Players PLEASE use this thread for shout outs, suggestions, etc. I want us to become a community, not just a bunch of random players who meet up and not talk to each other. Treat everyone like you'd treat your close friends. Next tournament, don't be afraid to talk some smack, ask someone to play, or even talk strategy with the other players.

Guam's first Street Fighter IV league is almost over. Players acquired points based on how they placed in three weekly tournaments and the top 8 players with the most points move on to the playoffs where they can win big cash prizes!!! Will update this thread with the final results.

Playoffs are Sunday, May 17th at 5pm! People in the play-offs don't have to pay to enter. Prizes are cash and G3 time.

The top 8 players in the playoffs are

1st: Jashon (Blanka/Balrog/Ken; 27 points)
2nd: Kevin (Sagat; 21 points)
3rd: Peter (Guile; 18 points)
4th: Dale (Ken; 16 Points)
5th: Gonzalo (M. Bison; 9 points)
6th: Troy (Ryu; 8 points)
6th: Cris (Ryu; 8 points)
8th: Moe (Chun-Li/Rufus; 7 points)
Moe is now in the play-offs due to Max dropping out.

Shout outs for the 3rd touranment:

+ Kevin and Dan. Gouken mirror match was fucking crazy!!! Lay off that YouTube Kevin, those combos are too bad ass.

+ Neal and his mexican shenanigans versus Kevin, a.k.a. Mexicanigans!!! Don't worry man. Someday your El Fuerte ISN'T going to go 0-2.

+ My match vs. Kevin. Guile vs. Sagat = Get the lead with Guile and turtle til time runs out :D

+ Taunting Jashon in the grand finals hahaha

- Losing to Jashon in the grand finals :(

+ Justin F., arguably the newest Street Fighter out of all of us, having to face me (who placed 2nd) first round, then facing Jashon (who placed 1st) in the loser's bracket right after. Freaking hilarious.

+ The one time when both stations were Ryu vs. Ryu. Seriously, you guys need to switch characters or something :P

+ RJ a.k.a. Ricky Jones finally making top 8. All that Viper training finally paid off.

haha, You know what? I've never seen a "pro" Ken player, so I wouldn't know. I want to see how a pro would play Ken. For the most part, with people I've played with, which includes Ryu, I've seen the same game play not so different from mine--just in their style. Anyway, I might try another player in tournament, who knows . . . We'll see

Whoa, only now the last comment showed up? Anyway, hey Pete, how do you feel about postponing the playoffs one last week? As you know, finals are next week and I'm pretty sure those who have finals could use the extra time.
