my ken's execution problem

Noob question regarding a ken move set

step kick -> c.mk -> fireball

because step kick has a forward motion and c.mk has a downward motion

when i try to pull off the fireball (qcf) an uppercut always seem to come out.

I would say 1/3 of the time I would get an uppercut instead of a fireball.

if anyone have some tips for me that would be great!
maybe hcf intead of qcf for the fireball?

yes hcf does work. Dont abuse this though. Ken's fireball follow up is NOT safe.

so u end the poke with c.mk ? or is there another option beside fireball

mk reaches the farthest so yea thats the only choice. People might counterpoke you so mix it up.

-> mk , pause, c.mk counter poke. Or you could even go for a cross-up if you feel froggy.
