[Tekken 6] How can I customize the rage?

I see we can customize the rage of a character in the customization section. But I already got the platinum trophy and tried to finish the Azalel level in hard difficulty in the campaign mode and completed the arcade mode in ultra hard difficulty, we can't buy the rage customization but I still don't get how we can have it.

i'm not a 100% sure on this but I think you can only customize rage in SC mode

are you talking about the Auras? or just items that give rage boosts in SC mode?

cause yea as tanner said, the Rage buffs are only for SC mode.

It's in the 'profile' > 'customize' > chose a character > 'XP Model' > equip > there is a category named 'Rage' just between 'Effect' and 'Aura'.

I don't see why there is a rage category if we can't chose it.

I just got some rank S and A items and customized Raven with some items he collected when I played the two levels in normal difficulty with him, and the level is pretty easy.

you can customize rage by getting a Lucky in a roulette and receiving a new rage color if it gives it to you.

I know you can because I played arcade and one of my friend IC cards got a new rage color from getting a lucky then getting an item.

roulette's always been a random thing...though lately my Lee's been getting roulette's all the damn time i've played rank.

lucky leads to super roulette where uh...I get lost there. I assume more money depending on the "RUSH" you get lined up. but there boxes in the super roulette that I assume leads to an item?

Yes , thats exactly what happens. If they match up you get a random rare item or rage color. Not to mention , You can get items in SC mode that you cant buy lol.

After a ranked match or in arcade mode, you can use your 2 controllers to play against a human. I got some 'lucky' in the past, and had many roulettes in a row, but never a new rage. :sad:

you can get roulette pretty much anywhere in offline and online mode. I get them almost all the time in Ghost data after awhile. Just play a good long run of Ghost data and roulettes will start poppin out of nowhere.

i just got the black rage. it took me 3 hours of roulettes to get it . lolllll google search tekken, 6 roulette trick & u will find a video on how to do it. or use Only 1 character in ghost & play untill u get a flashing red bar on top of your life bar,when u start a battle with the flashing red light bar, quit ghost mode ( it will auto save the red bar/ roulette bar). NOW go back into ghost mode with the same character and u will have. when u win roulette will play. NOW if u fail to hit the lucky so u can get the super roulette so u can try to hit 3 treasure chest in a row , You have to quit the whole game with the PS button thus restarting the game and trying again. remember when u quit the whole game u will have roulette bar waiting for u in ghost battle. if u hit a lucky and hit rushes in super roulette , rushes mean u get a few free roulette games after each battle win or lose , u can keep winning battles and try ing to get the 3 treasure chest, but after a while u will have to quit and start over again unless u hit more rushes. when u hit 3 treasure chest u will have a random rage waiting for u in costomization mode. when u hit the 3 chest , u can just quit ghost mode ( press start to quit so it auto saves ). if u want more rages u just have to pick a character and play untill u get another red flashing bar on top of your life bar to start over again. woww sorry for the long tip lol. just watch the video. I heard u can get fire rage, lightening rage, ice rage, black rage. i only seen black and fire rage on videos. it will take u forever to hit 3 treasure chest to unlock seceret rages so good luck and get ready to use up many hours to get it. ohhh blue flashing bar on top of your life bar means roulette also. red flashing bar means 1st player get roulette game and blue flashing bar means 2nd player gets a roulette game , so u can be playing online and your opponent could get a roulette when they win also. if u ever lose with the flashing bar, i think u play roulette before u hit continue. ok.

While we are on the topic of rage customisation, has anyone found out how to get black ki? It isn't available for purchase like aura and from what I've read it isn't available as a reward through roulette either. Is it even in the console version of the game? The black ki looks sick but I don't think it's available on the console version because I've never heard of anyone having or unlocking it. I'd rather have black ki than custom rage colors.

I saw black ki while just sitting there watching the cpu fight itself after the intro. The ki is where it looks like energy's coming off the characters, right? If so, then definitely black ki. It looked like black smoke.

That is black ki alright, has a smoky look to it looks way better than the auras or other kis imo. Well if it is viewable in game it should be obtainable somehow, namdai couldn't have tripped again with this as well, right? Maybe it is awarded when you get the platinum trophy for 100 percent completion?

No way. I've already mastered the game 1000 / 1000 on the 360 and I didn't get anything for it besides achievement points. If black ki can be viewed in the game then that gives us hope. Maybe it's one of the last items you receive from the super roulette after you've unlocked the rest of the rage colors.

That is also a negative, I've read a post from tekkenzaibatsu with people claiming to have gotten all the rage colours but no black ki. I'm now wondering if it becomes available after purchasing all auras and kis as well as attaining all rage colours for that character. I'm basing this on the fact that I only noticed the capeless option for 1p Lars after purchasing his shirtless customisation. There is after all an empty square in the customisation tray that can contain the elusive black ki. Hoping that it isn't just all wasteful conjecture.

Ah... the elusive rage colors. Last one has something to do with lightning, after which (in the arcade at least), it's generally a crap load of money, or the elusive secret ki's.

Good luck. My arcade IC card has over 1000 matches, and I've earned millions, but I only have up to the fire rage.

There is also some sort of "smoke" ki btw (no, not the default type in black - I mean puffs of smoke coming off the character). I played against a Paul that had it in the arcade - guy even changed his IC card name to "Smokey the Bandit", LOL. I dunno if smoke ki is a paul exclusive, or one of the elusive ki's though.

Well, the talk around the arcades is that the roulette items are always the rage items first. Nobody has had a different experience yet from what I've heard (or read on Zaibatsu). AFTER you get the rage sets, then the stories change. I know somebody who only gets money (automatic 1M G's in the arcade) from the item boxes after he completed the rage sets. Then of course, there's the "smokey" dude I played against.

Oddly though, he only had about 450-500 plays (something 300 wins+, 150+ losses), so was he able to obtain all the rage items in that time? Or was the black smoke thing just a super lucky special item? Or did he play against somebody who 1) had roulette, and 2) had completed the rage sets, and 3) won the smoke lucky item (since roulette wins can be shared in the arcade). I honestly have no idea.

I was just about to explain it in my own words but then I found a thread in Tekken Zaibatsu that already had it so I'm just going to quote it:


I found a trick to unlock rage items faster on the ps3 version of t6. I haven't tried it on 360, but I imagine it would still work. Since I haven't found any posts on this yet I thought I'd share it.

If you already know how roulette works you should just skip ahead to THE TRICK.

After 10 fights total (wins+losses), a character will get a roulette. After a character's first roulette, they should get a another one every 40 fights.

If the final bar of the roulette is "lucky", they'll get a super roulette. If they line up three treasure chests horizontally in super roulette, they'll unlock a new rage color and get a roulette after their next fight.

Add up the wins and losses of the character you want to unlock rage items for. Then figure out how many times they'll have to fight before they get a roulette.

Like I said before, after 10 fights you'll get them every 40 fights.
Example: 10, 50, 90, 130, 170, 210 etc... (hopefully I did my math right). Now, on to...

THE TRICK

Fight with your character until you have only one match to go before your next roulette, then exit to the T6 main menu and let the game save.

Next, do a ghost battle. At the end of the match, don't skip the replay. Instead, press the PS button and go to "quit game" and press x. Move the cursor to yes, but don't push anything yet.

Watch the roulette. If you don't get super roulette and 3 treasure chests horizontally, press x to quit the game in the xmb before the next match starts, then go back and try it again.

I think the colors you get are random, so if you don't get the color you want, just do another fight. As long as you got the 3 treasure chests horizontally, you should get another roulette on your next fight.

This trick may still take a while to finally unlock the rage colors, but it's much faster than the alternative.

I swear to god - I hit lucky last night but the super roulette did not come up.

A minute ago.. it landed on something.. not lucky, but a flying saucer went across the wheel and flew off the screen to the top right corner. Just now.. a goddamn airplane flew around on the screen. Wtf does this mean??

If an object flies across the screen it is telling you your roulette rush is ending. Plane means you have approximately 4-5 matches of roulette left, ufo means 10-15 and stars means 16-20. I've read that a car can also appear in the arcade version signifying a paltry 2 matches or so, however I haven't seen this myself on console yet.

Thanks. But its strange. Cuz I got the UFO.. then the plane appeared in the roulette after the match immediately following.. and my rushes continued for more than 5 matches. More like 10. Maybe cuz I had won two sets of rushes previously. I dunno.

Why can't they just say "5 rushes remaining" or something? Why they gotta be so weird? I thought I'd won something. >_>

They all stack on previous rushes that you have gained, once I got the plane from a previous rush ending and two matches later the stars appeared. It is strange, but you just have to take into account all your previous rushes in your current streak. Hope that clears things up.

Im not 100% sure if this is the way to get black ki but some people have stated thats how to do it and thats all i can go by, i still dont have it and ive been trying for fucking weeks to get it in roulette.:sad:

Play GhostBattle until Roulette is enabled (top left blinks red), then do the Roulette Schtick and work your way to the desired Rage color.
