I was just trying to help you by letting you know there are OTHER sites besides SRK in the world to get your info. I didn't know this was the only website you had access to.

I just suggested he use a little more fucking effort to find an answer instead of relying on a message board for everything he needs.... he apparently had the energy to post a dumb picture... but couldn't type in "Dan history" in Google? I never said he couldn't talk about Dan, so let's get that straight.

CvS 2 didnt have more characters than MvC 2. Everything else is pretty spot on though.

So which SF games are canon and which are superfluous? Are the Vs. games alternate realities? Is the SF / Capcom relationship akin to the X-men / Uncanny X-men, for example? Dan doesn't appear until Alpha. So the Alphas are part of canon. He takes on and loses Sakura as his pupil in Pocket Fighter, for christsake.

I know that the MSH v SF ending is parody to Ryo's Art of Fighting end, Dan is parody incarnate. But being parody doesn't mean it doesn't actually happen in the games' universe. That's why I want to know where the realty/joke line is. Which of these histories is accurate? I would think canon would be anything occuring in any game with any SF character. If not, why not?

Canon games (you of course have to consider only some of the endings to be canon) :
Street Fighter
Street Fighter Alpha, Alpha 2, Alpha 3
Street Fighter II, II New Challengers, etc
Street Fighter IV
Street Fighter III, Second Impact, etc

I don't know if the EX serie is canon, though.

None of the VS games are canon (although I'd love Chun-Li to be an actual member of the X-Men).

I prefer to think the storyline where dan takes over shadaloo and turns their base into a training hall for his style, and then gets blwon up by charlie too be the true storyiline.

Any of the games with the words Street Fighter in it with the exception of the EX games. Capcom Vs. ______ games do not count.
