out. Or attempt to go in for a level 2-3 FA. For this one, I think going off of the regular df.hk is better, since it baits attacks more often then the target combo.

3. Oicho follow up to df. hk xx mk sumo splash. Kind of rare that the ideal situation will present itself but...If you land the oicho, you spacing will cause the sumo splash to cross up a crouching opponent.

Anyways just thought I would share some uses I have found. Hope it helps.

Nice. You can also cancel it into super. Seeing as its an overhead and it isn't very fast, opponents may see the first few frames and try to hit you out of it for a little bit of damage, leaving themselves open, and then u cancel it into the super. Timing is fast but you should be able to see all of this.

Those are some actually good tips. I'll try to add them into my general strategy. Thanks.

I forgot, you can also cancel d/f+hk -> butt splash and ex butt splash. Very useful.

Yeah thats what I meant when I said Sumo Splash. Average height characters will be hit with a cross up if they block the EX version standing up. Tall characters (like sagat) will still be hit but it wont cross up. With shorter characters (like blanka) the EX version will whiff the second hit if they are standing.
