terry strats anyone?

im in need of some help wit my terry, i mean combos, seyups whatever any help will do man thanxx in advance

some good combos:

s.hp(2 hits),crack shoot
c.mk, crack shoot
s.hp(2 hits), light burn knuckle
s.hp(2 hits), buster wolf, light burn knuckle
s.hp(2 hits), buster wolf(lv1 or lv2), power geiser(lv1)
you can replace most of these with 2x c.lk.
you can do jump-ins to start combo.


crack shoot, rising tackle are good anti-airs (i think also s.hp/c.hp)
s/c.mk, s.hk, c.hp are good pokes.
dont shoot out random burn knuckles.
power dunk is not a good thing to use often(if ever).
i cant really remember much else.

Cool info, XStatic: I didn't realize you could do a Crackshoot after the 2-hit hp with Terry, since everyone seems to do the Light Burn Knuckle, but maybe if you want to start the combo with the trusty jump-in hk, the Crackshoot will be too far away, so that's they the BK with wp comes into play.

I saw this weird C-Groove combo and I need to check it again, but basically it was:

Jump-in, 1-2 hits on the ground, level-1 Buster Wolf, level-2 Power Geyser, Burn Knuckle.

I used jump-in hk, 1-2 crouching LPs, and the jp-BK to make it work. It's not that hard either! The timing is a bit odd for the Geyser to connect, as you don't want to start the rotation too sooner, or it won't come out because the game won't register your attempt to do it.

I just think the combo's weird because you can do a level-1 into a level-2, as opposed to doing it in the opposite order!

It's too bad Terry's probably better in N-Groove, since he's kinda good at rushdown, I guess...running in with low mp, but I'm only considering using Terry right now...

you can switch c.mk into c.mp or whatever in the combos i posted before. same with switching light BK into medium (cept for the buster wolf combo, i think).

S.Fierce (2 hits) into burning nuckle is much better than comboing into crap shoot because it knocks the opponent down. S.Fierce (2hits) xx crap shoot is better as a blocked string.

On characters with a "fat" hit box you can do S.Fierce (2 hits) df.Fierce (1 hit) xx burning nuckle. Example of characters are Terry, Raiden, Zangief, Rolento.

you can do (2) db. fierces if the timing is right i think againts bigger characters too like sagat....so yea (2) db. fierces into a buster wolf.


(2) db.fierces, lvl1 BW, lvl2 PG (timed) . BK (C groove)

Here's my favorite super combo with the N-Groove (all three power gages must be filled)

Fwd + FP (Garunteed 2 Hits), (Buffered In) Lvl. 3 Buster Wolf, (buffered) Lvl. 1 Power Geyser.

It's a beautiful 9 Hit combo that sends newbs packing

Here is a cool way to punish Blanka's ball with an A-groove Terry.


Try to be kind of far from blanka so you can punish his annoying ball. When he does his ball and it's coming towards you activate the A-groove power and then............


High Punch, Crack shoot, down + High kick, burning knuckle (with medium punch), down +High kick, burning knuckle, (should be in corner by now), standing High kick and then "Buster Wolf" and last but not least, burning knuckle or crackshoot or anything............

Try to estimate the number of down + High kicks, burning knuckles.............this is a pretty cool combo that I invented. I did it the first time by mistake, when I accidently activated the A-groove when blanka's ball was coming towards me.

a really good combo that I do with terry is this : jump-in RH, c.HP, c.MP, (lev.1) buster wolf, (lev.2) power geyser and time your oponent when coming down and do a burning knuckle MP or HP, this combo is hard to do but it hits, and can be done in midscreen.

yep. I don't use that combo because I am lazy, instead of linking the crouch fierce into the crouch forward, it's easier to just do a stand fp. The thing is, they can block both of those high so you're really doing the same thing, by the time you crouch fierce and it's blocked it's highly unlikely they'll not block low and get hit by the crouch forward.

btw, if you manage to combo them into the corner, try whiffing a jab Burn Knuckle real quick after the second hit of the Power Geyser and juggling with either a Rising Tacke or a Power Dunk.

Timing is a little tricky. Flashy and nice damage though

My chun is annoying to you, I can tell when we are playing! hahahaha You can use your Blanka, Bison, Cammy P-groove whenever you want. You just beat the hell out of me that day because first of all it wasn't my day and because I am used to jump and jump! I fall by myself. I don't want to be in the corner just waiting! You know that's not fighting! My team also varies! In tournamets I use Ryu, Terry, Ken C-groove. For casual I use whatever comes to mind! I knew that combo with Chun! I just don't wanna give away my combos at the arcades! By the way, you'll see that combo in my video! and my combo with Ken that I am pretty sure you haven't seen! THere are several combos with Ken and Terry. Some combos in A-groove you have seen! My video will be up and running in about 3 weeks. Just one hit more, and I knew it too. The MExican site doesn't have like really good combo vids for Cvs2 I know that, but for other games they are the shit. If you want to perform hard combos, try to do Kim's infinite or kyosuke's. I just wanna play you again. I have seen most of the combos you can think of. see you around man. The truth is most of the combos I now I have done them and I actually have thought them my self ask anyone there, if someone does the same Its probably already out but I didnt see it anywhere like U...... and the sakura one I thought of it myself I didnt see it in no vid.....

I would love to see U do the kyosuke or kim's combo at least once and if I cant do them its only because I dont use those 2 characters....kim is ok and just ok but kyosuke sucks just like U........

Your combo starts with a jumping attack that requires you to block high. Your next hit is a crouch fierce that can be blocked high as well. The next hit is crouch forward that must be blocked low. So if they block high the whole time, you'll hit them with c.mk -> super -> super cancel -> juggle, but they'll block the first two hits.

Chances are, this will never happen though as people usually start blocking low after a jumping attack out of instinct. That's what I mean.

I accept that you owned me in Cvs1, but for Cvs2 it's different. Alrighty, I'll give a basic a lesson on combo mecahnics in Capcom games (not being an asshole, here).

There are two types of combos. A chain and a link. Morrigan's combos are chains. They are combo hits that cancel each other when you hit the button. Maki and Yun have the same kind of chain combos as well. A link is like Terry's crouch fierce into a crouch forward - you have to time it right for it to combo, and it's based on hitstun. The reason why those two hits combo is because the low fierce causes enough hitstun on the opponent so that you can squeeze in a crouch forward before the opponent can do anything, and then from the crouch forward you can buffer a super.

Something like Terry's two hit standing fierce into his offensive crouch fierce (the uppercut) is also a chain, because you can cancel the stand fierce after the first hit if you like. Something like Chun Li's two hit Lightning Kick into a crouch mp is a link.

Now do you understand the terms I was using in my post with the Terry combos? You should be familiar with these terms if you play Capcom games and you're on SRK, so remember the characteristics. You'll probably hear them again.

i usually have terry as my point man lvl 1 ratio and on a n groove(C groove works well 2) but a rush down terry can be effective he has good pokes s lk, s mk d mk and d mp all work well for me.

also terry is a guard break beast. when blocked 3 hit FP into crack shot takes almost half then do it once more but end with a mp burn nuckle and it's gone. not as risky as it sounds if you set it up right.

and terry has some very good links off of counter hits like c FP>c FP busta wolf etc you can also change c FP to standing FP with is a lot flashier but you have to be closer i believe.

No it's not. Nothing will combo into his standing roundhouse it's ridiculously too slow.

And as for the last listed combo, if you're going to the corner, you might as well jab Burn Knuckle and juggle with a roundhouse Power Dunk.

Yep. It was one of Terry's first C Groove super cancel combos, it debuted when gamecombos.com put out combo videos.

Jumping rh -> stand fp (2 hits) XX Level 1 Buster Wolf -> Level 2 Power Geyser (should carry the body to the air in the corner) [super cancel] whiff jab Burn Knuckle -> RH Power Dunk.

You have to have both hits of the Power Geyser juggle and super cancel it into the jab Burn Knuckle immediately after the second hit juggles. You'll get it after a few tries.

I was able to pull that combo only once at the arcades, first try. It's very difficul now, have no clue why. There are several cool combos with terry like the following.

you need to be at mid screen, and the oponent/dummy in the other corner, then you go,

Power wave,

Jump fast and go,

High kick, standing + High punch, and lv1 Buster Wolf, then

Down + High Punch, then Power Geiser Lv2, and cancel that to crack shoot, or burning nuckle.

I pulled this combos just once, it's kind of complicated.


This is just my humble opinion.

Opponent/ Dummy in the corner (I prefer left hand corner)


Jump,

Landing + medium kick, down + low kick, down + low punch, down + low kick, standing low kick + Buster Wolf Lv1, Power Geiser Lvl2, before the second hit of the Power Geiser ends pull a burning knuckle (shouldn't hit the opponent), and last but not least a "POWER DUNK"

The combo is hard in the begining, because I added a low kick to this well known Terry Combo.


THis is just my humble opinion.
