PLAYERS PLANNING ON JOINING THE SAT. TOURNEY PLEASE READ THIS:

We should be around 16 players doing this tourney, if there's more than that, I will leave this tournament to someone's else, probably Arcade Kid. Here's the rules: 16 players in 4 groups. One group of 4 players playing against each other contains 9 matches. 9 matches take at the most 72 minutes(8 minutes a match). I will not call players by their name, I will call players by their group. After the round robin, i will rank players. Top 2 of each group will play in a ONE GAME SINGLE ELIMINATION QUARTER-FINALS, semi-finals will be best of 3. Finals Best of 5.
90 % for the winner and 10 % for the 2nd. This is the only way to make a tournament that can finish early.
Some may ask : "Why are we suddenly going to play Mony's weird tournament?"

Answers:

Are you guys really going to stay up late to watch some desperate fool trying to win 8 matches against Prez?

Players never really know when their next match is(doing it my way gives players time to go out the arcade without disturbing the tourney)

Players such as me and fred will not play usual "Mtl tournies" (we cannot run tournaments with one machine)

It really gives players pressure wich makes exciting matches

- It was looking like deja vue ... Fred beat Alex, Fred played against Prez in the winners bracket and almost won 3-0, but Prez turtling skills prevailed :mad: Veas had to play Alex again in the loosers bracket, but this time he was victorious .... what else ? ... oh yeah, Fred lost again in the the loosers bracket finals and then Prez had an easy time in the grand finals.
History repeated its self

- It seams like Fred, Alex, and Veas are on the same level right now, all their matches were really really close.

- JD was on fire today, he was about to OCV Prez, but then he got randomazed by that 2000 player :p

- The black dude from Ottawa and Gwai-lo are so funny when they play against each other, they talk shit like every second :lol:

- After JFL lost to Fred, he left cause he had to see some boxing match.


Fred : try to not be predictable in the future with your jump any attack then super or when you block a jump-in attack don't super right away, that's why Prez didn't get caught by those tricks, even a scrub like me noticed that.

Veas : after watching your matches against Prez, in which case you couldn't move that much, I think you could have done better with n-grouve. I still think your n-grouve teams are your best, especially n-chun-li/sagat/blanka.

Prez : Remember that you're the one who started hating on me from the beginning for no apearent reason, so no matter how many tournaments you win, I won't give you any respect and won't shut my mouth, you fuckin turtling piece of shit.




mvc2 :

- First round has always been a bad luck for me. This time I had to play Samnang :bluu: I was so ready for his Magneto that I forgot about his BH, the fucker put BH first instead :mad:

I find the controls at Pino to be OK, maybe sometimes they feel wierd but every arcade is different. If we do it at Mira there will not be that many people, if we hold it at Pino the last 2 times we've had over 20 people for CvS2. Atleast at Pino you aren't bunched up when you're playing CvS2 like the machine at Mira.

Anyways, I think Pino is better if you want lots of players but Mira is better if you just want a small tournament with the same people over and over.

Fees:

-5$ CvS2
-3$ or 5$ for 3 rd strike Depends on how many shows up if more than 15 which i doubt 5$ (JD try to bring those losers from Lanjeu)
-2$ Team Tourny for CvS2 and 3rd Strike(if people wants to)

I went to Montreal last weekend, but the main attraction was strip clubs. 'Downtown' seemed to be the best one. Canadians are spoiled with these places... US sucks.

I stopped by amusement 2000 or whatever it's called, but nobody was playing much. This was saturday at around 6p. MvC2 machine was set on slow speed setting. cvs2 was kinda crowded.

Yep, I'm that guy who used to play with MSTbonne a lot. I was just at Montreal on vacation with some buddies so we weren't aggressively looking for any arcades or anything. Just hanging out around Crescent street.

Montreal is pretty nice... although I get the feeling they don't like Americans very much haha. Not planning to go back anytime soon, but if I do, I'll check out JMAmusement or MIRA instead.

This probably isnt about voting or not, since the one doing the tourney has made up his mind but.. i vote pino arcade because
1. A LOT less crowded
2. A LOT less far to travel for myself and some other people i know.
3. The arcades at mira are surrounded by a gay blue-ish color
4. With all the people smoking in small mira, we will all get out of there with lung cancer :bluu: :mad: (if that many people show up anyway)
5. Since its further and the tourney will probably end late, people might miss their last metro ride.
6. Third strike doesnt cost 2 coins to start up at Pino.
