I was messing around with fei(while failing badly at hard trial 3 ) and i realized that his ex chicken dose less damage than the fierce kick one and has the same range for 3 hits. so what the advantage of using the ex version. maybe the startup is quicker... but if so its barely noticable

EX goes through fireballs and starts up a bit faster. I mostly use it to get around fireball zoners.

It has a lot of invulnerable frames. Good for going through fireballs. It's his most worth-wile EX move by far.

I think it still gives you 0 frame advantage like his HK cw.

Yep, according to the frame data it's the same as hk CW. 0 on block, +4 on hit.
