Has anyone reached more than 2000BP with Cammy?

I've seen Cammy players at 3500+

The few random Cammy's that I happen to run into back a week ago or so were all above 2000BP. Just today, after going up and down around 1900BP, I finally managed to trip 2000 today.

Personally, I dislike ranking systems, because they tend to bring the evil out of some folks (rage mail). The only reason I play ranked because that's what most everyone else plays on. No one ever joins my game when I create a Player Match :shake:

I'm not great but i'm touching over 1000 BP, and over a series of random people. Thankfully I've only been receiving rematches and some praise for ranked battles.
Yea the BP system is weird, you expect people with awesome icons and titles to be really good(almost untouchable) but they fall short when you actually play against them.

Don't forget, its not a set thing that Cammy's the player's main, some people are random as well.

I topped out around 1800 bp before quitting out of sheer boredom. I might try to get higher later on, but right now it's all Ken/Ryu/Sagat in ranked matches, and that's just not fun for me.

I'd rather do player matches vs good players, get my ass kicked, and learn something, rather than KO'ing SRK-Wakeup-Scrub #223.

I'm really just not a fan of the BP system, sorry ><

I remember someone posting in the BP thread in the main SF4 boards here on SRK that they got 3500-ish and were climbing, check that thread out.

Was having trouble at about 1-1.2k for this past week

Rofl, I find it the same. I don't mind fightin' them charcters but most people play em the same as each other. I just wish I could fight more varied characters regular so I get more rounded experience.

I'd say 70% of people I've played against are Ken, about 10% Ryu, 10% sagat, the other 10% make up people willing to play other characters.

Out of the few Cammy's I've played the highest I've seen is 1200 bp, but that maybe cus my rankin is so dam low :'(

This question is ridiculous, because you are implying that her character is so terrible that it must be out of sheer luck that 2000+ BP is possible. Unfortunately people think that "tier lists" matter at this level of play. If you arent at/close to worldwide championship level, then I would say that tiers just dont matter. The level of play seems completely different then anything you find on XBOX Live, so much so that really you could play with the "worst" character and still be extremely successful. To sum up, this question is silliness. =)

I've gone over 2000 a couple times, but then i took a long break from the game. I lost a couple times and im already down to 1750

When did I ever say or even implying that Cammy sucks. Cammy is good and I main her. I'm just looking at whether everyone is doing good with Cammy online since she hasn't been out as long as the other main characters. The tier list to me is crap and I do not go by it. honestly the opposite is usually true
At low level gameplay the stuff that is abusable by high will be much more glaring and harder to defeat by scrubs. Granted there are also "low tier" characters that will shine in low level due to certain ease of play, but a scrubby dive-in/jump happy vega will still lose to a tigershot/shoryu happy sagat.
The low tier characters are still high risk low reward while the high are the opposite
but then when you get to worldwide tournament level, they know how to cover their weaknesses much better than random scrub #3001 and have a much better fighting chance.

Take guilty gear for example...I believe there was only 1 or 2 (I know there was one slayer) top tier characters in the final 8 of the SBO 3v3, yet there were 2 anjis, and a bridget and various other "low tier" characters. Granted, I'm sure it's also on a game by game basis...but I really think tiers mean less than you think when you get to that level

LAWL!!! yea its freakin insane... online matches, 9 out of 10 kens, and all they do is: SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP! SHORYUEKN SWEEP SHORYKEN!!! holy hell annoying as HELL!!! been playing for 2 days straight and havnt seen any cammy yet :(

Battle Point system is WACKED. Last night I played a ~4800 BP Sagat player using my Cammy, I finished the match in 2 rounds and nearly perfect him on the 2nd round. Don't pay too much attention to BPs, when I play fellow SRKers with low or no BP, I get my ass handed to me like I never played this game before.

Yeah, I might get back into Ranked Matches, just to see how high I can go with Cammy, not that's I'm the best Cammy player out there or anything, just to see if I'm improving my game at all.

I have a few friends at 4500+ with their characters, and it seems at that BP range you risk a lot more than you gain. A friend of mine won 6 or 7 matches in a row the other day, getting 20-30 BP per win, then lost once and it cost him 200+, effectively cancelling out everything he'd gained during those first wins.

Still, I see players with 10k + BP, and that must mean something. Unless there's a way to rack up BP quickly/easily.

i'm at like 2200.

i still face a lot of ryu/ken mashers that all give me a GREAT +4 - 15 points. all of which has a good random chance to land c.rh meaty on me 5 times in a row cuz i love doing wakeup dp on them, yet i have the worst timing in the world and i eat all 5.

i almost made it to 2500, but i lost to 3 gief players who just spammed lariat and i didnt' really get much experience playing giefs....and..i fucked up a LOT of punishes, and fucking up means 1/3 of my life. so yea...damn you 600 bp giefs. taking like 100+ bps each from me..
