Im having some serious problems countering someone when they use Focus Attack as im getting up from the ground. The only SA breakers Balrog has is his dash sweep and TAP, but none can be used immediately off the ground. I tried using the headbutt, but even though it says I done a reversal, I get hit.

Is there anything that can be done?
(Assuming I have no EX bars)

You can throw them, and also mixing up the timing of when you get up will probably help.

Is there a flawless way to time the FA such that you do not even have time to backdash or throw ? This is assuming no quick get up.

this... and to koroshiya8.. no.. even if you get thrown and cant quick get up, backdash has invincibility in its initial start-frames so you wont get hit by the unblockable fully charged FA

back dash is underrated... the funniest is when you backdash against zangief when youre pinned in the corner and he whiffs SPD literally right in front of your face :rofl:

my room mate and i have had a draw game. what is funny is it messes up the win/lose % ratios so that they don't add up.

attempted meaty FA can be dealt with by the already mentioned back dashing away or using the headbutt on wake up as reversal.
