Okay, after reading more pages, I'm totally convinced I want to buy a stick. I also see that it takes some time to get these bad boys going, so even if I ordered one today, I probably wouldn't have it, or have it broken in by tournament time on March 6th. None the less, I want a stick. If I could draw, I'd send in some custom SC2 artwork, as it is, I'd like to see whatever default SC2 artwork you have.

To all you satisfied customers, do his PS2 sticks work fine with Gemeni adapters for Xbox, and Playcube adapters for GC? My games right now are SC2 and GGX2, but I usually play SC2 on my cube and sometimes on Xbox.

Dang I can't get over how sweet these sticks look. I also have no knowlege when it comes to quality stick parts. What are the best or intermediate types of buttons to use, springwise I mean? Better yet, can someone just give me a breakdown of button types and what to expect from each one? That's not asking too much is it?

Hey Snake,

I just received my stick last night. It is great! Wonderful workmanship, my only gripe like a pevious post is the Hard Spring 360.. now I wished I wouldve gotten a medium competition since this hard spring 360 is near impossible to perform dragon punches consistently. But again thats not your fault you never built the Hard Springs. Love the artwork.


And just a headups to anyone whos thinking about getting a p360 hard spring, this thing is really tough to pull of dragon punches(precisely and consistently) I'll probably go with a medium spring the next stick i get from you Snake.

I'm not sure how to unscrew the screws that are holding the joystick in place. Maybe if you can give me a some quick instructions if its possible.

You dont have to solder anything,you just unscrew the screws on the p360 then you will see a spring,just swap the spring.
I still recomend keeping your normal p360 spring as it breaks in.Installing soft spring from comp joystick will make it even worse as it wasnt designed for p360. Speaking from personal experience. It just takes time,take your time and everything should be fine :)

you can use any buttons,get those 3/4 red once from radioshack.Then go to your local 99cent store(or local hardware) and get a 3/4" spade bit to drill the holes.

Its more cone like,attached a picture.
There is only 1 kind of p360 and its from happs.

You can buy handles seperate from slikstick but it cost like $30 just for the shaft :eek:

SNAAAAKE, do you allow for requests for a slight customization of your controllers? It is somewhat simple, I don't know if you do this anyways, from your photos, it seems like you may or may not.

Do you place the joystick at the level near the top row of buttons (i.e. the punches-item "A" in the attached pic) or do you position the joystick at the level at the midline between the punches and the kicks (as in item "B" in the attachment)? If not, would you allow for a request to have the stick positioned here?

I put em on top from now but I can make an exception and put both on the right side.

I recomend the ps2 version then you get ps2 to pc USB converter and ps2 to dreamcast converter.Its the easiest way.
I dont stock any converter so you are on your own on that.Check out www.levelsix.com for converters.

Select and Start on the right panel sounds fine. How long will it take you to build a PS2 stick? I am interested in a solid black one,
six button Street Fighter 2 layout, start and select on right panel, black Competition buttons, the stick at the midline between punches and kicks rows, probably a black P360 over a Competition stick. Plexiglass sounds good too. ($135USD+S/H) I will probably pick up a converter(s) from levelsix or ebay. Do you accept credit card through PayPal?

Do you use 1st party PS1 Dual Shock PCB's? I'm ordering a stick from you for Soul Calibur 2 and I usually play it on Gamecube or Xbox, but mostly gamecube. The adapters I have allow functionality for all buttons with those 1st party pcb's, but sometimes no use of the L2/R2 with 3rd party stuff. That's why I'm asking.

"My" p360 isn't any better then the onces from mas cuz the use the same stick I use.Its manufactured by happcontrols.com however I get my stuff from GCI.

You might wanna try an 8 way competition joystick(I use it myself).You feel all the corners and everythang.

MAS Stick- PS2/DC support with a p360. (the love older MASs, but i got one with a faulty p360 so I'm pissed...)

Real Arcade PS2- Worked OK until it broke

Universal Real Arcade- Blows ass

Blaze Dual arcade- blows ass

Purple and black plastic pelican- BLOWS ASS.

If you have a defective product, contact the manufacturer yourself and see what you can do to get a replacement. Why would you buy an entirely new joystick just to replace a P360?

Pulling off a combo is hardly ever the joystick's fault. You need to be able to do the combo in the first place in order to say the stick is a handicap.

The "newer P360s" thread is full of people who have gotten one of the faulty p360s. The u/b and d/b don't respond like they should so doing anything that needs a u/b or d/b comes out wrong since the sticks aren't calibrated right. It's fine or someone who only plays at home since once you get used to it you can get by. But for arcade goes it sucks because we're used to the stick responding perfectly but when i get on my MAS i have to CHANGE my playing methods to compensate for the faulty controls. :lame:

I would send the P360 back to Happs but I'm not 100% sure that MAS even buying from them. Plus, i don't know of they'd replace it since MAS bought it, not me. Not to mention i don't know how to uninstall or reinstall and p360 without messing up.

I would ship it back to MAS but they only have a 7 day return thing. And even if i did, chances are that they'd just send me another fucked p360. (it happened to someone here) And i would've just wasted $40 on shipping it there and back.

Happ has acknowledged that there are some defective P360's out there. They also realize it is their fault and people have paid full price for a defective product. Have you even contacted anyone regarding the replacement of the P360?

I go from playing on supers, to comps, to ultimates. Then go from arcade to emulator to console and back. I learned sakura's ground cc on a comp, then adjusted to a super. Go figure, when I got back on the comp, it took me 2-3 tries to get it back again. You can't always chose what stick you play on. Example: tournaments.

I know, with console tournaments, it's a bad example.

OK ima clear some confusion.I NEVER got any faulty p360 cuz I didn't buy any from happs.I bought all my stuff from GCI so therefore all the p360s I got is fine.My guess would be that GCI have the good once(they had them in stock and probley still have). I personally tested the sticks myself as well s'all good.

If you think you should be able to swap the stick yourself then order a p360 from www.gamecabinetsinc.com

The only MAS i have is the faulty one. I meant that liked playing on other people's older MASs.

I would just replace the stick but i don't know how to solder and stuff, yet. ( i will after school)

You don't need to solder. Even if the P360 in there now is soldered, just cut the wires and crimp 3/16" female quick disconnects on there. When you get the new one, it'll take 5 seconds to plug those on, then another 2 minutes to attach the base to the box. all you have to do is pass 4 bolts through some holes and attach some nuts(make em TIGHT). Then, slap the shaft of the stick in place and clip it on with the E-clip.

I just don't get it. You have a MAS where everything works great except one single piece. As such, you don't use it. And yet, you're not willing to take the risk of having a MAS in perfect working order. What can go wrong, you fuck it up and can no longer play on it? So what?! You aren't using it now.

EDIT: do yourself a favor and label the wires before you cut them.

I am using it every so ofren, it just doesn't work right. I'd rather sell my MAS and get a little money from it from some newb that can't tell it's faulty, then messing it up and throwing $160 in the trash. :mad:

I think i will order a new p360 if no soldering is need. I modded my PS2, i built my PC, i should be able to handle installing it. :cool:

I honestly don't see how you could mess it up. You'd be replacing one piece with an identical one. The only thing to avoid is touching the 5v and ground wires together while the thing is plugged in(which it shouldn't be if you're working on it).

my main concerns are xbox live headset connectivity, no lag between moves, and getting a setup with either a p360 or a sanwa optical joystick(the equivalent to p360). Is it hard to get sanwa optical joysticks? I believe this is the model number Sanwa JLHS-8Y

what kind of converter works on the univerial ports to make it work on Dreamcast? The PS2 to DC converter i have doesn't work. I'm guessing you use the same universal ports that the pelican real arcade uses since that stick doesn't work with my converter either. lol. Just give me a link and i'll buy it. :cool:

Pretty much open for anything however I have black and red buttons(nothing else looks better anyway imo). And black sticks,I can order other colors as well.

You can put any picture in there,I use jap competition/convex buttons cuz they are the smoothest.You can get it for PS2 only then converter for DC and pc USB(will get you link to those).Converters are like $10 a piece from eBay.PM for any further inquire.

Well the old radioshack converter(all black) worked perfect but this new one(blue+black) definetly has lag.You may not notice it but its harder to pull out hadoken,shoryuken,etc.

ok.. today was the official first day of month 3 ive been waiting on this stick... shit is getting absurd. how in the hell has "2 weeks from recipt" turned into 3 months.. seriously? i really hope you have a good excuse because if i hear some bs... im expecting more than just a stick to be in the box as to make up for this. posting anything derogatory really is'nt my style, but ive had infinite patience until now and being nice has'nt worked very well it seems.

dbycrash,more then half the time was happcontrols not having enough P360 sticks I ordered..they made me wait over a month not liek I could have done much about it.Then I was busy(still am) with test for college and didnt have like time at all but its been out.You expect yours by either this sat or monday(jewish holiday tomorrow so chances are its probley gonna be monday).
