Wuz up folks. This is the founder and organizer of the new Maryland congregation known as The Gathering. This is for my die hard gamers and those that want to learn or just chill. I invite yall to my home nestled in the nice neighborhood of White Oak (Silver Springs) every two weeks. This is my way of “giving back” since my ass is basically quitting the scene (alpha 3 head). Since the first gathering, skill levels have increased, the shy have become unshy and a variety of “topics” have been dealt with or brought up. Ive had outside family come to gatherings (Boston, NC, etc) and enjoyed themselves. Enough of the atmosphere just come and enjoy yourself. Oh my name is ANTHONY for those that never knew and only called me by my nickname, which is my nickname not a “gaming” title.

THE SETUP:

4-5 TV’s. Consisting from 20” to the big screen 53”
Multiple games running- -> MvC 2, CvS 2, 3s, GGXX, ST, A3, V4
retro moments - -> random snk or Nintendo games played


THE NECESSITIES (what you need for the illiterate) :cool:

Extra dreamcast – I stress this cause sometimes folks dreamcast tend to act dumb around a group of people
Arcade Stick – Another stressed item. Not everyone can play with someone 360 stick or stick from a shoebox control. So bring your own so you wont get owned.
Money - For food: There is a 24hr McDonald’s up the street from me. Also there is a Popeyes, Subway, Chinese joint, but they typically close about 11pm. Then you will need a 2 cent minimum for the KOOPS KRIB KONTRIBUTION fund for my final mortgage payment.

Ok from wherever – you want to get to 495 East (Silver Spring) . Take 28a WHITE OAK exit. You will come out on NEW HAMSPHIRE ave going north. Now continue straight and get into your left lane until you reach Schindler St. Make the left and then an IMMEDIATE RIGHT onto the service road for NH ave. Proceed up one block to McCeney and make a left.

Just talked with Koop - assuming the thing happens - I'll bring my rig thru. You will need to bring your own sticks with Playstation connectors. I will have (1) playstation stick capable and (1) playstation controller. I have coverters for my computer - however I cannot garuntee perfect 360s will work. Well since i'm just getting to use the internet at work i'll apoligize for not responding to all these post sooner. First Joe O called off the bet said he couldn't cash his check. (banks were open but thats cool) i'm not sure i wanna bet someone that calls it off the day of the fight it makes things harder on the person betting. I'm sure Rugal will play him. Next when i rank people it is all from past tournaments how else should you rank anyone. The issue about MVC2 its really simple Will said and I quote he would be willing to play Shamy/Omar for money in MVC2 but All that aside you Shamy are correct i'm not the knowing about MVC2 rankings so please rank the players in the region yourself.

Next weekend i'll be in NC at a tournament. Have fun at the Gathering .

James is right, according to past tournaments this is how i see rankings.

1st:Isaac
2nd:Omar, Will
3rd:Shamy, Dave, Pete, Rugal

So on and so forth.

For one thing, Shamy/Omar didn't even win their own tournaments. I won the first, and Punza won the 2nd. Then, I placed much higher than anyone on the list(minus will) at ECC, and i just recently won the NC tournament. Also, none of the VA heads even went to EVO(minus voodoo). Not tryna start beef, just goin off tourney rankings.

Me and Tom will be there this sat, can't wait :D .

Speaking for Joe o bmore, he didnt have any power and his peoples were more worried about getting things together. Plus Joe had to roll over to some of his peoples crib which was out of his direction for getting his loot. Remember Joe doesnt' drive so he has to rely on Metro to GET TO his check then come back. I doubt he isnt backing down, just the circumstances weren't right. Hell even IF he did you still coulndnt have gotten it on cause I had to make a move...remember?!?!?

Now this is how it's going to work. This tourney is being held at the sametime that a top Nascar race in NC is going on. Now that means that hotels were all booked up. Anthony found a way of booking one yesterday and I believe he told koop about it. We definitely need to take 3 cars cause we have too many people going already. I am renting a car and Jody is driving his own car. This third car is unknown at the moment, but if someone knows the deal then please let the rest of us know.

Bmore, Rugal, and myself are riding with some folks we know. So we are straight transportation wise. Hotels will be a bitch, thats what im trying to solidify now. That would be nice if we could all mobb at the same hotel, but who knows. Thing is we need to look where the RACEWAY is compared to the ARCADE that way we can eliminate those HIGH rates, no doubt they will push a little higher, but we are not looking for the PRESIDENTIAL suite or nothing...just a one nighter...so a "booty call" motel is cool. I will keep researching.

As far as Friday, we arnt leaving till bout 4-5 cause of our ride is military grounded and you know how there work schedule is...so we will be crashing in a little late [ 11-12 hr]....

Go to Enterprise RENT A CAR > they have weekend specials where you can rent a compact car for around 10.00 dollars a day.
Thats how it is here but it might be different in Maryland.
Anyway they give you 150 miles a day so if you get it Friday keep it till Monday morning youll pay about 35.00 something dollars,and
gas wont cost that much in a CC. that might be cheaper for you.

Well thats nice to know but moving on :rolleyes: , he did relay the message to me that he was taking his own car earlier today. So I don't need a second confirmation. It's just that it was a little easier for me to get to the rental place and afterwards pick him up since he was like five seconds away from my house. I understand the money situation for folks. It's also great that you guys know where you are going and everything so noone will get lost and we can all rep. Saturday as planned.
