For future accurances, it would be wise not to request sprites from characters who are already rippable from emulated games, that are available for download now.

OK im workin on the standing sprites for Jill and Tyrant. I am slow at this animation stuff so hang in there ill get em.

Is there any other method of ripping the character out of an image? I had a friend told me how in adobe photoshop with the magic wand but I completley forgot. It'll speed things up alot.

BTW. I am getting this through the Xbox with the dev kit (Thats why no 3S). If you want to know how to rip them, just let me know (you gotta be ready to open your xbox and solder some stuff. I wouldn't do this if you play this on XBL).

to use the m.wand, do this:

set the default bg color of the game ( if it's possible, which it does look like it, anyhow....) to Green or Pink.

select and set the m. wand: uncheck anti-aliasing, set Tolerance to let's say... 40 or so.

with m. wand selected, click the green space and hit delete. Go in for the touch ups, and wah lah. done. :)

also, if you want, just take each frame of the animation (ripped or still with the green bg, doesn't really matter) and send it over to SK, RHM, or myself, and we can animate it for you.

make sure to save the files .gif :p

The only problem is that EVERYONE's sprites will be ripped off at the bottom of the feet because of the lifebars. I can work around it by sticking their feet between them though (not Tyrant :().

There's no way that I know of. There might be some way to hack into it but thats beyond my knowleDge.

Geese Pants/EEK, sorry but I can't get those 2 win victories. I tried earlier today and they were hard to capture, since they barley came up and they were ALWAYS on the edge of the screen. If I had another controller, I could probably get them sucessfully, but now it's kinda hard. Sorry :(.

There are FEW NEW SPRITES FOR OLD CHARACTERS, but these are characters such as Thanos, and they are very minor changes, OTHER CHARACTERS SPRITES ALREADY LIKELY EXIST, ripping them would do nothing and would waste time.

Firstly, I ripped that Jill. Hence him saying RHM. Secondly, You have to ask SuupaBuu, He is the one that got the screenshots. We just rip them for enjoyment. So ask SuupaBuu if you can.

(As a suggestion, I think you should also do Cable pose after his qcb+p. Meaning after he grabs them and shocks them, he stands there with a very cool look on his face and his pose is excellent. If you don't touch any buttons he stays that way.)

Oh dear god. Under the assumption that post-CPS2 sprites could never be ripped, I have never bothered to check through this forum. Then I wander in one day and see all this.

I love collecting sprites. They're like little, virtual, collectible figurines. You guys are awesome, but bear in mind that despite anything I say, I will never be able to express how great this is.

I feel so bad requesting something; so much has been done already! Besides, a lot of MvC2 stuff can be ripped from the other games (which if I browse around the internet long enough, I should be able to rip myself). So I gotta ask for something, and that something is Jill's counter move where she pulls out the beretta and plugs 'em with a few shots.

Sakura's winpose where she extends her hand to the air and laughs happily. It has cherry blossoms this time over (obviously this is up to you folks as to whether it's worth extracting).

Morrigan's taunt, and more importantly the victory pose where she stands with her back turned to the player, and Lilth dangles from a chain attatched to the ceiling.

As for the new characters, if you leave Tron Bonne alone and don't press any buttons, she pushes one lever foward. This rotates the turrets on the left arm. Then she pushes another lever foward, causing the index finger located on the right hand's arm to gesture to her opponent to come closer. I love her face when she does that. Her time out pose (when she loses) is awfully endearing too.

You can rip them yourself.

As for Morrigan's taunt and victory pose, I don't believe they're present in Darkstalkers, but if they're available in MvC1 then my appologies (if it is, point them out to me, I can't find them anywhere).

Not exactly sprite rips (most of them will be covered when this whole thing is over anyways I'm guessing) but how about those "Vs" pics of the characters? There aren't any of on the web (except for a rare Sentinel one). You can catch them during the loading screen, but there are also bigger versions of them from when a character does their super.

That could be harder to do though since you want to make sure the character sprite isn't in front of it. So anyways, that's my request (mostly Jin, Wolverine, Cable, Storm, and Strider's.)

I must say I am impressed by the quality of the ripped sprites.

I also wanted to ask for a few sprites.

If possible, I would like to ask for Cable´s walking backwards animation, the knee animation and/or jump animation or anything else related to him.

Also, I wasn´t able to view some of the past posted images. I wonder if those gifs are still hosted somewhere else.

I also wanted to show a "franksprites" sheet, most of them based on Cyclops, since it´s kinda hard to rip something out of MVC2. These were made by me and some friends.

thx man, right now I´m cleaning some sprites from his standing weak kick (a friend of mine managed to record an .avi).

but the image itsn´t perfect you know, so it´s a pain in the @ss to clean up the sprites (they are kinda blurr)..

Actually...there is someone trying to rip stuff from the DC version of MvC2, and having some success...the sprites will be open source when done, so there's some good news.
