HELP. I need chibi icons for ALL cvs2, mvc2, 3s characters

I edited my original post with a sample.

I need images that are the same size and style. I think these things are originally from SNK vs. Capcom, then people started making other characters in the same style.

Anyway, pocket fighter gif's won't work. Please check the sample.

here are a few GGXX sprites. Chipp, Sol, Ky, Potemkin, Johnny are finished, Dizzy and May are not (duh).

Personally, i like this style of chibi sprites a lot, and i'm gonna try to make em all eventually (well, all the ones that haven't been done, like Baiken and Faust)

if possible, i'll try to do MVC2, Samurai Showdown, Last Blade, 3S, and maybe KOF

but i need a little help:
-does anyone know where i can get screens for some of these games (specifically, i'm doing standing animations facing right, making corrections for things that are different between someone facing left and someone facing right ex: Cammy's scar and Dizzy's wings)?

-does anyone know a good color tuturial online? Picking colors is the hardest part when i make these things, and getting some help would really help

well, i'm not completely satisfied with doom and dhalsim yet, so that may change

edit: ok, i have a noob-ish question regarding color, for some reason, my gifs dont use the full gamut of colors available to gifs, i have no idea why this is

i've been limited to like 2 pale shades of green, you can see the effect on tron's robot and doom's cape, does anyone know why this occurs and what i can do to stop this?

you mind sharing the wisdom, cuz that would help me fit the guidelines better (i just looked at others and had to guess it out basically)

Wel, The geki doesnt fit the NGPC Style because his hand with the claws gets larger to acomidate the claws. If you want to see a real NGPC Geki then this is one that is closer to the style in the attachment, althought I couldnt make the dlaws very detailed and animation is fairly hard because the black outline makes it look a bit pixelized if not done corectly. So I used the cheap style but it fits Gekis Posture.

No body parts should be bigger than the other, Look at all official NGPC Sprites. They all have the same proportions, The hands, the feet, all generally the same sizes.

I already said the 3 Shades for ever different color. This includes 3 shades for the Skin, Clothes Colors, And Items it has with it. Look at Geki in PSP or Photoshop and youll see that it has 3 different shades of color for each color.

Right now Im on a different computer and it has a virus to where the RPC Shuts down, so I stopped it from shutting down the computer but this virus has not been discovered and cannot be rid of. about the color comment, yea, looking at some sprites, it seems that doing it with 3 shades makes the color contrasts stand out a lot, and i like that, however, i am not very good at picking colors (i'm on a Linux system using the GIMP so i dont know how to choose colors effetively) When i get back to college i'll have photoshop on my comp, so please give color choosing hints for either GIMP or photoshop

does anyone know a way to choose colors that stand out a good deal like the NGPC sprites on that japanese page a few pages back?

edit: sorry, i'm not the guessing game kind of fellow, so i'll pass, doesn't look like a NGPC sprite tho...

Tip: Good way to get the colors is to take them off of sprites themselves. Gekis colors were taken right off of his SF1 Sprite.

also, after looking at my sprites and teh sprites it seems like the other sprites have way bigger heads than the majority of my sprites (and smaller bodies), so i'm going to try to revamp my sprites to better fit teh style

ok, i changed most of the sprites around some

but the biggest change is...
i added sprites that were posted before into the mix to see how well they meshed together. i'm fairly happy with the effect, though some work still needs to be done

guess which ones werent made by me (should be easy if u've been following this thread)

anyways, another thing is that i split the sprites into 2 files in order to get around that problem with the color green i posted a while back (i dont know why it works, it just does), so now, its a zip file

funny, when i dl the zip file from the forums, the bg is transparent, hm... are you using an image editing program like photoshop or paint shop pro? i think those can see the tranparency (i'm using the GIMP on my laptop running linux, so i dunno)

but i'll do it once it cools down some i guess, though my immediate plans were to do some of my fav characters for alpha (guy, gen), and recolor a few SamShow and LB2 sprites, i'll add recoloring gill to the end of that list

alright, i revised quite a few MVC2 sprites, though you might not be able to see much difference, trust me, they're there. i edited my old post to now have the new file so go re-dl it if u want

and to show that i'm not dead...

here's what i've been working on

haohmaru, setsuna, and kazuki are edits (MAJOR edits)
gen and guy were made from scratch

eh... i dont see what's to be gained from doing that

i'm doing the chibi characters cuz they look cool, but a chibi power meter seems... well... kinda useless, u can easily just edit a regular power meter, and use that. (shorten it some, make it thinner, and re-write the level number, and you're set)

I got Photoshop and Image- ready for free to turn pics into frames and frames into gifs.

I don't think you can get any free drafting or animation programs legally.
