You mean j.mk?

Just moving in the air, over fireballs maybe?

I thought that at first, kind of like honda, but it seems to twitch back into place. Useless move then?

Totally useless, as far as I can tell.

I'm a Seth player.

And I use this for some things.

1. Straight up MK and move forward to make it easier for you to avoid them in the air.
2. Straight up MK and move forward and whiff then do SPD, just to annoy the opponent.

I wouldn't say it's useless, but you don't use it pretty much ;)

I use it after I've won the round as a taunt.

Splash? What is Splash, when you jump and do (Down and MiddleKick?)
If so, I use it to help me avoid projectiles.

It's when you jump directly up and just press Medium Kick. It's worthless.

I can't believe this thread was revived.

No move is worthless always remember that. Just the mere fact that you can move back or forward from a neutral jump gives it alot of worth.

cr.hp -> jump -> splash reset -> ex spd on landing

don't think, just do it

This move is much better than you think.

Its real use is for avoiding fireballs after focus-absorbing something, and this makes it come into play a lot in the Sagat matchup especially. Really, the whole point of the splash is to make up for Seth's quick jump arc, just like Balrog & Honda's neutral j.fierces make up for their shorter jumps.

i use it as i avoid sweep, rarely hitting them so i go for SPD. the fact it recovers faster than other air moves gives it some credit, regardless how stupid it may look.

The only times I've (randomly) used it is neutral jump to bait moves like Chun EX Bird on opponent wakeup. It hits coming down which can naturally lead to cr.mk xx legs
