Jay wats the full results of the sfiii tourney for singles and teams.
GGs to all I played on Friday. As sore as my team and I are about how ST teams worked out, congrats to whoever took 1st.
Hope the scene can learn from what went wrong with the last couple of tourneys and get bigger and better in the future.

Oh before I forget:
Stephen: Again, thanks bud.
Directors: Props to the ones who knew what they were doing. You know who you were. As for the rest... yeah.
Montreal: Great to see everyone that came out. I don't even know the last time I saw Phoun.
Ottawa: Always bringing the hype and shit talk. Fun set in 3S teams. It's the only time I actually got hyped up on Friday night.
Hammer: Old heads I'm disappointed you got robbed. Great to see OG Team Hammer out in full force (only missing Jimmy). I'll see you around town.
Kin: Last time and then I'm done. You look great bud, congratulations on the weight loss.
VDO: I'm very sorry I couldn't come to see you.
Arturo: Same to you. Congratulations on your wins.
Plans are in motion...

Overall, I really enjoyed TX. The one thing I'd like to criticise is the venue's food and drink options, but I'll do that later. (I will admit that I preferred it over T9's venue, though. The sauna was much worse, even if it was cheaper.)
By the way, Arturo won ST singles and SF4 singles, and in both cases the hype was dead during the grand finals.
Also, BlazBlue top 3: John (Taokaka), Pui (Litchi, Carl), Russel (Tager, Noel).
Shout-outs:
Arturo, great to finally meet and play you in Arcana again. Your Kamui is definitely your best char, imo. It felt like you controlled space and the pace of the match much better with her. It's still a pleasure to play vs you, even an out of practice one, since you still reveal many weaknesses in how I attack and defend. Hopefully other people learned a lot from playing vs you in SF4 and ST, as well. You also felt much more "beatable" to me than 1 year ago, and if we ever get an AH2.6 arcade board or decent port, expect Canada to come for you.
Bob Saget, good to meet you, too. Hope you guys enjoyed the event.
Shoutout to Dan from Britain: must've been a pretty big let-down overall to come last place in the team tourney after getting stuck with 2 random scrubs who didn't have a team yet (i.e. Yang and I ), and then on Saturday, you're DQ'd 1st round during a smoke break. I hope you managed to get a lot of casuals in, at least. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Canada.
Shoutout to nGuman: we never got to show you Angelia Pong (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfRNuJd_HkY)! :(
Samir: wtf @ winning the grand finals of 3s teams by yourself.
Thanks to Ack, King, and everyone else who enabled 3s singles to run smoothly: thanks for taking over for me. Evidently I shouldn't try to help direct a tournament when I'm a lot more hype for a different game. (Yeah, it sounds pretty obvious. >_< )
BlazBlue was super-hype. Sucks that the TVs lagged until the winners finals in teams, but I don't think it made a big difference overall. At least they were lagless for the rest of the tournaments. Thanks to Pui and the rest of the Lovegety crew for running the tournament. Thanks to everyone who provided sticks for it. Thanks to derek for bringing a setup for casuals on Sunday. And thanks to everyone else who entered, played casuals, or just watched, for helping to make it so hype.
Special congrats to Russel for coming in 3rd place with TAGER! Even beating Spiral Guy's Nu and Hermes's Arakune to get there. (And I heard you won a game vs Pui's Carl, too? Too sick.) I wish I had watched more of your matches before we met in losers, because I didn't realize how much of a BEAST you are with him. :wow: In retrospect, I definitely would've had better odds counterpicking with Arakune, and possibly having to win Arakune vs Noel, than trying to beat Tager with Taokaka.
Special thanks to Issac for giving me a lift to/from Brampton for Saturday night.
The venue:
So about the venue: I don't mind a no-outside-food-or-drink policy, as long as the venue provides reasonable food. For example, not selling cans of pop for $2, or selling more than just chicken and fries for dinner. (By the way, was that food even available all the time? Seemed like people kept announcing when dinner was available, implying that for half the day, you couldn't even buy any food in there...?) I, for one, would rather pay a higher venue fee to have much better food options. Hell, I threw away about $5 on their overpriced drinks alone (before I just smuggled my own in).
Also, recall the complete lack of garbage bins outside, despite having a rule where people are obviously going to be finishing their food and drinks outside. Hopefully they'll learn from the mess of trash left outside.
Lastly, I give the security guys a . In my experience, they were strict about the no-outside-food-or-drink rule, while being as polite as you can when you're enforcing a very inconvenient rule. They didn't complain about anything else. Heck, I'm pretty sure one of them saw me drinking a smuggled powerade on Sunday, but he let it slide.
The janitor was a dick, though. I walk into the men's room Sunday morning, and he bitches at me to leave 'cause he's working in there. At least put a sign up if you don't want anyone to come in, sheesh.

Props to JS Master for having the best result among us in SF4 single but if you guys watch closely I think its easy to say that overall Montreal is ahead in SF4 for now....... we cant forget that we took TOP 6 single and I believe top 3 team at MAT6 as well.
This year at T10 7/11 canadian players in SF4 single are from MTL.... no comment.
Overall...... it was realllllllly fun and I enjoyed seing some old and new faces and I also enjoyed playing a lot of casual ( I was the Ryu/Ken player for those who wonder if we played) !!!!

My opinion:
-Friday ran fine. We were 30min to 1 hour late with registration. Not sure what happened to the other tourny but GG, BB, SCIV, MvC2, and 3S teams ran fine. We could not finish so we left it for the next day. I heard something about ST but I can't comment cause i don't know what happened. SFIV blew up with 31 teams but it was running fine.
Friday most definitely didnt run fine. The director basically dropped the ball, and made no attempt to fix the situation. Every time he called for teams he should've got people to look for the members. I went out of my way to help even to try and make things run abit better, but was never once asked for help by the director.
Even after the first round was completed, he couldn't tell me who was on what team, at least the team captain. How are you suppose to track down people when you don't know who you're looking for?
The director should've noticed the slow pace of the tournament and reacted. But instead he kept at the same slow pace. There were multiple times where the tournament stations were empty. With 32 teams that just shouldn't happen. When I was calling matches I called two matches at a time, and tell people to line up and play right after the match on that machine was done. This way there would be less down time between matches tracking people down. He had tournament maker running but still didn't know what matches were going on. He also called some matches even though they were already playing. This happened more than once. All these missteps added to the over slowness of the tournament.
3 Stations for SF4 was kinda tight, but I think it could've been done. Veas came to me near the end of the night at around 12, 12:30 tell me he had a PS3 in his car that wasn't used. You'd think with an equipment shortage someone would ask around much earlier for another system.
This didn't slow down the tournament, but the director's team only had 2 players. If you're missing players on the team, one member doesn't get to go twice. The fact that he pulled the "i'm the director so I can play twice" is straight up unprofessional, and to add insult to injury that he actually anchored twice (meaning they should've lost) and then won that set is despicable.
To me, the only day that was a big challenged was Saturday.
SFIV had 31 teams. Each team had 3 people. If this was singles it would be fine but each team had to account for 3 people and from what I hear from RXS he always hear "my teammate busy in another tournament or is not here right now or they are nowhere to be found". Of course he could have disqualified them but most of them were literally playing other tournaments. Could not get around this so RXS had no choice but to wait.
Saturday was a total write off. if the member was nowhere to be found, the team should've been DQ'ed right there. The only legit reason why someone can't make it to the station right away is if a member is playing a tourny match, or if they told the director ahead of time that they went on a food break for a SET AMOUNT of time. And registration for singles didn't finish until 6, 6:30 wtf?!? That should've started and completed WAAAAAAAAAY before then. Not sure what happened there but when the venue opened at 1, it just doesn't make sense. Adding to that the 64 player cap at TX is plain ridiculous.
Honestly the SF4 Director was in WAAAAAAAY OVER his head and I dunno if he asked for help or not, cause there was no way any one person could've handled it by himself.

I made it a point not to make a post all this time because yes the tournament was badly run. However, Noodleman, you make it out that I am a bad guy and there are quite a few disparities on the situation in your account of the team tournament.
Yes when I called teams initially there were alot of teams not there or missing members. To say that I didnt' ask for them to look for members is false. The majority of teams that we had to wait for had players playing other matches else where. I can't speak for which teams those were so they will have to speak up themselves. The teams that DID dissappear for no apparent reason were all disqualified (3 teams in total). All major Toronto and Montreal teams made the proper arrangements when leaving the venue and when they were called while other members of their team were tied up playing other games.
I'm not disagreeing that the team tournament was poorly run. I definitely think it was, I had a lot to learn and a lot to take away. I havent' been doing this for years on end like some of you guys (Nagata). Also my co-director also dropped out at the last minute (however when i was notified i thought i would be okay, so this is not his fault). However he was there that night and would have saw how things were going and chose not to step up and help even though he is more experienced than i am (not giving names here, so don't ask).
As for the equipment shortage, this should have been dealt with far before the tournament had even begun, i'm talking weeks before. I can only say that when the tournament was running this wasn't the first thing on my mind at the time due to being completely swamped as it was.
Also as for the 2 member team (my team). When the final round was played we asked the member of the team playing if it was okay to run a third round and he agreed. However his team mates did not and assumed that I had used my director status to make this happen. This was not the case and the situation was clarified after and that team was given an automatic pass into the 1st round of winners and my team forfeited the match. So Noodle on this situation you are missing most of the story.
Also there was a 64 player cap?? When did this happen? I didnt' run registration so i can't answer for this.
As well, before people start making and taking shots at me, I want you guys to understand what i was responsible for and accountable for. My job was to create and run the brackets all other tasks were assigned to various parties not under my control.
In light of my above comment, I do agree that the tournament was run badly and would love to hear any constructive criticism that you guys might have. I'm new to the directing scene and many of you know that I truely have the best of intentions for the Street Fighter community. I have a lot to learn and a lot to experience. When TX was announced by JS and DarkDragon, many people stepped up to the plate for the directors seat for SF4, however every single one of those people dropped out (with the exception of XXL who did offer to help before and after the tournament had started, however I do admit i thought i could handle things myself).
So if anyone else has any questions or concerns please PM me. I do not think that this needs to be discussed further on a public forum when all parties have agreed that the tournament was run badly and that proper steps will be taking/followed up with for the next event. I am always open to suggestions and advice from all individuals and have no problem being accountable for the tasks and responsibilities I am given as a director.

Live and learn. I'm sure this tournament will be a lesson for future organizers that will be running SFIV. It ain't easy. It's tasking and can give a lot of headaches. Especially if helpers don't show.
RXS: Again i give mad respects for you not cracking under the pressure. Criticism can only make us better. So take them as they come in and learn from any mistakes that you think can be improved. I really see you as a great organizer for future tournaments.
SFIV teams was basically the cause of everything being delayed. I'm sorry for people who waited and didn't enjoy themselves. We will learn from our mistakes (even me) when i look back at what happened this weekend. As a T10 director I should have made sure of a lot of things to make this run faster and looking back on it now, every little bit could have helped. I'm still thinking about it in my mind what could have I done. I'm sure RXS is doing the same but again I will take your comments and learn from them. I'm sure RXS will do the same. I don't know what else to say after that.
While I know the SFIV thing will overshadow T10 altogether, I would like to hear people who had great matches as well. I'm not saying to stop with T10 comments but I think the players that won deserve props.

In general it was avery nice tournament the HUGE problem was SF4...I mean basically the person who was running it knew how much ppl were going to attend and still did not prepare well enough to run the tournament smoothly. Its not like you guys didnt come to MAT we hnad 5 tvs at MAT for 60 ppl and the Teams had 100 and was ran on 4 tvs...I mean its pretty obvious that it was gonna take forever to finish but whatever you guys know what to do next year

There were a lot more games played than just sf4. Where are all the rest of the results?
Anyways, the venue was nice. What kinda bugged me was the fact that 3s CLEARLY had a strong demand and that it was still stuck with the single smallest tv, while other games with like 8 people playing had 2 bigger ones..

I made it a point not to make a post all this time because yes the tournament was badly run. However, Noodleman, you make it out that I am a bad guy and there are quite a few disparities on the situation in your account of the team tournament.
when you are tasked to run the tournament and it turns into a debacle, who's fault do you think it is? If you think you're the victim and you're asking for sympathy, then you have another think coming.
Agreed, you did get people to find members every so often, but when you called out only team names, it's a problem. Most players don't even know what their own team name is. Which is why when I helped you track down teams, I asked you who was on the team. Almost everytime I asked you you said "i don't know", then after sometime it finally clicks in your head to check the computer for team members. Might've been the directing pressure, but honestly little things like that made it feel like you were doing a sloppy job.
I'm not disagreeing that the team tournament was poorly run. I definitely think it was, I had a lot to learn and a lot to take away. I havent' been doing this for years on end like some of you guys (Nagata). Like I said, when you realized you were way over your head, you should've asked for help directing. Part of being a director is to get a handle of the situation, and you have to bitch and complain to get things done. I'm not 100% sure what happened on Saturday, but to hear that you were running singles on saturday alone is a pretty clear indication that you did not ask for help.
As for the equipment shortage, this should have been dealt with far before the tournament had even begun, i'm talking weeks before. I can only say that when the tournament was running this wasn't the first thing on my mind at the time due to being completely swamped as it was.
If you read what I said, i said it might've been possible to run the tournament on 3 tv's if they ran matches non-stop.
So Noodle on this situation you are missing most of the story.
as a director, the question to run the third round shouldn't have even come up. I'm pretty sure I heard from you own mouth that "yea i'm pulling rank on this" or something to that effect, as a joke or not, i'm couldn't tell at the time. And "forfeit"? Your team should've lost period and no forfeiting should've been required. The fact that you somehow think this is ok by any standard is quite mind blowing.

This was a mistake on my part, like i said it's my first time running a team tournament and honestly i really didn't know what I was doing. Either way the end result for that match was fixed.
And you definitely heard incorrectly or missed a portion of what i said. I would never say something like that EVER. The players and the community mean more to me than anything else when running a tournament.
In any case, i'm not going to discuss this further. All I ask is for the community to keep supporting and for those who are wiser and more experienced to be there as support. I'm not looking for pity, pity is for the weak. I'm just trying to have you guys understand that the bottom line is i'm learning, i'm apologize for fucking up and I will have it sorted for the next tournament. , and life goes on.

I'm not sure about other games, but BB was definitely really fun and successful. Overall even with all the running around, trying to grab people from SF4 and other games to play BB, things ran pretty smoothly for me and I had a lot of fun directing/playing in the tournament.
One of the better T tourneys imo, but maybe thats coz I don't play SF4 (well, didn't get far) and don't know what really went on with that. I had a really great time and I think the T tourney was organized much better than previous years in terms of collecting money®istration making the directors life easier, finding a great venue (asides from food n drinks) and keeping things going.
I don't want to cut everybody's flaming about TX, my player shoutouts for BB and GG are posted on dustloop here

Except your learning experience was at SOGO, I believe I told you everything you needed to know for how to efficiently run a tournament, and yet TX turned out the same as the first 2 hours of SOGO did. You pulled the "I'm still learning" card during SOGO where you openly accepted help when things were out of control. At TX, I dunno what kind of ego trip you were running, but you seriously thought that you could do it all by yourself. You even posted that you thought you could do it yourself.
I don't understand how the best choice you made at SOGO became the biggest mistake made at TX. Maybe you thought YOU were the reason SOGO ran smoothly.
*Hint: SOGO had roughly 5-6 directors once you realized it was too much for you to handle by yourself. And everything after the first 2 hours of SOGO ran perfectly.

Anyways, the venue was nice. What kinda bugged me was the fact that 3s CLEARLY had a strong demand and that it was still stuck with the single smallest tv, while other games with like 8 people playing had 2 bigger ones..
As I told your brother numerous times that friday had an equipment shortage due to ppl deciding not to bring their shit. We can't make equipment magically apear.
I had to bring in 5 tvs and call in some favours from ppl cuz others can't keep commitments.
3s had the 2nd smallest turnout for teams. If you're talking about that one group in the corner with the 2 tvs thats SC.
SCIV tvs were donated by the SC community. They agreed to bring equipment only for SC so you have to horour that. Same for BlazBlue. I like 3s too, but there was no way I would have pulled a tv from sf4 for it.
noodle. we knew mtl had ps3s...JS told them to bring it to toronto. We just didnt have enough tvs to use them till late sat/sun

OK let's settle up on a couple of things. I'm pretty sure there are a few pieces to the puzzle that people aren't aware of:
- For people who don't know the ins and outs on the business end, the banquet hall was still being cleaned up when Stephen and company arrived there to set up shop. I don't see how this is his fault. I guess we could have played at the other banquet hall that someone else happened to book for TX?
- The team tournaments were slow at the end. Matches had to be delayed. It's kinda hard when JS Master is in the Winners Finals of every game? and then maybe Losers Finals after? And eventually in the Grand Finals of every game? Their hands were tied in that regard.
- I know a few people are not big on the "tournament starting late". Like every tournament, they wanted to start on time. It didn't pan out, life goes on.
Thanks Stephen for running TX. and JS as well. I dont really care how long someone takes to play a match. Winners finals of SF4 teams took fucking forever to start. Oh yeah wait, that's cuz you and I were playing SF3 teams

First off, MAJOR props to Dark Dragon. Thanks again for stepping to the plate and running another T Tourny. This is only the second one under your belt, i'm positive the next one will be ran awesome. You are the most fucking OG TOSF player EVER. Even more OG then Marvin.
Also major props to everyone that helped with directing. I don't know all your names so i don't want to start typing any names and missing some. But you guys all know who you are, thanks for everything.
Good seeing Montreal come down strong, fuck Vaesna for beating JS and making me lose money.
Shoutouts to all my TO boys, Blitzman, SpiralGuy, Jack, JS and the whole lovegety crew. Much love to all y'all.
The Sauga crew, Jigga, Gerjay, Teddy, Buddah, Chaos2D, GuileGuy, Lord, Cito and the rest of you guys, it was nice seeing all of you again and seeing Marvel being played again.
Major props to all the other Toronto players that stepped up their SF4 game. Ryan (the non-Spiral Guy Ryan) that was on Marvin's team for SF4 is too beast. Noodleman is too beast.
Props to everyone for showing up.

I had a sick idea on the train today. Do a team invitational at a northern location. Rent cabins by the lake, bring a projector, and play for 10K by a bonfire all through the night, drinking and eating til you pass out.
Money is raised for the first 10 months using Google AdWords and PayPal donation. The teams are flown using the raised money. The main site (GTA) raises enough money for the cabins and food.
$100 entree per person, that's $300 per team. You have motivation for people to come (remember, trip is essentially free), and since it would be a chill environment, and not some steamy arcade or hall, an excellent experience is pretty much guaranteed.
I call it Cabin Fever.

This was my first T event in the SF scene and I'd like to give my perspective on this very fun but exhausting weekend. Shoutouts to everyone I spoke to and met, please forgive me I'm really bad with names but I'll do the best I can to remember them as I go.
Wilson: Keep on whoring that Ken
Danny: You Rufus will always beast me
Big_Greek: I thought you'd be smaller
Psychochronic: We'll smoke again soon, good teaming with you too man. We had it tough.
Mosh: Just play your game and fuck what anyone else says
Proteus: Stick with Sagat lol
Dan from London: Cool you came out and saw the scene. I hope the rain didn't make you too homesick
Darthpaul: Always a pleasure talking with ya reguardless of how you are online
Arturo "Sabin" Sanchez: The most chilled person ever and casuals at your hotel room has made me wiser and a more smarter player in the furture. Pleasure meeting you and good luck in your future tourneys.
"Bob Sagat": I forgot your name dude I feel so bad cause your cool as hell, pm me.
Will: don't worry about the guy who tried to fight you at beerfest, they're mostly idiots.
To the sauga peeps: we gotta casual more if you guys let/tell me
To the dude who drove me to my place on Saturday night: I always forget your name I'm sorry bro, but I can't thank you enough for that ride.
To the Guile player with the Sonic Boom hat: Your Guile is sick bro, keep playing him
Team STC - Losing to you guys first round doesn't feel so bad when you guys made it all the way to the finals, good stuff
To the Montreal guys - No matter how you look at it whether we be friend or rivals, your still Street Figthers. Always looking for the next fight and proving who is the best.
Neorussel, directors and staff: You guys always do your best to help the community and we can't thank you enough.
RXS/Vince: For an event as big as this, you did your best and I still had a great time. My only complaint is the wait times for the fights. Live and learn I guess, just be more prepared for the unexpected.
For anyone else that I've forgotten (and I know I have) but we hung outside or wherever, this was one of the best weekends I've had all this summer and one to remember for a while.
My Fuerte game is always evolving as it has it's ups and downs but I always give me best. Sadly hence it's on a trial and error basis hence no other chefs to trade recepies with. See you guys next tourney!

Also my co-director also dropped out at the last minute (however when i was notified i thought i would be okay, so this is not his fault). However he was there that night and would have saw how things were going and chose not to step up and help even though he is more experienced than i am (not giving names here, so don't ask).
RXS
I was the one that dropped out last minute. And I did so because I didn't want to be bothered with directoring at my retirment party. I wanted to have a few drinks (thanks stephen for driving my ass around while i sobered up) and relax and chill, just like everyone else.
Anyways since TX was my (semi)-retirement party so I didn't really care too much for the actual tournament / games, although I still wanted to do well in SF4 Teams (fuck you Teddy our match was too close.. and ggs Brett, you rose has hella leveled up. good shit on sticking with her since day 1)
Good seeing mtl crew again, sorry that we couldn't get any games in.
Vince I do infact have some suggestions and if you are willing to read them I will PM them to you.

Grats to Sabin on winning sf4 singles, I had a good time chatting a bit with you and your friend Bob Saget I believe his name was...
Thank you to all those I forgot to mention, I had a good time with everyone : )
Hopefully I can come to T11 and have a bit better of an experience, and maybe not place last next time around :D
This was bad, I'm not shitting on anyone because I don't understand their circumstances and why they had an equipment shortage, but it was not a good showing, especially to those who came from out of town.
This tourney has the potential to draw a lot of people from the northeast(NY new england<--same driving distance) and some of the northern mid-west(chicago michigan), hopefully the planning for T11 starts very soon or this will just be another ontario tourney.
not trying to shit on anyone, again.

Can we please ask Wizard for an IP ban now?
I don't know about everyone else, but I had fun at TX. Yeah it was long, and things didn't start on time, but I planned on coming all 3 days anyway, so it wasn't that big of a deal.
SFIV teams was a joke. The sheer amounts of scams and controversies was a complete travesity, and overall it was a complete waste of time. I think team tournaments should be reconsidered for the next T event, maybe run them on the last day, if time permits.
It was great seeing the Montreal crew again. Especially all the vets from back in the day. Great matches with Harmony and Karamba. Karamba, I'll get you next time :-)
Toronto needs more hype. There were way more GTASF people than Mtl people, but you wouldn't know it.
Thanks to Stephen and JS for running TX. This is the real deal. To take a loss for running a Street Fighter tournament for the people? That's the truth right there. FUCK YOU A&C, THIS IS THE REAL WAY TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY. Take your fucking scam pots and shove them up your asses.
Team Hammer: Good seeing you guys again. Always fun hanging out with people in the same age group as me. Too bad you guys couldn't come Saturday and Sunday. You guys would of won ST teams and ST singles for free. KBBQ ruined me btw.
Nagata: Keep on trucking man. Thanks for pushing me to start my diet. If all else fails, just remember: two fingers down the throat is your best friend :-) And give me my monies. :-p
Big_Greek: I'm suing you for false advertising. Ask Temujin for his genes or something. And give me my monies :-p
Davero: Good seeing you again. Tacos were great, need to have them again. I hope I didn't cock block you. Actually, I hope I did. Secret sf4 guild son.
Blitzman: Where's your hat?
Manaboy: Did you finally get your kbbq?
Sabin: It was fun seeing you play. Can't you miss a link once in awhile? And where's my cookie crisps!!!!
EX-Matt: Fuck you. I hope you burn your face off.
JayWang: Don't retire. Just go to camp and come back. And make money off of the new Sagat bible.
Team STC: My future neighbours + stephen - tony :-) you guys need to show me how to free load like Ian and Wing :-) Fuck you Ian for raping me. I'm pregnant BTW.
Nguman: I hope you learned a lot from watching everyone play. Remember, you're the future. Stop scamming people with viet sandwiches.
Noodleman: Thanks for making the shepearl shirt possible.
Anyway, see you all at TXI

ST single result:

3 - Karamba ( O.ken, Ryu) Montreal

Causation, or mere correlation?
Jokes aside, I'm sorry to hear that the tourney wasn't as great as it could have been. Best thing we can hope for is that it gets better every year. Thanks for the hard work, Stephen and JS et al.

It's shout out time!
Blade2BME: Solid pick up team for all of the five minutes we considering making a team. Hollas to Brandon for OCVing with butt slams. You get the Cadillac El Dorado. Hollas to Fareed for holding it down and telling his ST team to fuck off for two minutes. That's dedication to a five dollar price tag.
Team Korea: Blade 1 wins this time. But there will always be other chances to stand up for Wesley Snipes' far superior film. Balling match and one of the very few matches that had any hype on Friday, even if it was only us making the noise.
Team Hammer: Nice rumbling with you. Good match. Jaime is an asshole and can take his Chun and go to hell. Heartbreaking bastard. Hope to play you again at some point :)
Team New Guywall: Scams are best when it's not you getting fucked over. 'Nuff said yes?
Team Sauga: I pause fights IRL. I stand by Jay's broken stick fucking me out of a victory. Good round nonetheless. Nothing worse than getting OCV'd by a scumbag. Baaaahah.
Harmoni: You fucked a hole in my ass with your Abel. Back dash on wake up is the truth.
Friday Night Bus Crew: Hope you guys got home alive. Last train out is risky business. Fuck Warden TTC service.
Sauga: Good chilling as usual. See you when I see you.
Noodle: Next time we'll learn how to play before we play each other again. No tourny win means no win at all. lol.
Kin: Saturday was proof of purchase you don't know when you are trolling. Just ask Arcade Whips.
Dennis: Nice guest appearance Saturday. Drunken promises net no daros. Better luck next time.
Dinoz: Best SC4 advice ever. I haven't had a ring out against me in 30 matches.
Hollas to anyone in the IRC channel that I got a face to a name. Apologizes if you expected someone more Greek or Big. Hollas to everyone else I met whom I've forgotten to mention.

TX was a blast.
Thanks to JS,Dark Dragon and Neo for putting shit together.
TX was set up for T.O and MTL to have a good time. I would say this was done.
Most out of towners bailed or didn’t show. Maybe MTL scared them away after Friday. So talk pas shit.
1st off, shout outs to myself for placing 7th in singles. That keeps my streak of placing top 9 in all my Ontario tourneys (6). Has anyone else done this?
STC….We proved again that we are the best Group of fighters in GTASF. Good shit JS in OWNING UP countless MTL players. I would list all the MTL players you beat in actual tournament matches, but I would run out of room typing it.
C-Royd…thanks for coming down and beasting in teams. I know you would have done well if you joined singles. At least you got to witness the destruction of MTL on Sunday at T10.
AdamB.. Good shit in 3S. Always great to see you play. Thanks for coming to JS’s and chilling with us. Hope you didn’t get a ticket.
JDK…don’t know what happened to you Sat and Sun. But it’s all good. I know being in a relationship can cause more important priorities in life.
R1Beatdown.. Great seing you and Alpha. Wish you could have came all 3 days. Your always welcome to play with us.
Davero…Thanks for letting me use your TE. Good shit. Its always chills with you and glad you came out.
JayWang. Always nice to see you. Glad you got drunk. Don’t retire. SF4 dash that shit.
Dice.. Good seeing you. Thanks for coming down to Days in and chilling with us and MTL.
Blitzman..Dont remember seeing you Sat and Sun…but good shit fucking things up Friday. No doubt the best Rufus in Canada
Spiral guy…GGs in single…you are right…blanka is limited. Hope to chill and smoke with you in the future and trade stratagies.
Big Greek.. you are quite the character…and I mean that it a good way. Hands down the shapest dress guy at T10…glad you made it down
Ritchie…Wholly shit….your top tier…..just had to play good players early. Glad you came out and chilled with STC. Your mad cool. Thanks for going halves with me on the coronas.
Kin…Good shit in teams..I didn’t wanna play you in singles. But it worked out. Still the best Gen player I have ever played. Look forward to you moving to Scarborough and perhaps joining STC?
Vince.. Good shit running SF4..i know it was hard. So many ppl are friends and considered good players that they are going to complain about the brackets. Just ignore them. Its just a game.
Mahir..Glad to see you..wish we got to play tho…maybe on psn. Too bad no tekken.
Chyna…Thanks for the hook ups and chilling with me. Hope your hand gets better.
Dino…thanks for the hook up and chilling with me. Fuck socal up next time.
DMC..You guys are hardcore. Kinda remind me of STC. Thanks for letting me use your TE and for chilling with me. Good shit beating MTL in teams.
MTL crew
Gonna start off by giving a shout outs to Mao and Prez even tho you guys couldn’t make it. I totally understand. You guys are still my boys. Im sure we will chill with you guys again in the future.
Chi Rithy…Everyone please welcome STC’s newest member. Toujour du fun chilling avec toi. Good shit avec 3S singles. Ton Chun et Monster dans les 2 jeux. Cetais fun de te jouer. congrats on becoming STC
Tall Zombie…Good shit coming 5th in SF4. Too bad we didn’t have a MAT rematch. Next time maybe. Fun chilling with you.
Arcade Kid. Glad you made it down. Nice bike. Was fun chilling and drinking with you. Hope the rain didn’t mess you up Sunday. You need to come to more tourneys to make some noise.
HVE..thanks for chilling with STC. Hope ur train trip went smooth
Will..Nice chilling with you and thanks for the Blanka tips. Next time leave that whistle at home cause you qont get to use it.
Heero..Good shit at T10. Mad fun drinking with you. MM and side bets were fun. Cant wait till we chill again.
Smokey..Thanks for the beers again. Sorry for the beer store not being 24 7. I am definitely down for coming down for your birthday. Keep us informed
Temujin…Good shit at T10 and love G. Beast Gief. Hope you enjoed owning up JS’s washroom.
Fred..Always a pleasure chilling with you. Wish we could have played more and you stayed an extra night. But its all good. Next time.
Harmoni..Dash super FTW? Wow. Im glad you made it down. Fun chilling and playing you. Look forward to chilling again.
Karamba….Good shit at T10…you stepped up your game from MAT even tho you was good then to. Watch out for Wing’s wake up uppercut.
Manaboy. . Nice Cammy. Was fun chilling andhope u enjoy your psp. We have to MM next time.
Payback..Glad you made it down..Wish we could have chilled more and hit the casino. I couldn’t really go because I wanted to drink after tourney. Hope you got your Sogu
Korean BBQ was the shit. It was my 1st time going to a KBBQ. Thanks for that experience guys. Drinking and playing SF4 was mad cool with you guys. I am down for coming to MTL with STC just to play and drink when we all can organize something.
T.O did place higher than MTL in 4 tho. So eat that shit and like it!!!!!!!!lol
WHOS HOUSE IS IT?
Sauga Brampton and Hamilton…Good seeing you guys Friday. I know some of you have legit reasons for not being there Sat and Sun, but the rest…. I don’t know where you guys were the rest of the days, We all knew singles was carrying over to Sunday. So whats the deal? Hope MTL didn’t scare you guys away. Regroup and go back to the drawing boards.
Sabin..I don’t know what to say about your Seth and Sim. Good shit. I was the blanka player that hit you with the hop ultra followed up by hop cross up chip super for the win at love ghetty. Hope to see you next year.
I know am forgetting some PPLS because Arcade Legend is chill with everyone. So shout outs to all the cats I chilled or played with. Always holla at me. Im down like that.

I should've went to this. My car broke down just when I was about to leave. Oh well there is a thing called next year. I will be better than anyone else there when I come next year or any other big event the GTA is planning to have. I want to be part of this next year for sure. The pics you have of us are going to change next year. You will see a brand new Johnson brothers in the near future. We will be back and take on T11 or EVO 2KX (EVO 2010). For now I got only two words to tell you all:
KYO KUSANAGI!!!
Remember this and when you see us you will know. Thank you for the pics to TX and video of the matches at TX. It was awesome to see Justin Wong and Daigo Umehara there. Excellent event!! I have to admit it but it was a good place to have it there. See you in the near future amigos!! Until then, the online world is where the Johnsons will be.

Hey everyone, it's Dan from London here. Just wanted to say hi to everyone I met. In particular:
My teammates Bill and Yang: I wasn't expecting to compete in the team tournament, so thank you for for letting a shitty Vega player who you'd never met before onto your team. I was glad to hear you guys did better in your other games than we did in SFIV.
Ryan and the NYC crew: You have got to be the safest guys I've met. Thanks again for the lift and everything else.
Other Dan: It was fun chatting with you. Hope I didn't bore you too much with my tales from back home.
Paul: Always good to meet another Brit abroad. Take it easy fella.
Adam: Cheers for all the info on the Toronto scene. Also, I probably owe you about a dollar's worth of lighter fluid, so thanks for that too.
Marvin: Sick English accent fella! Bare jokes innit, blaytant!
I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention someone but I met so many safe people it was a little overwhelming! If any of you guys are ever in London, let me know and I can show you what our scene is like.
