Well, I usually try to positive, but when you run into ignorant people on Live ya just gotta write about it. So, I'm learning Abel went 5 - 0 with him. All of a sudden, I meet this Cammy guy with a really laggy server, I could not move, so I quit, and he trash talks.

I can't remember the guy's gamer tag, but they were playing Guile. The last round of the match he busted an ultra that whiffed, and I guess he knew that I was going to go into my ultra ( I play Ryu btw) and he disconnected right as the camera zoomed into Ryu's metsu hadoken.... Even though ppl disconnect, I still get enjoyment knowing that I erked them that much. It lets me know that I am a pretty good player.

bad games to SPARTANKILLA2. Not only does he blatantly cheat, but he also brags about it. Play the game how it is. dont use outside sources to tamper with it. I filed about 10 complaints against this guy and sent him a bunch of messages telling him he could never win without turbo and tampering. he was even talking about what kind of turbo controller he is using.

Never play against SPARTANKILL2 and if you do, file a complaint, cuz you'll notice he's obviously cheating and bragging about it.

BGs to a player with a gamertag I wouldn't remember unless I go look it up. Anyways, It's my Guile againist his Ken and he gets pissed that I'm throwing him constantly. He turns his mic on and tells me to "STOP FUCKING THROWING ME!" With Guile, throwing is one of his main weapons, otherwise, I'd be crouching the whole time whiffing my sonic booms and flash kicks, Not to mention all my normals would have been blocked accept for Guile's weaksauce overhead.

Of course I throw him some more, from the ground and air. I pretty much did ever throw in Guile's aresnal. It was a close final round (I tend to eat alot of dumb crap from flowchart Ken). I nearly won the match but I miscalcuated a jump-in forward (thought it was a crossup) and lost. Then he said "GTFOAH!" like I did something wrong. I shrugged it off and continued to play, but I doubt that guy will want to play me again.

Fair enough, I lost to his flow chart Abel in a championship match... my bad for assuming that he'd do something different other than run-away wheel kick, cross up BnB on knockdown, and roll roll roll on wakeup........ over and over. Yes I didn't realise he was an autopilot.

So I stumbled across him again, and on the assumption he was _this_ stupid, I predicted nearly every single move, to a point he just wanted to roll out of the corner, so I just kept knocking him down with low.MK->HP shoryuken like 4 times in a row until stunned. Then I did the classic mistake of finishing him with an ultra, forgetting that it gives him plenty of time to pull the plug...

He also sent me a hate voice message complaining about my repeated abuse of the Shoryuken, and boasting that he beat me one game to show how shit I was....

Played him twice the other night. He a lousy Gief with around 40000 BP. Played him with Fei first time after he purposely took forever to pick, and got my ass handed to me for doing dumb stuff (It's been awhile since I played SF4). I play him again and this time I tried to screw with him by picking Seth. Schooled him first round(he kept spamming green hand), and second round, I changed my playstyle a bit and got beat. ended up losing the match as I was screwing around, using Seth's SPD even though it does crap damage againist Gief. Later he sends me a message that said:

I told him "u mad cause Seth is Gief's worse matchup and you almost lost because of it. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't got to where you are if it wasn't for gief's crazy shenanigans."

BG's to SPARDA 2009. was nearly 3:00AM, joined his 3 bar lobby. Pretty standard Seth with no mixups. Jump in, mash jab, or empty jump into 360's. or teleport into DP which would land a surprising amount of time due to the "lag switching" that he was complaining about. As soon as he loses he is literally crying into his mic that I am lag switching. I play Viper, yes a lag switch would so beneficial to me. :rolleyes:

I've also played Sparda 2009 btw. That guy sucks. Capitalizes off the fact that nobody really plays Seth, as that's the only logical way to explain how many points he has in Championship mode. Typical flow chart bullshit.

Either this is a coincidence or the following makes for a BG to TurnAroundDawg.

I play his Ryu vs. my Chun, and easily beat him Round 1. Round 2, all of a sudden, the game lags like crazy. I can't pull off links, combos nothing. Can't combo into EX legs. He easily beats me.

Round 3 starts off normal, until I get the life lead. And it starts lagging again, and I can't do anything past that point.

I should also say that at the start of the match, it was a 4-bar connection.

Story goes like this: I'm cruising my way to another G2 Championship, la-la-la.. I switch to Ryu for some lulz. My Ryu's rusty and I want to bust him out at a tournament on Saturday.

I run into this guy, and he has 5 bars. Excellent. I ready, pick Ryu, and see he picked Gief. Great.

Okay, that's not so bad. I know this matchup sortof.

The match starts, everything's fine for about 5 seconds and he jumps into a dragon punch first exchange..

AND THEN SUDDENLY LAG. The game bogs down to 5 FPS. It literally takes 5 minutes for the first round, and the timer was still at 73 seconds.

Thankfully, well prepared for this situation I just mash dragonpunch on him over and over again. I win after 5 excrutiating minutes. I put on my headset, tempted to just leave the match as it showed no signs of clearing up. I figured what the hell, right? Why not leave?

Because I'm not full bitch. That's why. Scrubs like this can abuse MASSIVE lag (literally, game was running at a tenth speed or worse. I wish I could've recorded somehow.) and increase my disconnect percentage? It's already at 5%! I've played over a thousand games, and each time I disconnect because it's too laggy for me to play the match, it goes up 1.. Great coding Capcom.

So I mash DP on him for another 5 minutes, he starts getting desperate and jumps at me. Suddenly, lag clears up.. FOR MOTHER RUSSIA!

Thankfully I know Laggief's book of tricks, jump back and throw a fireball, FADC taunt right in his grill.

I immediately send him a voice message- irate for wasting 10 minutes of my time, and call him a lag switch using nigga and to stop mashing lariat.

That is the reply I got.

Dude your paranoia on whether or not people have a lag switch is ridiculous. Our connection may have been bad, yes, but I would NEVER do it intentionally. I am sorry that it was bad. Cheating in games is pointless and I only play online because I want to become a better offline player.

I couldn't even do headbutt into ultra properly. He beats me the first round I beat him the second round and the third round he's beating me really bad than I start mixing it up with rog I finally got him to the last of his health the lag gets worst and he mashes ex dp with ken the chip damage killed me.......

I replied with "typical scrub bs. i'm trying to win a fucking fight, not to entertain your sorry ass"

its so annoying to wait for 5 minutes at the minimum for a match with a DECENT connection....then the fuckers just run. Its even more annoying if they send hate mail (very few times to i get Gloat mail...since i normally beat the online scrub handley)


Also, bad game to CutieoftheMonth. Whoever she is, she is really good....which i like. Challenging matches...BUT, i run into this girl every month...she'll normally win...not the problem. Never have I fought a match where a lag switch was so obivious, especially againist someone with 5 bars. Dude did walk up throw cause he knew I couldn't tech properly with his lag spike.

3rd Round and we're both down to low heath. After another unsucessful throw tech(that nearly beat me), He goes for Ultra to chip me away on wakeup. I bust out my Ultra, and somehow the choppy framerate that plagued the entire match clears right up; The Ultra runs smoothly.

I hate Chunlag matches.

Well, I ain't gonna rule out the lag switch 100% but I know a bit bout wireless networking.

If you are playing on a wireless connection then that usually means you have a computer in another room that other people use. If the person on that other PC decides to go to any site that streams media, any news site or youtube for example, then that can pretty much bog the wireless connection down heavy if its not setup correctly.

Which imo 99% of the time people don't have their router QoS settings set up to partition the bandwidth and make the xbox's wireless have priority over the bandwidth.

What does that mean, in english? Well the router will take away speed from the wireless connection to support the main computer's action, in this case streaming media. Taking away the wireless's power will lower the quality of the connection causing lag, which is why the setting's name to adjust this is called Quality of Service or QoS for short.


Applications requiring QoS

A defined Quality of Service may be required for certain types of network traffic, for example:

- # streaming multimedia may require guaranteed throughput to ensure that a minimum level of quality is maintained.

- # online games, such as fast paced real time simulations with multiple players. Lack of QoS may produce 'lag'.

I like how the lot of you all here are crying about getting lagswitched. I dont think it happens that often. Some games just get laggy. Its happened to me against people i know, its just how things happen in this game. Not every match that ends is a rage quitter and not ever match that lags is a lagswitcher.

Like this one time, i was playing against this Sagat on the PC version, i use Guile. he was Winning, but im not a sore loser so i dont really care, and the connection just dropped. He msgs me back calling me a ragquitting F a g and whatnot. i offered him a rematch and gave him his props, and he just kept insulting me.

During the end of the match, the lag kicks up so badly that I almost lost, but he whiffed an ultra and I counter-ultra'd and won. I get a disconnect message afterwards . . . and now the tournament's reset so now I have to start all over again. :(

I'm a pretty defensive player, but I decide wtf, I'll just rush dude down this game. I end up losing, which is my fault entirely -- not my style! He boots me and starts sending all these messages about how I'm a '****** ass Canadian,' how he 'raped me' (it ended 6-5 in my favour!), and how he 'wasn't trying'. I sent him a message laughing and saying I beat him without playing my main, and he said 'you didnt beat me,' and that 'theres nothing worse than a scrub feeling himself.'
