Does anybody have any strats with geese in A-groove? (not combos but strats) I know he has air fireballs, poke strings
(clpx2-3, c.fk, reppuken), nice combos(cross up, s.lk, s.fp
mk.jai-eh-ken), but besides that what other options do I have?

I,ve played with A-geese for a while, then I quit him, and then I went back to him cause A-groove geese is too fun. I use the namonaki custom(famitsu) cause it seems to do the most damage, and I made my own version of the anti-air CC.

Some people say that the less customs you have to know the
better, but I think the more you know the more options you have.
;)

I used to also use rock in A but I found it too difficult to make him
good in A-groove, which is why he was so much fun
IMO geese is way better in A-goove in terms of damage, and
the damage you can get in each custom is worth the bar,
even the anti air i use takes good damage, then again i could
just down fierce that shit...(dame i sound like a sagat expert:lol:

I use his counters from affar to gain meter and his c.mk comes in handy also and his far.fk set ups.. so this is my line up so far...

A-groove Joe/Geese/Raiden and im also practing the todo custom.
I might use him to replace joe once in a while...

(Dame I just keep babbling on:lame: )

Anyway if someone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated, especially if your an advanced Geese user like myself

Later...

Geese can charge meter by doing reverse tiger knee air-fireballs.

If people try to run at you from far away throw out the standing roundhouse.

also use geese's low RH into repuken a lot.

That far s.fk sounds like a good keep away tool for those who insist on getting in. :p

I also think a far s.fp would be good for that also.

Reverse tiger knee air fireballs sound like a good way to build meter, and add another tool to his strategy, they probally come out quick too.

Thanks box ill try that out....

Don't rush down in A. Use his zoning tools more and play more carefully than you would in N or K. Lots of air fireballs, RC Double Reppuken and even RC Counter for meter (even though it's otherwise useless). Play a little more offensively when you have a full bar, remeber you've got free jump ins. Also, don't even bother with supers, lvl1 RS is useless.

Did you know that a custom by geese on vega will pretty much kill him, because of all the hits from the lk jai-eh-ken's...

It knocks it off during the custom resulting in 9648 in dmg...

Without his mask on it at the start of the custom it takes
10748 in dmg:evil: (which is pretty much a dead vega)

no I wouldnt recomend rushing down with geese either..

I saw the gokichi vs ino vid yesterday and his geese was pretty dame good in A-groove even though he lost, he basically tried to keep ino pinned down, but he seemed to want to do that to his blanka a little more than the other characters....

If anyone wants to see it you can just download it in the multimedia section of shoryuken, he used a wide array of pokes too, canceled into reppukens of course.

And of course he busted the custom on him...

after a hp throw you can use a mp reppuken to pin them down then get across the screen by doing 2 lk jai-eh-kens or a mk or fk
jai-eh-ken, but be carefull if they have a groove that can safe fall,
so basically you can get across the screen while building meter
with jai-eh-kens, just dont hit with them of course cause they'll most likely be blocked unless combo'd...

The f+fp on wake up is a good poke to use also, but I dont think it beats DP's but you can experiment for yourself, just cancel that mess into a reppuken.

Can anyone help me out with some strats for A-geese versus:

Sakura
Chun-Li
E.Honda

Im getting straight raped by Honda, but maybe thats because im unfamiliar with him.

The guy I play against rushes my ass the fuck down.... HELP!

And does anyone have any A-groove match vids or know where I can get any?? (Besides the the ichi vs ino vid)

Thanks in advance...

What's the best way to break someone's Gaurd with Geese when he is in his alpha combo state?

F+FP owns the gaurd meter for free:

close S.FP, F+FPxN, Lk jai-eh-ken.. <- (canceled into the last F+FP)
meter breaks, close S.LK, S.FP into LK jai-eh- ken...

honda u have to use that double repukken alot. Stuffs head but. If u can RC the move its even better. God that RC is GOD. chunli keep her at a distance. Try to gain meter with ur strats. Cause that match is disgusting when geese does not have meter. Once he gets meter chunli can no longer cross up or do the spinning bird kick from standing m.p.........or else its *ching* and 60 percents of there life if not more is gone. I can help u out more if u want email at moosehummel@yahoo.com. He is my main man is tourney and has pulled out the most W's for me.
