Vega, ugh!

So I am new to these forums, and just want to say, hi! I really like this community so far, and I have read many threads regarding my main, Akuma.

Though, I need some advice on Vega.

I fought him today, and he seemed too unpredictable when I was playing defensive and just launching fireballs and playing keep-away. Then I tried to rushdown (if that is the correct terminology), and was able to beat him the next match. But then in our third match, I failed with being aggressive and just got beat.

Maybe he was just a better player, or maybe I had the wrong strategy. But I figured someone on here can help me out with Vega, or Vega-style players. I feel like Bison is similar as well from his psycho-crusher and aerial attacks.

I'm a Vega player myself, albeit a very new and non-reliable one.
If you get the lead, sit on it. Let the Vega chase you. Vega is not good in the rushdown department. Do everything you can to keep him from sweep range. A good mix up of fireballs plus the inevitable punishment should do the trick.
