I remember Nintendo Power covering that Nes "Blue Dragon" one. But sadly the name escapes me.

This one is EVO the evolution game from SNES. Pretty fun, in fact I actually skipped the part to become a mammal in order to keep my reptilian flying abilities. Kicked the yeti's ass pretty quickly because of it.
