BlazBlue Arcade Button Layout

I was wondering wich layout most people were using and why they prefer one over the other. Character based?
I personally am using the B config.

Config A (SNK)

- A X X


Config B (Melty Blood)

-- A B C
- D X X

I'm not sure of any other common configurations besides those two. As for me, I use Configuration A; since I'm constantly using my drive button(Litchi), I find it easier to constantly press with my thumb.

There's 2 setups at the arcade. There's 2 because people might prefer one over the other, so you should do the same and choose which one you prefer.

I think I'll be using Config A, because it's a lot more comfortable for me. As other people have said/will say, play however you feel comfortable.

As Noel, I don't use the drive much, so I'm more comfortable by mapping the normals to my three middle digits for ease of use, then hitting D with my thumb which is a bit uncomfortable IMO.

I use Config A myself. It makes it simple to just tap D with my thumb than trying to tap with A twice.

I use A. But it really doesn't matter. It is all preference of the player. I've seen great players use B, and they are way better then some A players. Its all just preference. But once you get used to it, you should be fine.

I have Taunt first row bound because I main Taokaka.

I might end up using the bottom middle buttons for something but in general I like to keep those clear. I also might end up switching Taunt and Rapid Cancel... BUT THE GAME IS NEW! So we shall see.

Anyway, I personally use the "A" setup. I've never heard of the "B" setup before. Everyone I play with uses the A config. I got used to it easily because I play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom so I'm used to doing A, B, C combos. The B config would just piss me off and make me feel like killing myself, lol.

The two buttons on the far right dont work, I didnt wire the Left or Right Shoulder buttons. And the others are just disabled. I think the start button does taunt but Im not sure, I never really press it during a match.

Having A, B, and C all in the same row makes gatling combos pretty easy for me. In addition, using my thumb to perform drive moves just seems to fit. Finally, I've thrown the taunt button in there, for whenever I play Taokaka.

After finding out the 2 options of how it is meant to be played. I haven't settled in on a character yet, but I'm so used to LP/MP/HP setup from street fighter games that moving A to the bottom row and B to the LP position etc would really confuse me, I feel.

At first, I had a strange setup that worked well:

The idea was that in SF (again) I was used to hitting HK all the time for stuff, so it was a little more natural for me to put the drive button there vs. the LK position which I barely used. But now I'm getting used to using my thumb so it feels better. And my old setup made playing Carl and some other characters impossible. I wish I could map D to both positions though!

just because with ABC being weak medium strong respectively, and i use my index middle ring play SF, its only logic that my index would go to the weak attack button, etc.
just some reasoning behind my choice. instead of just telling people what i use O___O.

Hey guys, I just got my SF4 TE Stick because BB, VF5, and SF4 are all nearly unplayable on the 360 controller (especially VF5). I'm not sure how the original arcade set-up looks. I'm interested in maining either Litchi or Carl and subbing Bang or Hakumen. What set up works best for that
